Hello! I haven’t been on Tumblr for a really long time now, and I know that I have some friends, mutuals, and followers here who might be wondering where I went. I just wanna let you know that I’m doing okay! Well, kinda. I’m a college student now so naturally stress has been catching up to me (especially since i’m stuck in remote learning) but nonetheless I’m good lol. I’ve also been more active on Twitter too now and I’ve been posting my art there too, so feel free to follow me if you want! i’m “@_mhizzy” on there!

As you all may know, this server was made last May 2018 with the intention to bring together artists, writers, and creators in general to share their characters, ideas, and stories to others. Not only was the server able to achieve that goal, but it also became a platform for people to simply share interests, form bonds, and make friends. We will be forever thankful that the cafe was able to achieve this and we hope that it will be remembered for doing so in the many years to come. 

Unfortunately, the news to follow is a sad one but it was a decision that eventually had to be made. Seeing as many patrons (and even staff members) have already moved onto other things in their lives, and that activity in the server has decreased greatly, we have decided that it was time for the cafe to finally come to a close. The server will be deactivated on August 1st at 12 AM (GMT +8), so we’ll be giving enough time for members and friends to add each other and/or create their own group chats if they want to.

We would like to thank everyone for making this server a great experience, not just for creatives but also for people who just wanted to make friends and meet people with common interests. We appreciate every character and story you have shared with us, and we wish you luck in your future endeavours. Although this may be the end for the Original Character Cafe, it doesn’t have to be the end for the ideas and bonds that were created here. We encourage everyone to keep creating, stay inspired, and stay determined that someday, your creations and stories may be seen by many more.

We hope you enjoyed our stay in our humble cafe! See you again someday!
