Phil: I knew this was all really sensitive, uncomfortable and scary for you, so I kind of just wanted to give you time to figure out what you wanted to do.

Dan: Well, thank you for being patient for so many years.

Phil *effortlessly*: That's okay.

Dan: Because that affected you.

Phil: Yeah, I felt like I had gone back into a mini-closet in a way, which was weird.

Dan: And this is why all of the digging from people online hit a nerve because Phil was my safe space. You were my first boyfriend. And not just, oh, some guy! That's a good thing to tick off. You were nice and you were fun as well.

Phil: I tried!

Dan: Not only did I feel accepted for who I was for the first time, but I was like, wow, when we're hanging out together, this is great!

Phil: We had a lot in common.

Dan: Life is fun! We can spend 12 hours a day playing Crash Bandicoot.

Phil: What a time!

Dan: Maybe sometimes doing some YouTube work. No... studying.

Phil: I don't think I was a good influence for your law degree.

Dan: Everything worked out.

Dan: You were like a literal ray of light in my life back then.
