I can't reveal some of my oc lore yet since I'm saving those ideas for future projects. But I can tell a few things about them.

Wilbur and Orville have a strained relationship, they haven't spoken to each other in years. The only reason they work together now is that Wilbur wanted to fix his relationship with his brother, although he's not doing a great job at that, as he likes to cause chaos and mischief, to Orville's disdain.

Orville is the owner of the small airline and wants it to be successful, since it's always been his dream to run his own airline. Before Raphus Aviation, Orville used to work as an air traffic controller at MRU.

Wilbur and Louis met when they both served in the Mauritian Coast Guard, they've been friends ever since.

Raphus set out on a cargo flight scheduled to depart from Mauritius to Réunion. Without Ovrille and Mary's knowledge, Wilbur smuggles aubergines on board in hopes of making a profit from Réunion's aubergine shortage.

Yayy I can finally post this! This comic was for a uni project and I thoroughly enjoyed the process of making it. Also this is the first time that I've made a comic that is longer than two pages lol. Hope you enjoy reading this silly story!

I thought it would be cool if Wilbur had a sailor friend since they could cause a bit of mischief together. Since Wilbur flies an amphibious aircraft and Louis has his sail yacht, it would be easier for them to meet at sea. Also, Louis and Wilbur used to serve in the Mauritian Coast Guard, which is how they became friends. Louis is 47 years old and 6 ft tall.

Personality wise he's loyal to his friendship with Wilbur, he's laid back and a little mischievous.

Louis' work within the tourism sector, offering chartered sightseeing tours. I'm not 100% set on this idea, so his job might change.

The boat he owns is a Moody 44 carbineer. I wanted something to contrast Raphus' rugged seaplane, and an elegant sail yacht worked nicely for that.

When designing Louis, I wanted him to be easily recognisable as a sailor while also being stylish. I took inspiration from a lot of fashion images/magazines of sailor/nautical inspired outfits. Stuff like the photoshoot for Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male and some of the 90s Versace advertising. I also loosened his clothing and added two stripes to his trousers to sell the sailor look. His hat is inspired by vintage French sailor berets. Although I wanted him to be stylish, I still wanted his outfit to be practical. So I made the trousers shorter, since I assumed he wouldn't want to wear long trousers, since they'd get wet. I chose gold jewellery so his design would match the colour palette of my other characters, since he's friends with one of them.

My name choices for Mary and Louis are kinda odd? I would kinda have to explain why I designed them in the first place.

Mary was originally my human/gijinka design for Merry from animal crossing. I lost interest in making animal crossing fanart, but I still liked my human design for her. So when I decided to change her design to fit into an original story, I changed her name to Mary because I changed her personality to headstrong rather than joyful. Also, Mary's last name is Earhart in reference to Amelia Earhart, one of the first female aviation pioneers. The same goes for Wilbur and Orville, but I decided to keep their names since I was so used to calling them that.
