Writing is a fucking humiliation ritual because why was I so ready to give up completly earlier this week to now texting all my friends to stop reading the first draft I sent and wait for the second because it’s so much better in every conceivable way

What's the first "big news story" you remember from when you were a kid?

It's something I love to ask mixed-aged groups sometimes because I think it's really interesting to see the responses. I've gotten answers from the Olympics of [whatever year] to Watergate to more recent stuff from my niblings.

My first news thing I remember is the OJ Simpson trial. I vaguely remember watching the news with my grandparents before that, but that's the first story I remember, in part because my second grade teacher had us go play so she could watch the verdict 😂

JK new Act I outline figured out. Suicide postponed. Oscar campaign back on

#fuck that peace meeting they’re going to the light kingdom for daylights funeral and starlights corination #and rose will get betrothed to starlight and married during his coronation. raising the stakes #and knight will sneak back into the palace to rescue her crew and get caught by rose #who chains herself to Knight when she catches her in order to force her to take her when she escapes #moving up their meeting to the end of act I instead of the beginning of act II #I PROMISE this makes sense this is gonna blow people’s minds when they see it in theaters!#anyway #should probably get back to my job now I guess #hashtag employed :(

#ok if you look past all the spelling errors and plot holes and corny dialogue and redundancy’s and the extra 80 pages over the page count…#…she’s like not half bad 😳#if I can lock in this year I could get a readable version done by September and start handing it out #DECEMBER!!!! I MEANT DECEMBER #if I try to fix her in a month in a half I will kill myself #I’m starting to think I may need to wait a bit longer before I get my Oscar :(

#I think I’m going through withdrawl #animation 2 on deck and I finally figured out how to draw without it looking like crap #but now I need to draw the other frames and have no idea how to keep the proportions on model #how the fuck did people used to do this with pen and paper?????#actually now that I think about it shift and trace would be pretty easy to replicate using pen and paper and a light table #ok so how the fuck did people do this with a computer but before the invention of toon boom harmony????

HELLO?????#also I have no pen pressure and every single tutorial on how to fix that is for windows so I guess me and my Mac will just die. ok. whatever #so i can animate shitty funny stuff but probably not anything portfolio worthy #unless I figure out how to make lineart with no variation in thickness not look like ass #yay #im eyeing the basic toon boom subscription baby girl come back to me I miss u so much

#JOKE of course but FUCK #Sad part is I used to use krita over the summer in my early days of college before everyone got free toonboom #and I can’t imagine how I survived this shit is fucking awful #not as awful as Clío studios animation function #I tried that for half a day and gave up IMMEDIETLY #kritas a bit more straight forward but the keyboard shortcuts make me want to smash a window #can’t hit undo without turning on the eye drop tool #which is strange since pressing Z isn’t even the shortcut for the eye drop????? it just does that for shits and giggles I guess #but when you’re hitting undo you just gotta be careful because command X will delete your entire canvas #so uuuhhhhh don’t miss that Z key I guess #and the brush stabilization is fucking awful too :( but there might be a spot where I can change that #but god #considering just forking over a basic toonboom subscription #for my mental health
