War Organs are one of the first fully fledged war tanks, using the new transfer spell technology and magichal gun/canon schematics hailing from the MDAP association. It’s a grand symphonic piece of grey courtian engineering, its pipes billowing magichal residue and shooting velocity spells with forces never reckoned with before. It was designed by the Individualist, Kihci General Roxdale Kelly with the creative help of his second in command, Slane Macfinelly. (We will keep their motives unknown…) It had only gotten to be used once during the Individualist insurrection, and some think that in that short hour of blood and hubris, it was born. Gained sentience. It played a song that its creator never directed. It was a desperate, painful song. Some think this was a sign of life, born from concentrated magich energy. I wonder how it felt? Born scared… dying scared.

Here’s Roxdale next to it for scale, this thing is MASSIVE

You will be following this snarky, energetic young girl throughout the series! She’s crass, reckless and a biiig rebel who will thrash around like an angry cat if you ever think of forcing her to do something she doesn’t like. But being the Scarlet Mage in 1892, means she has to do things she doesn’t like, and the pressure has become self shifting. I wanted her to very obviously look like a messy, inexperienced kid, wearing clothes too big for her as if to visually depict her as someone who hasn’t grown into her position yet. Bandages on her hands, shame, a coat to big for her to fill the role. She’s a girl of wild potential, a girl with one of the highest blood percentages of Seilben Sensitivity, and yet her track record stands at a negative. She has to reach her potential, she just HAS to… she thinks so at least.

Esoteric, scholarly, arcane and perhaps a bit overzealous, Costodia stands as one of two antagonists, being the figure head to the new, modern age of inquisition in Mereiño, the opposite of Captain Balagero’s old age of the divine families. I wanted him to feel modern (duh) so he has more of a 20’s sort of silhouette. I still wanted to keep some cultural pieces from both the Navy Court and the human pre-schism aspect (Argentina. Better seen when his coat is off) Born as a miracle during the Embezzlement War, without fully formed legs and face, and three striking blue eyes, he was gifted by the stars and constellations, meant to signal the turn of the century and the new age of discovery…. Or at least that’s what his parents think.
