Summary: TF141 haunts your new apartment, how will you react to their presence?
Warnings: paranormal activity
The front door clicks closed behind you as you step into the small apartment. It had been a full week since the four men were last seen in your kitchen. Not a single sound was heard from them again after they disappeared into thin air. It makes you wonder if maybe you were going insane, But you know better then that. The paranoia of being watched still lingers in your mind, but for some reason you feel almost at peace. They didn't seem to cause any harm so far, so why worry? Shaking your head, you push those thoughts away. Having just worked a long shift, you choose to forget about your problems for now.
Setting your bag on the couch, You stretch your arms above your head, embracing the silence of your home after a long day. Looking around the room, your mind wonders to the ghost men again, wondering of they will ever show themselves again. Sighing, you walk to your bathroom to wash the day away.
Sitting on your bed fresh out the shower with your towel wrapped around you tightly, your shoulders are tense from work as you slightly roll them to ease the tension. Your eyes close for a moment, a slight furrow in your brow. letting the silence consume you. After a moment of sitting there, a soft brush of fingers graze your arm, making your eyes shoot open in surprise, only to find nothing there. Mere seconds after, the tv from the living room switches on, the muffled sound of the weather channel startling you more then you already are.
Pausing in shock, you glance around the room, almost expecting to see one of the ghostly men in the room. But you find nothing. Your shoulders drop in relief, your hand finds your arm where you were touched. You were certain one of the men did that. Standing up, you creep out of the bedroom door slowly, peaking your head out towards the living room. But you see nothing down the hallway. You relax as you walk into the living room, Seeing no one there.
Except the tv remote on the ground and the tv broadcasting the storm thats coming in tomorrow night. Crouching down to pick up the remote, you switch off the tv, making the screen turn black. Now looking into the black reflection, you see two figures in the reflection behind you, one way larger then the other. You jump, startled as you whip around, only to find nothing.
You tighten your towel wrapped around you, remembering thats the only thing you had on. You rush to your room, paranoia following you. While quickly getting changed in your room, you hear a muffled "shit" from the other side of the door.
After setting your groceries down on the counter, you begin to put everything away. A big storm will hit your city tonight, so you went grocery shopping in preparation for the power to go out. You are hoping the power will stay on, but knowing your luck, thats unlikely. After putting everything away, you set a few candles and matches on the coffee table in the living room, before setting a few blankets on the couch for comfort.
Entering your bedroom, you quickly change out of your clothes, and put on some comfortable pajamas. Before making your way back into the living room where your comfy set up was. Sitting down on the couch, you turn on the tv and change it to the weather channel. Your mind goes back to the night before, when you saw the two figures in the tv reflection. Shaking those thoughts from your head, you force yourself to pay attention to the weather woman on the screen.
After a hour or two, you lost count of how much time has passed as you lay limply on the couch. Watching whatever the tv had to offer. When a loud strike of lighting clapped across the sky, shaking the building with thunder. The lights shut off, encasing you in complete darkness. After a moment of silence, you gain the courage to sit up. Reaching your hand out blindly in the darkness as you try to find the candle and matches you set on the coffee table.
After a moment of searching, you find the box of matches, but fail to find the candle. Frustration fills your chest as you feel around.
Until you hear a soft sound of something moving across the table, before something cold and hard hits your finger tips. You jump, before realising its the candle you were looking for. Your hand clasps around it, you know it was one of the ghosts. "Thank you..." you hesitantly say out loud, only to be met with silence. Lighting the candle, the room is covered in a warm flickering glow as you set it down.
You sit back on the couch, the silence of the room was deafening as your thoughts take over. You can bet money on thinking the four men were in this room right now. The thought sent a shiver down your spine. You can't help but be curious. I mean how could you not, especially after seeing them with your own eyes. You lift your legs up onto the couch and tug your blanket higher to your chin.
A strike of lighting makes the room light up momentarily, a loud boom shakes the apartment. Making you jump at the sudden sound, letting out a shaking breath as you close your eyes.
A voice from behind you says, its right over you like they were leaning over the couch. It makes you jump, turning around to find no one behind you. You recognize the Scottish accent, remembering the one with the mowhawk. A sense of comfort fills your chest unexpectedly, knowing someone was there made you feel better.
