ngl once i found out the ‘it’s rotten work’ quote was meant to be between two ‘cousins’ i didn’t wanna use it anymore bc i didn’t know how stuff like that works in greek mythology (i only have a bit of knowledge when it comes to greek mythology and that knowledge is basically stuff about the gods i was taught in primary school and secondary school and things i learnt by myself) so i don’t understand people being like ‘fucking tumblr’ because other people also had that same reaction??

like any one who knows even the tiniest bit about greek mythology knows it’s problematic or whatever you wanna call it nobody is disputing that but a topic like incest is something that’s sensitive and uncomfortable for a lot of people so i don’t get people being like ‘op you stupid fuck why are you trying to cancel greek mythology i hate tumblr and its obsession with purity’ instead of just simply being like ‘i get what you initially thought but it doesn’t work like that in greek mythology’ like can we all just take in some fresh air and calm down?
