The only good thing that happened ( To me at least) in ch139 was Levi’s character closure.
He lost his mom at a young age, never knew who was his father, his uncle left him
He fought for his own survival in the underground at a young age.
He always wanted to go up to the surface, and he did, which cost him a lot
He fought for the scouts, he lended his strenght to humanity
“Humanity Strongest soldier”
He fought for his friends, for his commrades, for those who were too weak to protect themselves and their beloved ones, for those who lost their life, for those who believed in him.
He promised Erwin that he will kill the beast titan, Erwin trusted him and every other recruites. It took him time to fullfile that promise, but it was always in front of his eyes. He swore.
Dude had one leg in the grave and yet he never lost sight of his goal.
Finally, he gave meaning to Erwin’s life, all the scouts who fell in the battle, his squad, Hange.
That’s what he fought for: killing the titans and seeking freedom outside the walls.
