“NICE — never hears that one before. You never know until you try.” Bobby drops the ball of snow onto the ground, letting it start to slowly melt. “What do you do for fun then?”

“No, it’s not. I have a heart condition is all.” Ted groans as he thinks about it, his doctor giving him strict orders, but they might not be something he actually listens to. “I’m listening. You have anything in mind? Surely you must.”

“i thought superheroes were s’posed to be perfect?” loki gave the other a concerned look for a moment before groaning and rolling his eyes. “i was hinting. but, apparently, no one around here knows how to flirt.”

“Yeah, I don’t remember my parents so it’s not important I suppose.” RJ raises an eyebrow for a moment. “I wouldn’t make a good hero. I have too much blood on my hands, no one would trust that.”

the other’s words definitely hit a nerve with the god, a frown crossing his lips and sticking there, brow furrowed. “funny, i think i understand that too well. do you really not believe in redemption for people like us?” 

Sigyn briefly gazes upward giving a questioning hum before returning her gaze to meet his own. In a playful jesting tone she responds. “I suppose I possibly did, just a little.” 

he grinned at her for a moment, having missed the easiness between the pair. “tell me, what have you been doing while i’ve been absent?”

“Yeah, that’s the title given to me. I’m not Bucky. I was just an orphan raised to be his replacement. I don’t do those things anymore, but I’ve never met Captain America.” RJ admits with a shrug of his shoulders. “I didn’t mean to confuse you.”

“ah, the whole...orphan backstory, i know it.” he nodded, a small shrug. “if you couldn’t tell, i’m not one for the whole hero shabang, so it’s probably better that you aren’t him.”

“Aside from the world’s obvious problems, no. My life has become a serious of doctor visits which is so fun for me. I’m bored too I feel you, I need too DO something besides sit around.”

“doctors visits?” loki looked him up and down. “it’s not contagious, is it? because dying and coming back is very annoying for me.” he huffed before smirking once again. “well, if you’re talking about doing things, i am quite well known across the realms for that kinda thing.”

zinda glances up from the papers she’d been reading, clearly unimpressed with the others arrogance as all she offers is a roll of her eyes. “i ain’t ever needed to cope over no man honey, and i sure as hell ain’t startin’ with you.” the pilot responds, focus going back to her papers. “now, if you’re finished with ridin’ on ya high horse you’re welcome to join.” she finishes, plopping an extra file down. “if not, best bet is to get on outta here, kiddo.” 

RJ has heard of this Asgard place at least, not being that out of the loop. “RJ. They also call me The Winter Soldier.” He doesn’t have any impressive titles to his name otherwise. “It’s nice to meet you, Loki.”

“ i -- you are known as the winter soldier?” loki didn’t hide his confusion. “is that not captain america’s boyfriend? you look a little...younger.”

Ted takes a deep breath as he looks around them. “Well the destruction of buildings, sentinels continuing to be a problem, the government trying to push a cure for mutants — so same problems. Where have you been?” He asks curiously.

“oh, so nothing too exciting?” he rolled his eyes, leaning against the car. “around, here and there.” loki shrugged. “now i’m back, it seems i’m bored. what’ve you been up to?”

Sigyn was relieved to hear his voice again, if only as proof that he had been alright since his latest disappearance. A soft smile develops upon her face as she casually leans against the doorway. “I’m sure they have all missed you stranger. While you did miss some excitement, there hasn’t been much good mischief about since you left only bad.” 

“have you missed me, sigyn?” he smiled, more softly now as he looked on the blonde.

Ted pulls back from working on his car to look at who was talking. He wonders how he got there since he didn’t hear him walk up. He doesn’t know what to say to that really. “I think we were barely hanging on without you around.”

“now that is the kind of response i expected, ted.” he grinned, looking the other up and down. “what’ve i missed?”

“I don’t think I KNOW YOU. How would I miss you?” RJ asks with a confused expression to his face as he looks over at him. “I have managed. I have been living a sheltered life until recently so that’s my excuse. Who are you then if you don’t mind me asking?”

“well, then that’s more of an issue for you than i, isn’t it?” loki smirked, crossing his arms over his chest. “i am loki, of asgard. and who are you?”

“do i get any choices or is this off the bat?”
