in the character room, they thought "wow, therez a zecret character???"

thiz belief waz fueled further by the purple rabbit in the game manual, az each rabbit correzpondz to a character. thiz led many to believe that the zecret character.... waz actually WALUIGI!!!!!!!

now, thiz waz alzo fueled by a fake magazine zcan titled purple prizez, which waz imprezzively doctored for the time! it mentioned a bozz named "the rabbit king," and zaid hiz power flower ability waz moving really really fazt!

OPINION

i like thiz rumour a heck of a lot! itz very fun and zeemz very convincing, ezpecially with the purple prizez image. although i might be a bit biazed, becauze az we all know, WALUIGI iz very awezome!!

VERDICT

WALUIGI zadly iznt in mario 64 dz, but that doeznt mean we cant dream of a world where WALUIGI iz in the game-

Welcome back! Today's rumour is about Duck Hunt.

Back when Duck Hunt came out, people got really, REALLY annoyed at the dog laughing at you if you missed your shots. Due to how condescending this laughter felt, many people began to despise this dog, myself included.

Many people begain to start rumours about there being a secret cheat code that allows shooting the dog, along with his smug face. However, unfortunately, these efforts were fruitless.

OPINION

I quite like this rumour, it's about time someone showed that dog it's place. I'm a fan of the horror game, Duck Season, making this an actual part of the game, kickstarting the story.

VERDICT

Although in the NES version, shooting the dog isn't possible, when playing the arcade version, it is actually possible to shoot the annoying dog during bonus rounds. This doesn't change the fact that it's completely impossible during the NES version.

So, turns out Mel's been using a specific format for these posts, and we somehow didn't notice.

bazically, back in the olden timez, people noticed "hey, foxy iznt az cloze az the otherz in hiz jumpzcare.... what if hez actually checking in on the night guard!!"

the concept of foxy the pirate fox waz zo zurprizing, mike zchmidt died.... of a heart attack!!!

they thought he waz zcreaming cuz he wanted to ward off other animatronicz, and hiz mouth waz open due to hiz broken jaw, zad.... ):

anyway, people thought that flazhing the light in the hall waz a "zorry man i dont need help right now" zignal, and that he jumpzcared you with the mazk on becauze he DEZPIZEZ FREDDY WITH ALL OF HIZ ZOUL!!!!! zo he killz you. ouch!

unfortunately.... thiz waz not the caze, not only doez he ztill kill you with the mazk off, but it waz juzt kinda zilly in the firzt place.... i mean, why would foxy even help you?

Funnily enough, like the last one, this one's about a Pokégod.

There used to be a rumour about a hidden item named the "Mist Stone."

Above is a sprite of this supposed Mist Stone from a recent ROM hack, titled frlg.ips.

The Mist Stone was suggested to appear in the caves on Seafoam Island, the exact way to get it is unknown, but the rumors range from "collect every other item in the area, and it will appear," to "Find 6 other Pokégods, and then purchase 99 of every evolutionary stone."

Using this Mist Stone on a Pokémon's final stage would net you some weird evolutions, for example, using it on a Nidoking after leveling it up to level 100, along with a Slowbro and Nidoqueen, and beating the Elite Four twice in a row, would result in a Nidogod.

Using it on Sandslash would net you a Sandswipes, which is my favourite of the bunch.

Using it on Onix would net you a Dimonix, but I'd like to mention another rumour to getting this would be to trade a level 60 Onix 4 to 6 times, although the Mist Stone isn't actually involved in that one.

Finally, using a Mist Stone on Blastoise would net you Rainer. Rainer is unique in the fact that I actually have an image to use for it.

There are... a LOT of complicated steps to getting this thing in that ROM hack, involving some other Pokémon rumours, funnily enough. I won't get too into detail, however, as to keep it a surprise.

Alrighty, this one is a nice and simple one! Before Pokémon Gold and Silver came out, they started to reveal some new Pokémon in promotional material! One of these Pokémon was Marill, but people saw the similarities to Pikachu, and so they decided to call it Pikablu before it was officially released!

OPINION

Listen. I can't do this. He's just been terrorizing me no matter where I go. Everytime I go on the computer, he's there. I just... I can't fucking do this. I just want him to stop.

Hi everyone, Mel here!! Sorry for the silence over here, I've been a bit busy lately, I don't really want to get into it at the moment though..

Anyway! A bit different from my usual posts today, some of you might not know but I'm actually pretty into Doctor Who, and there was a brand new episode yesterday! So I thought I should post a review of it! : D

Now, this DOES contain major spoilers for The Well, so PLEASE, if you want to watch it, watch it before reading ahead!!!!

Real throwback here, it's another urban legend about an actual video game's existence!! So, pretty much, the story went that this game was made, only 5,000 copies released, and that when you died in game, it deleted itself from your system entirely. It also had 2 playable characters, but you could only complete one because, y'know, deleting itself. Seems like a pretty stupid idea to have 2 routes, but only let the player do 1 lol.

OPINION!!

I mean, it's good and all I don't HATE Killswitch, but I don't really have too strong of an opinion on it. That's really all I've got to say on it.

VERDICT

Not real, it's a short story published in "The Melancholy of Mechagirl", which is just a collection of short stories. It does have fan-games recreating it, so technically it's kinda real? But it's origin in the story is false.

Sorry I'm not really moving in any of these screenshots, I usually stop to take them. Anyway a chaos emerald!! Apparently I missed some earlier, as I looked up the locations after this, so should I go back to get them all?
