(Near future headcanons I added include: the continuance of veils as important Alexandrian accessories, cause they are so practical. The existance of wallpaper, which probs wouldn't exist for a couple decades realistically but I wanted the walls to look nice. And oil lamps! Cause oil lamps have existed for millenia, historically oil could come from whales (perfect for a seaside state) and I love the look of old hurricane lamps like these :3.)

Trying some new and old things out with my hoard of unused CSP brushes and figured I don't draw enough men so might as well try them out on Ferdinand :)

Sure, space is very scary to us humans, no oxygen, no gravity, no UV radiation protection, too cold, incredibly vast distances, but at least we can see around us because light travels in space, but sound doesn't. You need particles to transmit sounds, which space lacks, and the Eridians are echolocators. They are fully reliant on their light-to-texture machines to see around them in the vacuum of space. They're incredibly new to space travel (presumably having not been often enough to have discovered radiation sickness yet), and they went searching for answers completely blind. And somehow they had complete intent and faith their astronauts would return anyways.
