Imagine Percy Weasley during his first and second year wondering why his brothers didn’t warn him about all the bullying happening at Hogwarts, only to find out his brothers WERE the bullies (not actual bullies, but bystanders)

Percy Weasley, swearing in his second year that he would become head boy to stop all the bullying happening at Hogwarts. Swearing that his little brothers and sister would never feel different or distant from everyone else.

It's something he inherits from Molly; as a child, he remembers sitting on the sofa watching the sweaters being knitted, each one longer and bigger, more comfortable and warmer.

He likes to read and knit, sitting under a tree in the Burrow's courtyard while he makes a scarf, book covers, decorations for his room... whatever comes to mind.

So- he's probably living with his parents right?

Because even if he wanted to live alone, I'm pretty sure Molly wouldn't let him. Because he's still what 18/19?

So apart from Bill and Charlie dropping by because of the tournament he lives there alone with his parents. Like an only child.

And I doubt that was any near Ginny's experience in SS (where she lives with her parents for a year) because Ginny was 10, probably spending her year with her Mom.

Percy on the other hand works at the ministry at the time. And probably only comes home for Dinner, Sleep and Breakfast.

And I wonder if the argument was maybe just the cherry on top.

Because we don't know how his parents treated him during the year.

If he faced any burnouts in his first year working at the ministry- if Molly pampered him then, or if Arthur just shook it of with a simple "Expect more of those son. You just started at the ministry."

We don't know how they reacted when Percy told them he was a judge at the Triwizard tournament. If he even told them.

Were they proud? Or did Arthur just dismiss it again? "You're Barty Crouch Sr. Assistant what do you expect? Do you really think he enjoys spending time in Hogwarts, sitting in the cold and watching a lake for an hour, when he has other things to do?"

Because if Arthur did dismiss it, no wonder Percy got so angry when it happened a second time. After all he did work hard.

After everything we have no idea how they treated his school grades. Because obviously they were proud, but Bill did it first didn't he?

And he did it first, with no older siblings to help.

Imagine growing up in a family full of Quidditch naturals he ought to be also good, right??

I mean what if he's actually a great Seeker like his big brother — I mean all that uptight laser-focus energy had to go somewhere!

Then what if Oliver Wood who's in need of seekers just saw him in one of those free Saturday pickup games with Marcus and the fourth years... and almost had a breakdown when he saw his roommate that he has a crush since forever READS A BOOK WHILE RIDING THE BROOM AND THEN CATCH THE SNITCH AFTER FIVE MINUTES!!!
