I wanted to make this account to talk about my medical problems and interact with the disabled and c!punk communities without taking over my main blog.

I’ll be honest I’m not sure how disabled I am but I wanted to be able to ask questions.

Here’s a list of my ailments for funsies and maybe someone might offer advice on dealing with things. I’m talking to my doctor but tests are expensive and I’m ✨broke✨.

So without further ado:

I experience chronic headaches everyday

I am officially diagnosed with scoliosis but I’m not sure how bad it is.

I have random pains in various joints and suspect I might have some form of arthritis.

I believe I have meralgia paresthetica but my doctor thinks it’s sciatica.

So yeah, I’m basically in constant pain every day so that’s fun /s

Anyway I hope I can connect with other people in the community!

We love finding a doctor who’s like “hey, let’s see if this medication will help your headaches” instead of just trying to refer me to neurology.

I hate when I decide to get rid of something distracting me but my brain decides to hyperfixate on other shit. I deleted tiktok cuz I felt like I was just doomscrolling every night.

So my brain has decided to hyperfixate on other things. Like I spent two+ hours making my resume. I don’t need a resume. I’m probably not switching jobs for at least 6 months. But I did it anyway.

I mean I guess it’s technically more productive than scrolling on TikTok but sheesh.

like my understanding was that addiction meant "I'm using this thing compulsively to get though my day and can't stop taking it, don't want to stop taking it, continue taking it, and escalate the frequency at which I take it"

But like

If "Addiction" just means, "I use it because it helps me function, and when I stop taking it then I revert to the damp sack of flour I was before I had it" then what. what isn't addictive

Like again I'm Not a medical professional so I don't know jack about shit but one of my parents was an alcoholic and I can fucking garuntee they never just whoopsee forgot to pick up their smirnoffs prescription, like they were pretty on top of that

Yeah this always confused me because apparently one of the prescriptions I was taking could be addictive. And like yeah I wanted to take it everyday so I wouldn’t be in pain. But now I haven’t been having much pain so I haven’t been taking it. And when I was taking it I would forget to take it sometimes.

Kellogs should pay me with how much my body advertises for them. My joints constantly snap, crackle, and pop.

I finally have an appointment with a rheumatologist on Friday. I’m hoping I can possibly get some answers about why my joints hurt all the time.

So the doctor ordered labs but since I haven’t met my deductible, it would be like $700 to get them done and I don’t have that money. So basically this was a bust and I wasted the uber ride money and copay. :/

it should be like prohibited for a chronically ill person to get a normal illness because wdym i have to go through a fucking cold when im already having to deal with all these symptoms everyday

I don't know why but my right shoulder has been hurting for days and I can't think of what could have caused it. I'm not sure if its a muscle thing or my possible arthritis but I want it to stop. I'm going to my PCP tomorrow but I don't want to mention it to her cuz I know that she will just schedule me for an x-ray and I don't think its necessarily something that would show up on an x-ray so its just going to cost me more money in the long run.
