Can someone really help me understand why people love Shirou Emiya so much? Iām legit tired of being shit on whenever I try to admit the least dislike of him and Iām trying to understand why people are obsessed with him. Does most of the Fate fandom also just dream of jumping in front of the sword blow directed at a romantic interest who could have easily deflected the blow and is so far out of their league that theyāre from a completely different millennium? Iāve also heard that he basically assaults said love interest in a certainĀ ādragon not dolphinsā scene and Iām pretty heckin uncomfortable with that.
I mean, he cooks good Iāll give him that, but I really need something more to work with here. I am legitimately trying to like him.
Iād also like to add that I have no problem with Archer Emiya, so like, thatās not the problem. Archer Emiya is just as badass as he thinks he is and doesnāt hold wild illusions about life like a certain 16 year old counterpart of his.
Just...somebody please tell me why a character who is so annoying that their obnoxious nature is literally a part of the storyās narrative structure is worshiped as the end all be all of anime protagonists. Despite the sarcastic nature of this post, I actually want to find a reason to like him.
I don't usually make big statements, but this needs to be said:
We have a problem with firearms being too easy to get a hold of in this country.
We also have a mental health problem in this countries.
Together these two issues have caused far too much death over the past few years.
If the rich people who run this show want to buy everyone free and accessible mental health care, then that would be amazing!!
If not, then they should really stop pushing all the blame on mental health and do something about people having access to devices designed specifically to kill and destroy.

That feel when you meant just to reply to the professor, and instead replied to the whole class...
My biggest advice to anyone under a lot of stress: see that pile of dirty laundry over there? See that clean laundry that is lying in the hamper that should have your dirty laundry? Fold it, hang it up, and then get that pile off of your chair.
It doesnāt seem logical and Iām not even a tidy person, but my level of stress always seems to be directly proportional to the amount of dirty clothes not in a hamper. Itās like whatever Iām doing, that task is also always towering over me as well. When that task is done, suddenly everything just seems a little bit brighter.
Of course this isnāt a fix all, especially if there are particularly nasty hardships going on in your life, but if the weights of life are just getting you down, pick up your dirty laundry, youāll be surprised at how much it was contributing to your load.
