          “I mean . . . YEAH. Listen, I like to show off my body as much as everyone else likes seeing it, but I genuinely think that you should get to know me first, see that I have a heart, and a brain, and . . . yeah, no, I’m fuckin’ kidding, take a picture baby, it’ll last longer!” Aaaand there he goes, taking his shirt off for the fifth time today...

   “Hey, Parker, chill! They ain’t hotter than me!” Was that what he was supposed to say? What was Peter talking about again? Gosh, Johnny really needed to stop thinking about that one Netflix reality show and what he would do if he was on it... 

          “It’s Mr. Storm to you, nerd!” He only glanced at her for a second before his eyes were glued to the screen of his phone again, legs swinging slightly while he sat on the table. “I’m ‘boutta order me some cheat food, ya want somethin’?”

He didn’t take it that seriously, but he totally accepted the compliments nevertheless. “Good.” He reached a hand up to her face, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. He hummed in agreement as she described her family, lips jutting out as he took a deep breath through his nose, then exhaled soon enough. He stepped beside her, wrapping an arm around her before he started walking towards the door he came from. “It’s cute that you think my family’s functional. I mean, not to compare families, but you do remember that I got a dad in jail, a brother-in-law that neglects my sister who basically raised me, then there’s their kids who have been smarter than me ever since... I was gonna say the moment they started kindergarten but no... it’s probably earlier than that...” He shrugged, “Anyway, so the russian murderer part of your family, eh? When will you introduce me?”

         Nothing better than a roll of his eyes and a satisfied little laugh leaving his lips as Johnny laid right bak down onto the mattress, taking a deep breath before yelling just loud enough so that she could hear from the kitchen. “Straight outta those mommy milkers, Celaena! And uh... three sugars!”

“Sorry-” No, he’s not. And the smirk on his face is telling enough. “I got caught up in it! It’s just your back and neck, it’s fiiine...” He took a look at the many different marks of love bites, tiny burns and scratches, their bright red color in contrast with the other’s skin, and Johnny couldn’t help the laugh that burst out of him. “Just say you... fell, or whatever.”

1. “He’s actually funny sometimes. Don’t tell him I said that.”  2. “He’s like... he has this thing where he drops everything to come and help you? That’s cool, I guess.”  3. “All I need sometimes is just a look and he knows what I’m thinking about. I don’t have to talk about what I’m going through, because he just gets it.” 4. “Y’know what, he doesn’t actually believe this, but he’s seriously, like... how do I say this-- good looking? Hot. He’s hot. And I like that. Anyway...” 5. “I like his eyes.”

1. “She’s fun. Like, genuinely fun. There ain’t a boring moment with her around!”  2. “I like her suit. For no actual reason. None at all. (Tits)” 3. “She’s uhhh--- she’s taller than me. Only by like an inch, or whatever! Without heels. WITH heels? I mean... sheesh... Ya’ll think she’ll step on me?” 4. “Sometimes she makes me feel all tingly inside. Makes me think ‘Hey, maybe one day she’ll let me take her out somewhere nice.’, and then she crushes those dreams when she kicks my ass.” 5. “One time, I heard her snort while laughing. A+ experience, would recommend it for everyone.”
