The Sigillium Diaboli, aka the Mark of the Beast, is an initiatory symbol that we place upon ourselves during our first Witches' Sabbat Rite. It is a 3 part ritual in which the Warlocke will dedicate theirself to the LHP, study for 13 lunar cycles, & upon the 13th Full Moon be initiated via Dreaming the Sabbat & Receiving the Mark. The First Ritual is the Dedication & Year Study, Second Ritual is Dreaming Sabbat, & the Third Ritual is Taking the Mark. This is a system that is centuries old & began with the first Satanic Witches roughly about 900 years ago. Granted it has been adopted for the Modern Era as we no longer need to do it in secret. I prefer the rituals written in Michael Ford's "Book of the Witch Moon" as I am a follower of Natural Satanic Witchcraft, but you can use whatever method you prefer using the traditional base elements. Here is the core elements of the rituals I use for the Dreaming Sabbat & Taking the Mark, I use them for initiating Apprentices:
> Prepare yourself mind & body for the Sabbat.
> Do any ritual or primal preparations physically before Dreaming.
> Apply Flying Ointment to inner thighs, temples, & the Third Eye and meditate until the Ointment kicks in (I prefer a blend of Belladonna & Aconite, experiment to find the blend you like best).
> Lay down & visualize a doorway outlined in light, step through. Your Familiar will appear to you if you have one (if not the Devil will give you one once you are initiated).
> Fly to the Sabbat & you will arrive at it in time. What happens there is what you are meant to see/experience. If you have not been officially initiated, you will be. Copulation WILL happen so be prepared for it.
This is the physical ritual that finalizes the spiritual initiation of Dreaming the Sabbat.
> Create a Witch Name & Sigilize It: That's what the physical Mark is - your Name given to you by yourself & taken upon Initiation. This Name is inspired by the Devil. By now you have spent a year studying both yourself & your Craft. You have done some hardcore self exploration on all levels & know full well what you are drawn to. I will make a post on things you can use to create your Witch Name later. Sigilizing it turns it into a Mark that can be painted on the skin with your own blood. It also immortalizes it within the subconscious.
> Prepare any Ritual Tools: cleansing, consecrating, empowering, activating, etc. Do this according to your own practice. By now you have had time to do the full spectrum of studying & develop your Craft.
> Choose an Initiation Talisman: this can be any one of the myriad symbols Sorcerers have used for millennia. Anything from the Ankh to the Sigil of Baphomet to the Inverted Crucifix to the Pentagram to the Leviathan Cross to the Triskellion, etc. Whatever your paradigm is best to use what you are closest to. Or you can have a personalized symbol created on your behalf! Just make sure you will use it for the rest of your life as this is a life commitment.
> Begin the Ritual: light any incense you wanna use, light black candles if you have them, set your altar up in front of a mirror, have a lancet or a virgin dagger to draw blood with (you will need to draw blood to make the Mark upon your skin).
> Remember to speak the Lord's Prayer backwards to summon the Devil: one of the many ways to call on the Adversary is to speak the Lord's Prayer backwards until S/He appears. This is simply a traditional prayer, and is very powerful. Backwards talking is an aspect of the Sabbat as it is all about the reversion of Order, and Backwards Phonetics has always been a part of the LHP. It can be spoken reverse in English, Latin, or Aramaic, or even all three!
> Swear Allegiance to the Adversary: renounce your former religion & accept the Devil as Lord. This is symbolic of liberating yourself from spiritual slavery & becoming your own person. This involves exorcizing the Spirit of God from your soul, taking in the Spirit of Lucifer, & making a Pact with the Shadow. Do every Blasphemy & Desecration Ritual before proceeding. Live the Moment!
>Put On Your Consecrated Talisman: This is the physical representation of your Allegiance to your personal Path. It is symbolic of stripping the old & embracing the new.
> Pick Thy Finger & Take the Mark: after summoning the Devil & swearing your allegiance to Them, you must take the Sigillium Diaboli. By this time you are to have undergone all the basic Blasphemy Rites - Black Mass, Black Baptism, the Exorcism of Jehovah, Desecrations of the Cross & Bible/Torah/Qu'ran (or other holy symbol of your former religion), & the Witches' Sabbat Rite. All you do here is ritually draw the Mark over your Serpent Eye with blood from the left hand, and draw it with the hand you don't normally write with (remember the entire ritual is designed to reverse Order, do the opposite of what you normally would do).
