"You ready, honey?" Uraraka waits patiently outside your dorm room, fiddling with the handle of her basket. Peeking out from under the blanket (acting as a lid), were bottle of
"Almost, just give me one second!" Checking yourself in the mirror for the last time, you grab your bag and open the door. Greeting your girlfriend with a kiss on the cheek, you turn to lock your door.
"Aww, you like great Y/N!" Looking you up and down, Uraraka's smile only grows when you look away in embarrassment. Her bubbly, friendly personality shines through every day, despite being easily flustered, your girlfriend has no embarrassment telling you how amazing you look every day.
"T-thank you, you- you look great too" She sets down her basket and jumps into your arms, nuzzling her face into the crook of your neck. You bring your hand up to ruffle her hair and plant a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"Awww, look at you two! So cute! Glad to see my sibling finally come out of their shell" An excited voice echoes in the hallway as Kirishima walks out of the elevator. "Looks like he's taking advantage of his scary dog privileges again"
"EWWW STOP WITH ALL THE MUSHY SHIT, THEY AREN'T CUTE SHITTY HAIR!"
"Bakubro! Not manly, dude. Plus, Y/N is cute thank you very much" Your position shifts as you bury your face in Uraraka's chest. She can tell you feel embarrassed and slightly uncomfortable, so she rests her hand on the small of your back, tracing small circles in an attempt to calm you. You feel her body shake as she chuckles, continuing the conversation with your brother and his Pomeranian.
It's almost ironic that the sibling of the friendliest, most outgoing person to ever exist is one of the shyest people you could ever meet.
"So... What have you two been up to? You're always a packaged deal these days" You appreciate that your brother cares for you, but sometimes you wish he wasn't so overprotective. Always prying into your business, particularly your relationship with Uraraka.
"Oh nothing much... Y/N doesn't like going into public spaces alone so we go out a lot" She and Kirishima chuckle at the statement, both knowing well that it's true. You tighten you grip around her waist, a quiet whine muffled by her shirt.
"WHY THE HELL DO-" Bakugou's yells are cut off by an elbow to the stomach "HEY WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!"
"Quieten down, Bakubro! I've told you about this already" He looks over to check on you but sees something he'd never expect. Uraraka was glaring at Bakugou.
"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!" Even Bakugou is shocked by Uraraka's expression, but it, unfortunately, doesn't stop his usual yelling. Kirishima, sensing the tension, grabs his arm and drags him back to the elevator.
"Well... We'll be going now, see you later! Sorry, Y/N!" You lift your head and watch as Bakugou attempts to loosen Kirishima's grip on his arm. Failing miserably, he is forced into the elevator.
"LET GO OF ME SHI-" The elevator doors close, saving you from Bakugou's uncontrollable temper and Kirishima's scolding.
"Are you ok, baby?" Uraraka pulls away, scanning your face with her hands on your shoulders. You nod, ears ringing slightly as you crouch to pick up her basket. Handing it to her, she thanks you and reaches out for your hand, intertwining her fingers with yours and tracing a heart with her thumb.
Once you finally get to the park, you help Uraraka set up the picnic mat. Taking two corners each, you set them down, placing your shoes and bags on the corners to keep the rug steady.
"Oh look, we're next to some daisies!" You pick a few and start to make a daisy chain, Uraraka leaning over you to grab a few before lying down on your lap. The two of you spend the next few minutes gathering daises and weaving them into each other.
"Sit up, sweetie" You say, placing your hand on the small of her back and helping her up. You then cup her cheek and turn her head to face you before placing your daisy chain on her hair like a floral crown. She giggles before placing the chain she made on your head.
"Now we're matching" She chuckles and kisses you lovingly. "Alright, next up is food. You hungry?" She adds, shuffling on her knees towards the basket and bringing it towards you.
"Mhm! I could do with a drink too" You reply and help her lift the cloth to uncover the snacks and drinks stashed underneath. There's an assortment of triangle-cut sandwiches with lot's of fun fillings. For drinks, she has packed two small bottles of water as well as some lemonade for the two of you to share. At the bottom are packets of your favourite snacks... Plus a tub of cotton candy for Uraraka.
"Baby, you packed so much! Oh, are they my favourite snacks?!" The two of you begin to unpack and lay everything out on the rug. Once everything was out, you pour the lemonade into little plastic cups.
"How did you think of so many different fillings? They all work so well together too!" Uraraka may not be the world's best cook, but she is surely the master of sandwiches. Each quarter is made with love and stuffed to the brim with delicious fillings. For a dessert-style sandwich, she has used brioche and filled it with sweet, hand-whipped cream and fresh strawberries.
"I have to admit, Sato was a real life-saver! Thank goodness he whipped the cream for me. My arm would drop off otherwise!" She chuckles, taking another bite of her cream-filled dessert.
Once you both finish eating, you get to your feet, making sure your cup is empty before placing it back in the basket. You then start running, past trees and bushes, dodging a frisbee passed between two young children.
"Where are you going, honey?" Uraraka shouts after you, also getting to her feet and packing her cup.
"You'll have to come and find out!" You slow down slightly, giving her the chance to catch up to you as you make your way to a field of blooming lavender. "I'm sure she'll love this" You grin, admiring the scenery as you wait for Uraraka to run up behind you.
"Hey, wha- Whoa!" You reach out an arm, wrapping it around her waist and pulling her closer. For a moment the two of you just stand there, taking in the colours and shapes of the field.
"This... This is so beautiful, Y/N!" Her smile only widens when you kiss behind her ear before whispering:
"I'm glad you like it, baby"
"Y/N! Where are you~" Uraraka shouts in a melodic tone as you pop your head up from behind a bush of lavender.
"Come get me!" You start running, hearing her soft laughter as she chases after you. A refreshing, summer breeze brushes past your cheeks as you laugh, glancing behind you to find Uraraka closing in on you.
"Oh! Wai- Whoa!" Once she's close enough, your girlfriend tackles you to the ground, making sure to cradle your head and pull you on top of her so that she can take the fall. The two of you hold on to each other tightly as you roll down a hill, petals and grass getting caught in your hair on the way down. Laughter is all that can be heard during your clumsy descent, despite your desperate attempt to keep your mouths shut, not enjoying the taste of the tall grass and flora. When you finally reach the bottom, you loosen your grip around Uraraka's waist and allow yourself to roll over onto your back, still holding onto her hand. Out of breath, the two of you decide to lay there for a little while and watch as the clouds pass by.
"That was fun!" Uraraka says through giggles as she struggles to catch her breath. You roll onto your side to stare into her eyes, reaching out your other hand to pick out petals and grass from her scruffy hair. She leans in and kisses you tenderly on the lips, caressing your cheek while your hand remains in her hair.
"We need to catch our breath, remember?" You chuckle after pulling away from the kiss, rolling onto your back again, and returning to watching the clouds. Uraraka squeezes your hand and points to the sky.
"Hey, look! That cloud looks like lavender!" It's more of a sausage, but you don't have the heart to tell her.
"You're right! What a coincidence"
"I don't think it's a coincidence... Oh! Maybe it's a sign!"
"What would it be a sign of though?
"Hmmm... I'm not sure... You know what? We'll decide now!" You roll back onto your side and so does she, staring into each other's eyes as your try to think of something appropriate.
"Alright then, what should it be a symbol of? Hmm"
"I know! It's a symbol of our love"
"Well then... I love you, Ochako Uraraka"
"I love you too, Y/N Y/L/N"
