On one hand, I feel the crass glorification of vigilante violence in online spaces is deeply troubling, because those celebrating the loudest tend to be people who are merely using a cause or ideology as a mask for what's really a deeply-rooted desire to inflict pain without consequences. On the other hand, I would be lying if I didn't admit the fatal shooting of a guy who said annual gun deaths were "worth it" to protect the Second Amendment wasn't at least a little bit funny.
