"A Childhood Liturgy" was part of a prompt challengeāif I remember correctly, the prompt for this one was 'taboo.' The transgression here is more subtle than it could have been. The classic Americana-style murder, of course, but I wanted to explore the concept of 1) non-sexual grooming, 2) third-party sexual grooming, where the groomer has no overt sexual intent towards the victim.
Though not explicit in the text, Damien is Blake's biological father. Blake is unaware of this fact. Raised by an Asian single mother in a small, white Oregon town, the "Man in the Woods" fills the role of a father figure for him. As he grows older, he follows in Damien's footsteps, and both his respect and his fear of the man sink deep roots into his heart. This fic is a snapshot of why things end up the way they do.

This is the most ambitious project Iāve done in years and Iām so relieved I was able to make it before the late submission deadline on the 7th aha/// I initially started āNEVER ENDING FUNā as a fill for Day 1: HATEFUCKINGā/āVIOLENCEā/āDIVORCE, but things spiralled out of control and I ended up doing 17 out of the 21 prompts, give or takeā¦ So take this as a love letter to unwholesome OCing itselfāI hope you enjoy!

currently working on: Trying to see if I can squeeze out one more entry for Unwholesome OC Week (for body horror/coercion/proxy sex)! But otherwise, I'm trying to lay the groundwork for my share of a long-term project with some friends. I have the task of making a relatively simple-but-esoteric slice-of-life short story about one of my OCs interesting to read to a new audience.
currently wearing: My current home attire is boring, so let me offer a previous outfit that was more interestingāthis horrible, but highly comfortable short-sleeved, short-legged, satin pajama set that a family member gifted me, covered in black panther prints, ahaha. The fabric is a shade of icy blue, and for whatever reason the top button is a 3D panther head. What a gift! But so comfortable I can't complain.
last google search: This one's a bummer, but I was looking up my representatives to see who I should contact about KOSA and similar censorship/surveillance bills being pushed through US legislation right nowā¦ Before that was the embarrassing-to-admit, "can you taste blood agents in someone's blood" ahaha
favorite flower: There are so many I could say here, but first one that comes to mind are ė§¤ķ (maehwa), aka plum blossoms! If Japan has their sakura, Korea has their maehwa. I miss themā¦ They come in many colors!
