Inherited Trauma

I started this in the middle of reading Stone Butch Blues. I realized I’m a lesbian quite recently and having a book I related to on a very deep and personal level hurt me in the way that it did was enough to send me spiraling for a week and a half as I learned how to process that pain.

I don’t regret reading it by any means and I’m glad I know my history, but claiming it has been painful.

History runs deep.
