Goddammit, I wanted to write more but I’m not feeling well physically, so I’ll lay down and call it a night. Tomorrow it is then….

♥ °. — It is the dead of night, yet the neon sign of 'IDYLLIC HOURS' still flickers in the empty street. Blood stains the glass panel of her door, smear marks dragging down to the spot where he once sat. Despite being a law-abiding citizen, Meili is not new to a sight like this. As a distant member of the Lin Family, crime has always been in their roots. Though one could consider, that she is... a rarity and also, an exception.

Her eyes flicker towards the mess outside of her shop, but it returns to the wound immediately. She will have to clean that up later, before anyone sees.

The open med-kit lays beside her, alongside plenty of cotton balls. They are soaked with red, but the tattoo artist is adamant on stopping his wound from bleeding before trying anything else.

She knows better than to pry. This man has the look of a predator on a hunt. Even when injuries have littered his body, his bloodlust remains.

Lin Muyang was raised with an abundance of love. As a child, he has learnt to receive it and also, give it to others. His family, the Triad members and even passing strangers— at some point, everyone Muyang has come across would be showered with a hint of the Sun.

For someone who is so comfortable with the concept of love, kindness and compassion— how did he become someone like this? So cold and detached, like all of the warmth within him had evaporated thoroughly.

The process to dissect and remove these foundational elements of his character is harder than grieving, yet... he chose this path still, a decision that was clouded with self-hate and survivor's guilt. Believing that the sun in him is truly gone, he does not know that it is, in actual fact, cascaded by many walls.

Walls that are hard to go past, walls that do not crumble easily. But through time and company, people will truly understand that what he holds within him is a veiled sun, instead of a cold and crumbled monolith.

For that special someone who has passed those covers, you will find that he still has fragments of the old Muyang— someone who shines, someone who is not afraid to shine.

Here are some examples of how he would act:

Maintaining and chasing eye contact:

Those red eyes no longer hide and will finally look up from the ground. He becomes greedy for attention and will undeniably focus on you. Sometimes his greed overtakes him and he chases after your gaze, playfully and yet... obsessively.

Does not mind and voluntarily starts skin contact:

Layers of clothing used to obstruct him from feeling. But this time, the gloves come off, bare and scarred hands touch you tenderly. He is finally able to feel your skin against his, it is exhilarating and addictive. He wants more... always more.

Expressions and words DLC (jk but also seriously):

He feels more at ease letting his expressions show, letting his words flow. More transparent and more casual in a way. He is still hesitant to say things at times, but it is much easier to coax it out of him.

Ego and confidence:

Muyang is actually a very confident man. It is scathing, to the point that it can be considered arrogance. A vast contrast to he, who had lost all of himself at some point.

He is not afraid to be jealous, he is not afraid to covert what is his. And he is not afraid to let that all be known, through actions and words. There are some instances where he crosses boundaries, but he is self-aware enough to understand this. Whether it is through self-realisation or the other party telling him so.

Despite all of this, he is still a respectful person. Messy, but respectful.