You hear, the gruff voice sounds distant through the rain beating down on your window. Before you could linger on the voice, a dip in the couch next to you has you turning towards it. The captain, the man who approached you the first time you saw all four of them, sits beside you, his gaze already on you as he moves slowly, to not spook you. "You alright sweetheart?" His voice is low and gravely, but it cuts through the silent room. You simply stare at him, now finally getting a good look at him. Its like deja vu, Hes still dressed in tactical gear along with a bucket hat, you wonder how he died.
After a moment of simply staring at him, he softly smiles at you. Before another voice speaks up. "Is the thunder bothering you?" You turn towards the second voice, only to find the darker skinned man sitting on the coffee table in front of you. You slightly jump at his sudden presence, making price and a unseen Scottish man chuckle. "How adorable" is heard from behind you. Johnny towers over the back of the couch, hands resting on the back, incasing you in as he looks down at you. He smiles at you as you look up behind you.
"Storm should be over soon" a deep gruff voice speaks, making you turn towards the corner of the room. Looming in the darkness of the room, sat in a chair. Is the man who scared you shittless the first time you saw him. He sits man spread as his eyes are locked on you through the skull mask, unbreaking even as you turn towards him. Its almost hard to see him through the darkness of the room, but his large figure is unmistakable.
A large hand gently caresses your back, turning towards price, he wears a soft smile. "Simon is right. The storm will pass soon" a jolt of electricity goes down your spine at his touch, his hands are cold as his entire palm smooths across your back. You finally say something "have you guys been here the whole time?" They chuckle at your question, the topic is quickly changed "You should get some rest love" gaz speaks up, making price nod his head in agreement. "The storm will pass quicker if you do" gaz smiles, trying to provide you comfort through the loud rain beating down on the building.
Price stands up so you can stretch your feet out where he once sat, you hesitantly lay back against the pillow on the arm of the couch. gaz pulls the blanket up higher to your chest, before patting your head. He's pretty much babying you as he smiles at the sight, Before sitting back on the coffee table. "We will be here until the storm passes" simon says from across the room, giving you a unexpected comfort you didn't know you needed.
You close your eyes after a moment, finally trusting them to keep you safe. While drifting into sleep, you could hear a faint coo from Johnny as he looks down at you from above the couch, and a shushhing noise from price.
Waking up the next morning to silence was strange. You almost expected to hear the four men talking, but you didn't. The storm passed a few hours before you woke up, the birds chirping from the window confirms that fact. Sitting up from the couch, you stretch your arms as you remember how the four took care of you last night, how they gave you comfort in the darkness. You've accepted they are here, but its still bizarre to you.
Its also bizarre how much you like their presence. You like knowing someone had your back. Even if you couldn't see them most of the time. Getting up from the couch, you walk towards the window, pulling the curtain out of the way to see the damage the storm had caused. "Quite the storm that was huh?" A voice says behind you, their proximity taking you off guard.
Turning around, you find no one. But you aren't scared for once, your thoughts full of the comfort the ghosts provided last night. After a moment, you realise you recognize the voice belonging to gaz. You can't stop a small smile blooming across your face as you close the curtains back, you are beginning find yourself liking their presence way more then you expected.
A ding from your phone makes you look over towards it, picking it up from the coffee table, you see your friend had messaged you.
:Can't wait to see you tonight!! :P
You sigh as you pinch the bridge of your nose, you totally forgot you had promised your friends you would go bar hopping with them tonight. You got so caught up with the storm a few night ago you had completely forgot. You debated on canceling for a moment, until you remembered how you canceled on them the last time they had asked you to go out with them.
Looking at the time, it reads "6pm" you still had time to get ready along with mentally prepare yourself for social interaction. Feeling the dread kick in as you message back.
Before putting your phone down and making your way to your room to start getting ready. You take a quick shower, letting the water pour over you as you think about what to even wear.
Now in your room, you look through the options of clothes that are hung up in your closet. Searching for the right thing to wear tonight. After a moment of searching, you finally found something suitable. After changing into it, you look at yourself in the body mirror on your wall. Taking in how it fit you.
"Whats making ya get all dolled up?" Johnny voice cuts through the room, making you turn around towards his voice, only to find nothing there. Typical. You huff out a quiet laugh, before turning back to the mirror. Only to find Simon's large frame sitting down on the edge of the bed behind you, intense eyes unmoving as they are locked on you. You make eye contact with him in the mirror. Its like theres a constant darkness around him, you wonder what type of ghost he is.
After a intense staring contest with the ghost, a loud knock on your front door breaks the tension, making you look towards your bedroom door. Looking back to the mirror, you find that simon has disappeared into thin air. You hurriedly move out your room and towards the front door. Swinging it open, you find your friend on the other side.
