I know you radiostatic shippers are frothing at the mouth and the Alastor simps are similarly losing their minds but I think we just need to appreciate this whole sequence for the sheer ANIMOSITY between these two, gay or not. Like whump is one thing-- whump on a character who is so used to being in control and is finally put in their place? Absolute cinema.
Don't You Forget slaps not only because it's a banger, but also because Rosie is right; Alastor has gotten cocky. He's needed a beatdown for a long time and it is incredibly satisfying to see it finally happen. He forgot that none of his power is his own, and Rosie (more gently) and Vox (more brutally) gave him an excellent reminder.
The breed of whump that is SPECIFICALLY a prideful and petty whumpee being humiliated and put on display as the pathetic creature they are is peak. This show did something right this episode.
