OLD art I don't think I ever posted. Nanite zombies! These were originally what was going on over in europe in my Otiose setting- sort of post soft apocalypse wherein every satellite simply died at once and a slow rolling chaos ensued in a very bio/tech dependent future. Also there were space worms. I can't recall what the trigger for these was...I think due to busted communications, an exceptionally bad little bug (nanites animating corpses instead of dying with them) was unable to be reported or responded to in a timely fashion. The nanites were...i believe intended to be Organic and have a lifespan as a failsafe but ehh. Well! Oops! Problem is a lot of people had nanites. Even if not the Really Good ones, they were fairly accessible as a healthcare thing. Kind of a walking dead situation where Simply Dying at all could be enough bc you already have it (maybe). I think these zombies were something of a blight because they would eat just about anything organic, thus creating barren patches as they ate every animal and stripped every plant and tree. Grey goo apocalypse but its shiny nacre and somewhat contained within humans.

OUUUGH i am very sporadic with picking at my little worldbuilding projects so I don't gave much more to share. but one of the last things I was working on was ummm *checks notes* Racism! In the broadest strokes The Mau'lin tend to get it the worst, due to being quadrupedal and having to walk using their hands. The Tetmin are culturally some of the nastiest about it, as they have a general belief of "first is the worst". They predominately believe themselves to be the Third attempt by their god to make People, and therefore the most refined, the most elegant. Mau'lin are barely above animals, prototypes, and the Svanin are aggressive savages. That last point is a bit funny, as the Svanin have more of a social welfare structure than the Tetmin. Everyone has a Part in the social machine (which is also a war machine, so), to be purposeless on the side of the street will be met with attempting to find you a place FIRST. and THEN if you fail that you can be slaughtered in the arena and fed to god. But not without an effort! Svanin find Tetmin to be a bunch of prissy effete prudes* *sex and aggression are tied together a bit for them. Machismo. Tetmin are playing psychosexual high society intellectual mind games (and there are umm physical stereotypes related to these approaches) Mau'lin are most commonly nomadic or semi nomadic and have the usual range of perceptions that comes with, though I need to nail down specifics. They're a bit broad so I haven't quite picked like, the largest Group to work with, and being the more traveled ones I still have to figure out at least the most predominant pattern for that. Which means. General geography (cries) Relatedly, Tetmin Svanin and Maulin (i'm still debating on the ') I think are words in the tetmin language and heavily associate each with a God, and the "ideal" physical appearance of each. Maulin and Svanin call themselves something else
