Jessica Henwick, She/Her watch out , Bonny Mei Liu has crash-landed into roswell !! They look 29 and celebrate their birthday on August the 17th . They are from Portland, Oregon, reside in Moonbeam Gardens and are currently working as Olympic/Professional boxer. One thing you should know about them is they prefer to be called by their Chinese name and not their western one

Mei only had one set part of her day, the only part that was consistent. The gym was one thing she wouldn’t flake on, she couldn’t afford to, her body wasn’t just her income but her personal medics as well. Though before meeting Mia, she  would normally use her personal gym but the other made the gym more enjoyable. And that was at the forefront of Mei’s as Mia hadn’t showed up for their workout. She wasn’t angry, upset or even disappointed, she would just shrug it off and put a tally on her “this is why you don’t get attached” column.  

Mei had used the gym shower to rinse the sweat off, had gotten changed into more comfortable baggy jumper and jeans, she was doing up the laces on her trainers she looked up to see her buddy walking in  “Did you have a wild night? Because someone's so late I had time to shower.”  

Rue know that some day her big mouth will get her in trouble. Usually she seemed to escape trouble but it always seemed to follow her back. When the other women followed her, shirtless, she thought that the next thing will be a punch to the face. “And tell me again, why do I fucking care?” She said as she glanced at her “Look, I don’t want to fight and I don’t care so…”

Mei didn’t even hide her laughter as the other suggested that she might want to fight them “fight you? Give me a second I need to laugh that one out.” she laughed so hard it brough tears to the comer of her eyes. “Fighting a limp noodle would be harder, then you. That's a good one, you should tell that joke more.”

“If you do, I wouldn’t blame you,” was his final comment and Jay adjusted the heavy bag on his shoulder, a laugh escaping. He took a long, hard look at those using the punching bags just as one of them stepped away slightly. “You might be in luck already.”

“Looks like I am...” Mei didn’t waste any time moving toward the punching bag “See you around. Oy! You, yeah you step away for that fucking punch bag it’s mine.” dismissing the person she had been chatting to and warning another off that saw the opportunity as well.

unlike mei , all sparrow knew was anger . they were made of it . it lived in their chest , just behind their heart , and it was something that had been there since they were born . that was only exacerbated by their messy relationship . for a few years their brain was overwhelmed with bliss , but now ?? they were even more bitter than before . the bitterness tore them apart sometimes , limb from limb ; it seemed like , down to the bones , them and mei were total opposites when it came to dealing with anguish . “ my ex-boyfriend and his little friend . they followed me here – i don’t know why – and now i can’t shake the fuckers . maybe if i can throw a better punch they’ll finally leave me alone , “

“Followed you? depending on how far really shows how creepy that is, like if it was the next town over still creepy but not as much if it was across the country.” Sounds like this ex-boyfriend needs a life. And the friend? fucking weirdo. “Sounds like they need more then a punch.” Hell if she had an ex following her it would probably be the only time shed be outwardly angry.

Spruce took a step away when commanded. “I think I’m just doing it wrong,” they suggested, not wanting Wyatt to be seen as someone who couldn’t throw a punch.

“Then take some classes, they offer them here. Hell the gym should have me on commission with how many people I tell to go to that class.”

“Yeah I’d be horrible at that, like legit the worse. But respect for being a teacher, a profession I couldn’t do and should be paid more for.” It took a special kind of person to be a teacher, to help others learn. “When you get more comfortable come back to me, we could have a spar.”

