It is genuinely mind blowing to me just how many Tumblr posts have changed my life for the better and taught me to be happier. Not all of the thoughts originate on Tumblr, but the way people collect and frame them has literally changed my brain chemistry.

Always always always tell people you love they are so smart and capable. I will die on this hill. More often than not people are raised in unforgiving environments that tell them they are inherently “stupid” and not good enough for things, whether that be parents or cruel bosses or unsupportive friends. An underrated way of supporting people is reminding them they are brilliant no matter what anyone has ever said about their intellect and potential. People can do wonders when it’s affirmed to them their limiting beliefs are just that: limiting beliefs.

even when the world seems so full of unkindness, greed and ignorance, the kindness and generosity and the compassion of those who know about all those problems in the world and still choose to act differently never ceases to amaze me. their gentleness floors me, and I want to do more by their exemple, because i know from personal experience that their help, however small it might’ve seemed to them, made a huge difference to me 🌱🌻
