In a normal urban setting TLQ and the og Princess meet in normal circumstances, maybe in a romance movie clichè way: they immediately hit off and fall in love and start dating.

The problem is they coincidentally have both weird familiar situations: weird in the sense that the Voices are all TLQ little brothers who grown up together in a orphanage under the care of the Narrator, meanwhile all the princess are girls raised in a prestigial (almost cultish) school guided by the president the Shifting Mound.

Both the Princess and TLQ are the oldest figures/siblings in their own groups who took care of all the others when they finally leaved their toxic households. That resulted in the voices/princesses being very protective of them, and that's why neither of the two discussed immediately the topic with other.

But then when they'll found out, they both first laugh at the incredible situation then they comprend why they understand eachother so well.

Still the introduction to the others may still be a little complicated.
