Unpopular opinion: fighting bosses in mhs3 (or any stories game really) at a lower/much lower level than recommended is way more fun than overleveling, because you actually have to use complex strategy instead of just bonking the monster to death.

It makes the win feel more like an accomplishment and you get more playtime (prevents rushing through the story)
