New Hidden Springs (A Save File)🌿

So this is a made over Hidden Springs that I made in my game. There shouldn't be any CC in this only expansion, stuff, and store content. I hope you enjoy. There is a lot of lots from other worlds, and places like modthesims (all the houses should have their creator in their description). Anyways there are just a few families in this world, and I think perhaps only 1 original household. So yeah I took a bunch of them out so that you could make it how you want! There is a bunch of store stuff but I get all my store stuff from not the store so yeah..uh and my ea worlds are not from the actual store either. I get it from here. Anyways if you don’t have the store stuff it will just replace it with base game stuff so it shouldn't really be that important. I know for a fact that Deliciously Indulgent Bakery & The Century Manor lots are placed in the world. You will need EA worlds for some rabbit holes

It took ages, but after tons of tweaking and bug-fixing I've finally finished my first Sims 3 custom world!

West Arbor is a coastal town surrounded by forested hills and open water with rural, suburban, and urban areas. It has plenty of lots and activities for all sorts of gameplay, including clubs, coffeeshops, parks, resorts, stables, and much more.

-145 total lots (52 residential, 66 community, 27 empty) -2048x2048 world size -Populated and unpopulated versions -Populated version has 16 households (56 sims and pets) -Required expansions: World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Supernatural, Seasons, Showtime, University, Island Paradise (All of them except Into the Future) -Recommended stuff packs: Town Life & High End Loft (Neither are necessary and are just used for décor) -Store content used: Rim Rockin' Basketball Hoop -CC Free

This mod adds a new interaction to the film studio, allowing your sims to work as film extras to earn some extra cash. Various events will also occur during the process.

Requirements

This mod requires Late Night and Showtime.

Main Features

Sims aged teen and older can work as film extras at any time of the day. Sims who already work in the Film Career or are celebrities cannot work as extras, but those working part-time at the film studio are allowed to.

The interaction lasts for 4 hours. Similar to prom, a pop-up triggering a random event will appear every half hour. Below are the details and probabilities of each event (rounded to two decimal places):

Praised by the director: Gets a positive moodlet (16.67%)

Meet a celebrity: Increases relationship (8.33%). The celebrity must meet one of the following two conditions: 1️⃣Celebrity level is at least 3. OR 2️⃣Works in one of the following careers: Film, Music, Professional Sports, Singer, Magician, or Acrobat. This means you might meet Matthew Hamming, Pauline Wan, or even a 5-star celebrity cashier. If there are no sims in the current world meeting these conditions, this event will not trigger.

Obtain a Magic Gnome (12.5%)

Make a fool of themselves: Gets a negative moodlet (12.5%)

Get injured during filming: Gets a negative moodlet (8.33%)

Gain a little bit of the charisma skill (16.67%)

Conflict with another actor: Decreases relationship (8.33%). Preference will be given to sims in the following careers: Film, Music, Professional Sports, Singer, Magician, or Acrobat. If there are no sims meeting these conditions, your sim will randomly become enemies with a teen or older sim in the current world.

3 random filming work events: Purely text-based events (16.67%)

After the work is finished, your sim will receive payment (the amount is not fixed and fluctuates randomly based on traits and skills). There is a 24-hour cooldown before they can work as a film extra again.

Each event has a base trigger weight, which is further modified by the sim's traits. Sims with the Natural Born Performer, Star Quality, or Charismatic traits are more likely to trigger good events (being praised, meeting celebrities, etc.). Sims with the Clumsy, Loser, or Unlucky traits are more likely to encounter bad situations (making a fool of themselves, getting injured, etc.).

Tuning

You can adjust values for event weights, work hours, trigger intervals, celebrity relationships, etc. in the mod's XML file.

Conflicts & Known Issues

This is a pure script mod, so there shouldn't be any conflicts.

If a sim goes to work as an extra during their regular work or school hours, they might leave early or be reset by Overwatch, but they will still receive the corresponding payment. If your teen works as an extra during curfew, they will still be forcibly escorted home by the police.

If you place a new film studio in the world, you will need to save and reload the game for the interaction option to appear on the building.

Plumbots will not receive moodlets when triggering certain events, though it might depend on the chips they have.

Just place the package file in your Mods/Packages folder.

This is a mod that replaces most of The Sims 3's set of facial idle animations with their The Sims Medieval counterparts, resulting in subtler, more natural facial expressions.

Hello @frostedshore! Hope you don't mind, I've answered this as an ask/tutorial in case anyone else was curious how I roll for my sims sexualities

Basically, I also use NRAAS Storyprogression & MasterController to roll gender preferences for my sims, but I have custom balances set to make the chance of getting a non-straight sim a bit higher than the standard chance that comes with the mod

There's a very good explanation here on the NRAAS FAQ for how to determine your own custom gender balance if you want to use different settings to mine, as deciding your own percentages involves doing a little bit of maths!

My settings work out so that there is a 60% chance sims will not be straight, with 40% of my town being bisexual and 20% as lesbian / gay, if you want to just copy my exact settings here's how you do that:

Get to the NRAAS -> StoryProgression menu via town hall / a computer

Storyprogression -> Options: Main -> Options: Flirt ->

Chance of Bisexual Sim -> "57"

Chance of Gay Sim -> "20"

(Optional additional step):

When I enter a town, I often re-roll all undecided gender preferences for the whole town so that the premades will have more diverse sexualities, you need MC Cheats to do this bit

NRAAS -> MasterController -> Sim -> Intermediate -> Gender Preference -> "0"

To apply these settings:

NRAAS -> MasterController -> Town -> Randomize Undecided Gender Preference

I redo this last step every time a new sim in my household ages up into a teenager

I check sims gender preferences by clicking on the sim and choosing:

Nraas -> Sim -> Intermediate -> Gender Preference

I did a bit of meddling about with the Cloud UI Recolour tool by @cowplantcartel and wound up creating this maxis-matchy (ish) recolour!

I've also included a download for my TS2-style font replacement - which was created on the basis of @ohrudi 's tutorial & mod!

You can also use the TS2 font replacement with any other UI (I've just included it here because it fits the theme)

2t3 PlantSim Vines - Accessory or Default Replacement + Green Skintone Ramp/Slider Default Replacement

Can’t say I’m a fan of the aesthetic of TS3 PlantSims. That green color is uh, intense, and so is the leaf overlay. I do like the outfits and variety of colors TS3 PlantSims get, but I prefer the cute swirly vines and the muted green of TS2 PlantSims. Here’s my recreation of that in TS3.

Not an exact conversion of the TS2 vines, I had to erase and adjust bits here and there. Only babies have the little curl on the face since the mapping is different for older ages.

Default Replacement Vines

This replaces the leafy overlay (BodyVines, hidden in CAS) as seen in the preview pictures. Babies and toddlers don’t have the leafy overlay, so you’ll have to use the accessory version if you want them to have the vines too. There’s a wide range of colors that the vines can be, so some colors of the vines can be hard to distinguish from the skin. I suggest using cheats to edit your sim’s skintone in CAS, since PlantSim skintone is randomized anyways. This was made to go with the Skintone replacement below, but it still works with the vanilla green skintone. It’ll just be harder to see the vines.

Recolorable, but you’ll have to use a cheat/mods to unhide hidden items to see it in CAS

Default Replacement Base Game Green Skintone Ramp

This replaces the green skintone ramp (this one) that PlantSims use, inspired by TS2 PlantSims. Known as Alien Skintone in the game files, but alien sims use a different skintone ramp that was patched in with Seasons.
