This is my first time drawing them…

Eileen let out her breath in a single great gush as she flopped backwards onto her bed. Her stomach flipped in nervous, excited jitters, and her hands instinctively scrunched at the blankets as she remembered-

God, he hadn’t even known how beautiful he looked, the golden hour cascading through his hair and over his cheeks. Looking up at her, grinning, like she was his favorite thing to see. She hoped, no - she wished she was, didn’t think she could be but desired it nevertheless. He was certainly all she’d wanted to see in that moment, even if she hadn’t know it ‘til it happened.

I love her so much.

But also, I love that the show actually did Deaf interactions and ASL right. I was actually on the verge of tears just because of the little stuff that so many shows forget. Like when Dean leans over to make sure Eileen can see his face on the screen. And when Sam doesn’t point the camera the right way, Dean makes sure that he does. There was no shouting or awkward over enunciation. They just talked like people. But they made sure they were facing Eileen any time they spoke to her. It was the little stuff. It was so considerate. I loved it.