“ alright , fine , but if you’re taking one of my babies you better drive her like the insurance is worth more than your net worth . i mean it – if there’s one scratch on her bumper by the time you’re done with her .. “ his finger waggled in warning but , being siblings , fletcher would always forgive her , no matter what happened . he very rarely took up the passenger side . the driver’s seat was imprinted with his own body shape , programmed to heat up perfectly to his favoured temperature , with the height and elevation adjusted just right ; the walk from his home , down the gravel path to his garage was a long and grumpy one , but eventually he flung the keys in the direction of mei and , disgruntled , forced his 6′2″ frame into the chair that seemed a whole lot smaller now he was being bullied into sitting there . “ i don’t need you to lecture me about my diet , mei . my body is in perfect shape . “

“Really higher then my net worth? Do you know how high that is now? ...But you don’t have to worry I did get my drivers licences” barely... but she did pass and it had been years since that test she had experience now. But maybe her driving style was more then what Fletcher's heart could take. Mei’s babies were differnt from her brothers, they weren’t so low to the ground, not sports cars, she owned 4x4. “Look if I get lectured about what I eat so do you, or do you want me to get my personal medic on you too?” It was alight hearted threat one that was joined by a mischievous smile as she turned the ignition. “Put your seatbelt on and enjoy the ride Xin.”  

          a breathy laugh leaves him, turning his head around to face her whilst quirking up a brow. “ya know, i would’ve been so offended if i actually cared ‘bout what you have to say.” the right corner of his lip twitches as he steps away and grabs his bottle of water, chugging down a good amount before he replies again. “good thing i’m not a boxer, then. and i’m sorry if my form is wrong or whatever but, ya know, some of us didn’t learn to fight in some fancy gym.”

“You don’t care? Ouch my heart, how will I ever recover from such a wound?” the tone teasing, sarcastic, overdramatic. As Alev came over Mei started to put her own gloves on while they got water. “ That's a pity, some of us weren’t given time to slack off.”

back in new york, finley was a regular at the dog pound. working out brought her a certain amount of peace, something she desperately needed upon her return to roswell. with every swing, she felt the tension she was carrying slowly begin to leave her slender frame. that was, until she was suddenly being critiqued. it seemed that no amount of money could pay for true peace and quiet. certainly got her access to some pretty cute workout sets though. “and how would you suggest i go about doing that?’ fin asked, a small amount of zing behind her tone. “sorry. i’ve just had a difficult couple of days. i’m genuinely curious, i promise.”

Mei always found peace and quite unreeving, when she was at her personal gym she would be playing music to fill the void. Here the community gym had enough chaos going on to sooth her. “There are personal trainers here who could answer that for you and I’m sure they would be happy for the business. I'm not going to take that from them,”  

“  and  what  exactly  makes  you  think  i’d  be  easily  frightened  by  you ?  ”  they  question,  eyebrows  raised  at  mei  as  a  small  smirk  appears  on  their  lips.  “  why’re  ya  judgin’  me  for  if  you’re  not  willing  to  help  me  out,  then ?  ”

“Well I don’t sugar coat, I won’t pander to you, most people want that. They have expectations that I should be a good teacher and I’m not.” Maybe if she tried but that was for later in life when she could no longer box. “Well if your now gonna tell me I can’t watch pretty women, I'm gonna be in heaps of trouble.”

           the reference causes facial features to twist into a grimace. he’d been to a couple of matches, watched some videos on youtube, so he didn’t think he was doing half bad. clearly that wasn’t working for him. “jeepers. i didn’t know i was so shit.” it takes a moment, and eyes sort of glimmer in recognition. “hey, you’re–” finger wags out, as if he hasn’t just forgotten her name. “i’ve seen you a couple of times, i think. you’re a pro, right?”

Part of her thought she wouldn’t get recognised in such a small town, that no one would have watched female boxing after all its platform wasn’t as big as the men's. But they had “ Yeah I am, Olympic medallist to boot. Can i get on with my training routine now?”

“Oh yeah, your expectations are clearly way too high…” Jay continued on lightly, casting another glance to the people in question. “On the plus side, that does mean they’ll probably be done soon.”

“Hopefully you are right...” Mei wasn’t exactly know for her patience, epically in the ring , she ended things quickly there, and now expected everything to be just as quick in timing. “If they don’t hurry i might have to tell them to move on.”
