Q: When you talk to your fellow contestants from ‘High School Rapper 2′ Lee Byungjae and Lee Rohan, do you have common topics?

H: The funny thing is we’re all working tirelessly nowadays. We talk about how we’re exhausted to death. Lee Rohan usually doesn’t mention it as much but me and Byungjae always say things like ‘ah, I’m so tired’. 

One day, Lee Rohan texted our group chat after drinking and said “Byungjae-ah, Haon-ah...if you guys are tired then I might as well be dead...” At that moment, I thought “ah, so everyone is going through hard times right now”. But in a way it’s a source of strength and there’s the feeling that ‘I’m not alone after all’ and ‘everyone is growing up’. 

Q: In the past year, all of the people you’ve met must have changed to some extent, right? Before, your days were spent mainly with your schoolmates or family, but now you probably meet up more with people for work, is that right?

H: After I dropped out of school, I didn’t meet up with anyone. At the time, my dad wasn’t home very often and my mom had to work during the day so I would only see her at night. The only one by my side was my puppy. Those were very quiet and calm days. 

But after participating in ‘High School Rapper 2′, I met a lot of new friends like Webster B and VINXEN. After the show ended, I mainly hung out with the H1GHR MUSIC crew. Nowadays, it feels like things have gone back to the time after I dropped out, but it’s not as idle as it was before.
