Seriously though Charles is so freaking earnest and sincere that I can't even be mad at him even when I don't agree with him. He is a genuinely good person and although Magneto was right ™ about many things, Charles's dream was a good one.

It's not his fault that humans are assholes and one of those assholes decided to build a bunch of giant robo cops. In a perfect world we should all just coexist peacefully. We should all hold hands and sing songs and get along. Unfortunately the world is far from perfect and Magneto was tragically aware of that. But that doesn't mean it isn't still a future worth fighting for.
