Wowza!

There is an AND though, because people who have said cruel things in the past have the ability to change, become better, and grow as people. This doesn’t in anyway mean you have to support them. Nobody should shame you for distancing yourself from anybody for doing something abhorrant. I still like to believe those people can be better, and when they DO apologize and grow from their mistakes, is that not what we wanted?

If holding somebody accountable is done to educate them so they become a better person, then let them grow. Let them be better. Expect more from them, always, remind them to be conscious and kind. But be kind yourself. Have patience, strand firm in your beliefs, and be willing to grow too so that you don’t adopt the same hatred you want to rid the world of.

This extends far beyond the Max G. situation, but truly my heart goes out to him. I hope his treatment is paid for. I hope he finds a stable support system, and that he’s able to find more reasons to go on. I hope that the illnesses he suffers from are researched and discussed more so people like him can also find treatment (AFFORDABLE treatment!!!)

Again. It’s okay to be upset with him. Nobody can take that away from you. He’s not perfect. Nor is this post or the poster behind it. Nor is the person reading this.