He smiles at the sight of you "Hey! Ready for tonight?" He greets you with a brief hug. You smile back "im almost finished getting ready! You can come inside for a bit if you want?" He agrees and steps inside the apartment. You could feel a slight shift in the air once he steps inside, your unable to pinpoint why the room suddenly feels colder, but your friend doesn't seem notice anything. So you ignore it. He sits on the couch, looking around the space. "So how's your new apartment treating you?" He questions as you begin to walk away towards your room, leaving the bedroom door open so you could still hear him. "Its been great! The neighbors are quiet"
You couldn't help but laugh a little bit as you think about the ghosts who float around your apartment. now that you think about it, this is the first time you've had someone in your apartment. While wondering how the ghost men would react, you hear your friend let out a yelp from the livingroom. Peaking out into the hallway, you see him grasping the back of his neck with a look of confusion on his face.
"Everything alright?" You ask. He nods his head "yeah..." he looks around the room "I thought i felt something hit the back of my head" you frown at his words "oh thats strange" before letting it go and retreating back in your room to finish up. While you unplug your phone from the charger you hear him yelp louder.
You walk outside of your room to question him, only to be met with simon looming over the poor man from behind the couch, your friend sits on the couch rubbing his neck more aggressively then before, turning around to check who hit him. But he seems not to see the large dark presence behind him like how you can. You stare at simon, knowing he was the one who keeps pestering your friend. The ghost turns his head towards you, his stare just as intense as before. His aura seems darker then normal.
"What the hell keeps hitting me?" Your friend questions. Ignoring the question, you walk over to where hes seated on the couch "im ready! Let's go" you grab his arm and pull him beside you, before reaching the door before he could protest. Taking one more look back into your apartment before you close the door, now seeing all four ghosts standing in the living room, simply looking back at you with a unreadable expression, Simon's eyes are more narrowed then the rest. You frown at the thought of them as you and your friend walk out to his car.
Closing your front door behind you, you slump your back against it, letting out a sigh of relief. Your finally home. Kicking your shoes off, not caring where they land, you walk to the kitchen. The clock read "2:03am" you were out for hours, your legs are killing you. Opening the fridge, you pull out a bottle of water, unscrewing the cap before closing the fridge door. "How was your date" Johnny stands behind the fridge door, arm leaning against the top of it, startling you making you drop the water onto the ground.
It splashes on the floor, you quickly crouch down to stop the flowing water, but a hand grabs the bottle before you could, turning it upright. Looking up, you see gaz's gentle smile as he crouched down next to you "you alright?" He questions, you can tell from the frown in his eyebrows that the question ment more then he led on. "Yeah" as you nod, a hand towel gets dropped on the floor onto the spilt water.
Looking up, you see price looming over you two, his eyes locked on you with a small smile. Before you could clean the floor, gaz busy himself with it. Johnny comes up behind you as you stand, reaching out and grabbing your arm, and unexpectedly pulls you back into his chest, wrapping his arms around you. The sudden amount of touch takes you completely off guard. This is the most any of them has touched you. "Answer the question bonnie" Johnny says, tightening his grip around you slightly. "How was your date?"
"Johnny" price's tone is a warning, a unspoken conversation happening between the two with just eye contact. The silence felt heavy, making you want to shrink into yourself. Ghost steps up beside you, his eyes locked on your face, testing your reactions and facial expressions. you are now fully encased in between the four men. Gaz rises from his crouched position, looking over at price with a unreadable expression.
You feel speechless, you can feel the tension of the room, but you're not sure why they are acting like this, and why Johnny is so clingy all of the sudden. "It wasn't a date?" You manage to get out, making them look at you, still encased in Johnny's arms. "It wasn't?" Gaz speaks up, a spark of hope lingers in his words. "I was going out with a group of friends, he was just here to pick me up"
Johnny loosens his grip on you with a exhale that almost sounded like relief. "Oh" he says, the tension now gone from the room in seconds. Silence fills the room. Simon shifts on his feet, shaking his head slightly at his teammates display of outright possessiveness. Price mirrors him, shaking his head as he slightly laughs at the situation, he looks back up to you with a smile "how was your night sweetheart?" He asks, trying to distract you from their sudden possessiveness. He walks closer, grasping your hand gently, pulling you away from Johnny.
"Its late. We should get you to bed" his cold ghostly hands pull you towards your bedroom, not without looking back towards his team with a expression you can't see. Why are they acting so strange all the sudden?
