The Undertale squad playing Smash Bros
Frisk: introduced everyone to the game, and is pretty good at it, but don't usually win competitive matches with their friends. They're good with pretty much any character, but usually, they use Lucas, since they relate strongly to his character.
Toriel: Doesn't usually play when Frisk has their friends over to play Smash. More often than not, she's providing snacks. However, when they convince her to play, she usually uses Princess Peach, because she's one of the few characters she recognizes. Frisk thinks that with a little bit of practice, Toriel could be a very capable Smash player.
Papyrus: Prefers to play the single player stuff, eg All-Star mode. When playing competitively with his friends, he usually wins, if Undyne and Alphys aren't playing. He doesn't have a real preference for any specific character, but if he feels he does better with someone, he'll use that one. He mains Lucina and Lucario.
Undyne: a real force to be reckoned with. She has a really good ranking on For Glory, and wins most of the time playing against friends. Her strategy is an all-out offensive assault. She mains Lucina and Sheik. When playing together with Papyrus, there's a lot of debate over who gets to be Lucina that round.
Alphys: Technical minded as she is, has researched all the strategies and optimal moves for each character. As such, she has a fairly good ranking on For Glory, but not as good as Undyne. She mains ROB and Duck Hunt. While in full knowledge they're not the 'best' characters, she can kick mad butt with them.
Mettaton: Despite his personality, he's not really that competitive when it comes to Smash. He just plays when everyone else is. He mains Zero Suit Samus and Bayonetta, for obvious reasons.
Asgore: Doesn't really know video games all that well, but still plays anyway, because he enjoys Frisk's company. When he does play, he is not good at all. He plays as Bowser, per Frisk's suggestion, and refuses to play as anyone else.
Sans: While he's usually around when Frisk and pals have their smash tournaments, he doesn't play. At first, he feigned disinterest, but several hangout sessions later, Frisk finally convinced him to play for just one round. That round, Sans played as Jigglypuff and completely obliterated everyone. They don't let him play anymore. That's how he likes it.
