anyway, it's frankly amazing how squid game had an entire portion of it's last episode dedicated to the final confrontation between the creator of the games and the protagonist where they bet on whether or not someone will show compassion to a homeless man, with the villain insisting that it won't ever happen because people are naturally selfish and etc etc which gets immediately proven wrong in the conclusion of that same scene when the act of kindness does happen, thus proving to the protagonist that people do care about each other and making him regain the drive to live and help other people again. and yet. there are still people who think the message of the show is the exact same 'people are naturally selfish and horrible' philosophy that the villain got owned for lmao
