We've been aware of our DID for almost 2 years now.
Due to that we've learned some things about learning you have DID and interacting with social media. Especially things like Tumblr and Tictok.
Here's some of that information:
Being open about having OSDID online it's best to consider the idea of not tagging who's fronting. I've seen a lot of people always putting down who's fronting. That can be exhausting and nobody is privy to that information. It's ok to keep some things private.
Remember to LOG OFF not like for a couple of hours I'm talking up to a month. Don't log anything don't look at any info on this disorder. Just take some time to yourself. The online community can be really stressful especially with all of the discourse and strict 'rules' some people place around this disorder.
If you're new to understanding DID/OSDD please don't interact with Syscourse. Genuinely stuff like that is exhausting when you're trying to figure yourself out. You should not have to put yourself into that it is not your job to solve anything.
Understand that it's ok to find out you where wrong. If you thought genuinely that you might be a part of a system and then find out it's something else? That's ok! No matter how long it takes you. Brains are complicated and fickle things trying to figure it out isn't going to be a linear process.
Make sure to keep up with other hobbies. I know that finding out about something like this can end up consuming a lot of time. There is so much to research and genuinely it's easy to fall into a hole. This may be a huge part of your life but it is not the only thing in your life.
If you tell someone about your DID it's not your job to answer every question. But to make sure they don't find any harmful misinformation give them a place to start researching. If you don't want to answer a million questions? That can be exhausting especially having to hold the pressure of being 100% right all the time.
For those who are starting to think they may have OSDID. Log off the internet, see if your symptoms hold true for a while. Realizing you may have a disorder like this can be really stressful. So making sure you don't fall into a hole or spiral by taking a break is incredibly important.
Utilize the block button. Block tags too. Sometimes the online community can be a mess. you don't have to deal with things you don't want to.
You are not obligated to engage in syscourse.
Finally, don't pressure yourself too hard. The internet can be exhausting sometimes. If anything on here is putting you through to much? You aren't required to interact with it. Take care of yourselves first and foremost.

why am I so difficult
05/07/2021
where do you go when nowhere feels like home?
Not striking a deal with an eldritch mushroom so you can keep your conciousness in an evergrowing, undying forest colony and live immortal, for a small, small price of your pathetic, temporary flesh as a nutrition for your future body??? CRINGE!!!!
hi. a lot of people dont tag unreality correctly or dont bother simply bc they dont know what it includes, so as a psychotic person i decided to make a list with the help of others to help ppl out.
heres a list of stuff that should be trigger tagged as #unreality:
anything implying the reader is not real in any way
anything implying other people are not real in any way
posts implying the world is a simulation or a dream, etc
posts about the apocalypse or that the world is going to end
paranoia inducing statements about people following you, someone being in your house, or that youre being watched by angels, ghosts or authorities (the "FBI in my laptop" meme especially counts)
statements about things happening at a specific time in the future
posts implying we're in a different year or have time travelled somehow
images with "shadow people", figures made of light, or blurred faces/body horror
posts that imply that the reader isnt human in some way
posts that imply the reader isnt where they think they are
posts that imply the reader is in a coma (especially when begging for them to "wake up")
posts that imply someone is talking to the reader, such as angels or god
unsettling images including floating objects, doors leading to impossible locations (like the sky), and "dreamscape" edits
predictions or "prophecies", including things like angel numbers
anything that anyone asks you specifically to tag because we're all different
if you're going to tag things like suicide and anything similar without being asked, there's no excuse for not tagging unreality. if you don't know if something needs to be tagged but you think it might, just tag it anyway to be safe.
however, if someone is in a psychotic episode and talking about it, please do not ask them to tag their episodes as unreality as it can cause confusion and make it a lot worse for them.
ok to rb & add on to (if youre psychotic)
Hey. Don't support The Crowded Room. I don't care if Tom Holland is involved or not, Dissociative Identity Disorder (otherwise known as Multiple Personality Disorder, although that's an old diagnosis that doesn't even exist anymore) is a highly stigmitised mental disorder that is heavily linked to trauma, and media villianising the disorder is extremely harmful for systems everywhere. Don't give it your attention, don't give it your money. We do not need another Split.
Edit: Singlets (non-systems) have no right to talk over me, a system, here. Doing that will result in being blocked. You all may interact, but don't comment on it

HAUNTED! + other oldies, but goodies.
It’s back! Now as prints.
(Store)
Store closes the 15th.
rb if you didn’t realize you had trauma until years after it happened
Reblog if you think asexuality is a legitimate sexuality.
I'm trying to prove something.
Reblog if your blog is a safe place for asexuals.

Hey if you’re schizophrenic/psychotic I just want you to know that you’re a wonderful person and that you deserve so much better than the demonization, marginalization and stigmatization you face in this society.
Please consider reblogging this/other positivity posts for schizophrenic/psychotic people every once in a while. If you have more than 100 followers, odds are that a couple of them experiences psychosis and that they rarely see positivity posts for people with their symptoms.
me: thrs no way i can have physical issues, neurological issues, AND mental illness this is excessive im making it up
actual science: ppl with neurological and/or physical issues are much more likely to experience trauma & be victims of abuse and therefore have high rates of mental illness and its very common to have all three
me: *pretends i do not see it*
