Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm in my last year of college, and I'm swamped with assignments and exams right now. That said, I've been slowly planning a very exciting Sims 3 story/save that I can't wait to share more about soon. π
I also made an account on Pillowfort, where I'll be posting Sims 3 stuff that Tumblr definitely wouldn't like, if you pick up what I'm putting down... π

I think this means I need to take out my custom sliders before populating a world with StoryProgression... (I know I can set all of the immigrants to generate from bin sims, but I'm using a custom file to give them all last names from a specific list)
I thought it was time for a pfp update! I look a little different compared to my previous one, which I did about this time last year. I since got glasses (although they're not for reading/computer and I only wear them outside, watching tv and such since I have bad nearsightedness/myopia and astigmatism) and I've been trying out keeping a bit of a stache lately lol
I also started growing my hair since 2024 (for the first time in my life) and it's pretty much EXACTLY like this now. It was longer last year when I did the previous pfp but it was too long and I didn't like it.
I felt nostalgic so I made a little collage of all my pfp's since 2021.
Before ReShade, in 2021, I used to edit my screenshots on the airbrush app on my phoneπ

Sims 3 Male Eyebrows Visual Issue
Does anyone know why eyebrows often do this? Especially on sims with darker skin. It looks the same in CAS and in live mode. It's really annoyingπ
My graphics settings for textures and sims are very high.

For ages now, I've been looking for a playable restaurant lot in The Sims 3, but I've never found one. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and give the Business As Usual Bistro a well-needed makeover! This lot has so much potential, like the actual build is really well done, especially for an EA build, but the interior is incredibly lacklustre. My vision for this renovation was to create a "zen"-like atmosphere, with lots of greenery, dark wood and exposed stone accents. There is more than enough seating, inside and out, a bar where a mixologist will be assigned to and a more laid-back upstairs area with a pool table, TV, stereo and additional seating. (A big thank you to @dreamy-roses for helping me playtest this lot!) ππ½πINFOππ½π

Iβm sad because a lot of blogs I like are choosing TS4 and completely dropping TS3. I just want to know if at least some people are sticking with TS3 or both TS3 and TS4

~HELP NEEDED~ Hey guys! I was wondering if a fellow Sims 3 player might be able to help me test a lot I built/renovated in their game. I want to make sure I don't need to change things and replace the download link several times. Things like missing store content, routing issues, and such. I play-tested this lot, and everything works fine on my end, but I want to make 100% sure before I share it with you all. The last time I shared a lot, the stairs were broken due to a recently installed mod that allows toddlers to use them, plus some other routing issues. I would be eternally grateful! I've done a few of them a couple of years ago, and it was so much fun.
These default wood texture replacements should be in everyone's resource tab, because they're seriously a MUST-HAVE. The original textures are incredibly harsh, especially with darker wood tones. Do yourself a favour and get it if you don't already, and show some love to JaneSamborski, who uploaded the replacement. I've seen how some of my builds look in other simmers' games who don't have the replacement and get a jumpscare because the wood looks so awfulπ
