Of course you need to keep a certain tone for the kids and make sure you aren’t using words that are too big or inappropriate for them. And you were just so tired and you had such a long day and then you heard arguing and kind of forgot you weren’t with kids anymore…

Kyle immediately laughs at how obedient you made them, pointing at how Johnny has clasped his hands politely in his lap.

You’re only broken from your trance when John snorts, “why don’t you lot listen to me like that?”
