Since Arthur was born from magic, he never had the power of magic like merlin, but he had the ability to do magic only by chanelling Merlin's power by touch. So Merlin started teaching Arthur many tricks.
Arthur was amazed by it. Slowly, he started to accept his own truth and looked to magic differently ever since he knew that merlin was a sorcerer.
Can you imagine how intimate that would be for them? To touch, be touched, frequently, only to let the magic flow through Arthur's fingertips, like feelings that transcend speech.
They can feel it vibrating in every cell of their bodies, as if their very veins were connected, as if they were sharing blood and breath and mind.
They have to connect. Arthur has to trust in the very thing he's feared all his life, Merlin has to finally put down the walls of secrecy.
