The way the creators of the show clearly didn’t understand communism or anarchism and boiled communism down to “everyone should be equal” instead of class struggle and anarchism to “no government”.... ugh the creators of LOK are such liberals

obviously public housing and free houses would be better than the current American staus quo policy of “arrest homeless people and dump them in poor unsafe suburbs”, but really, it’s the housing policy equivalent to Pete Buttigieg’s “Medicare For All Who Want It” healthcare policy. If you want to genuinely eliminate homelessness for good, you have to eliminate landlordism and most forms of private housing for good. 

I highly recommend you folks read Matthew Desmond’s Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City to get a full idea on how fundamentally damaging and destructive the private housing system is. It’s not mere homelessness that’s the problem imo, that’s the just a symptom of the disease. The very nature of evictions and landlordism is, in and of itself, damaging and destructive to communities and people’s lives.
