Have you noticed how different the last one, from  “Dipper and Mabel vs the Future” is from the others? There’s suddenly a fang(?) hanging next to binoculars - where did Dipper get it from? But more interesting are things placed on the “Mabel side” of the room:

- the fishing hat Stan gave her in Legend of the Gobblewonker

- a bottle with a message in it? perhaps the one from Mermando? - who she met in the Deep End

- that paper hat made out of a map from  Irrational Treasure

- “Summer Memories” album first seen in Society of the Blind eye

(+ a mug and those lights never seen before? why are they suddenly there?)

All these things strongly suggest Mabel’s been thinking a lot about what already happened this summer, it’s also worthy of noting that all of these objects are associated to some big positive events, those what were reassuring her in someone’s love for her: Fishing hat: Stan showing he really treasures her as his niece, Paper hat: Dipper showing her she’s not dumb - just thinks in a different way that most people and that he will always love and support her no matter what, bottle: her first kiss from Mermando who, even though eventually abandoned her, actually loved her back and was eternally grateful for saving his life. and finally the album: gathering all other happy moments of the summer. - this all shows she must have still been really down and needed comfort from the memories attached to these objects.

And the mug is the mug from Boss Mabel; you can see it more clearly in Sock Opera (obviously it’s missing some detail, but that’s just production stuff)

Also, I’d like to note that the gif from DAMVTF is the only one from season 2. (in order: Tourist Trapped, Tourist Trapped, Double Dipper, Carpet Diem, Gideon Rises, Dipper and Mabel vs the Future)

Season 2 has actually added a lot more detail to Dipper and Mabel’s room, showing things from throughout the show. Like you said, the fishing cap, the irrational treasure map, the bottle… Also the ripped picture of Candy and Grenda has been there all season, first seen in Boyz Crazy

Season two has brought so much more detail into the show, it’s fantastic. 

It really makes it feel like a bedroom that’s been lived in and loved the entire season, by both twins.
