The second you enter Vagastrom's garage, the smell of oil, rust and sweat wafts through the air. Although the sun has already set, you still hear the occasional faint clinking of metallic parts somewhere in the backyard. To your surprise, the room is empty, with Sho and Leo nowhere to be found. Well, almost empty.
You notice a certain big figure sprawled out on one of the worn-down couches, black hair falling over his face. Your heart makes a little jump, a bubbly feeling emerging in your chest. This is the man you were looking for. He must have dozed off after a long day of work and classes.
Cautiously, so as not to disturb him, you take a few steps closer, silently taking Alan in. His chest heaves in a slow, steady rhythm, and his face—your breath hitches in your throat. His face is so relaxed. Devoid of any worry, any pain, any guilt. Your heart hurts, fully aware this is a state Alan would never allow himself when he's awake, always shouldering the problems of others and the consequences of his past.
With a tug in your heart, you kneel in front of him, admiring the usually strained features of his face now completely smoothed out and soft. Carefully, you brush a strand of hair out of his face, your fingertips tracing the scar on his eyebrow. You bite back a chuckle when Alan wiggles his nose and groans quietly in response, still asleep. God, if only he knew how cute he is. How dear he is to you. How much you wish him nothing but happiness.
You get up again, only to pounce on him. "GOOD MORNING, SLEEPYHEAD!"
He startles awake with an alarmed huff, a flicker of panic crossing his face, while you erupt in boisterous laughter. Even in this moment, his body answers unconsciously to yours, hands flying to your waist to steady you. And that's so him, isn't it? Always prioritizing you and your safety, even when he's barely awake and you just rattled him out of sleep.
When Alan fully recognizes you, the expression in those stormy grey eyes grows immediately soft. As if he's looking at something precious that could disappear if he turns his gaze away. And to him, you are exactly that. Precious and someone he never deserved to begin with.
"Hey. Careful, dear. Told you to stop waking me up like that." His voice is even deeper than usual, like gravel scraping over glass. But there's no heat behind his words. There never is. He would rather drive a knife into his chest than be angry with you.
You grin at him, your smile bathing the room like morning sunlight spilling through the curtains, and his heart stutters for a second. How did he, out of everyone, get so lucky?
"Sorry. Couldn't resist when you were lying there all defenseless." You lean forward, feet playfully kicking in the air, and brush your nose against his. A touch so light, so innocent and sweet, it feels undeserving to him, no matter how often you greet him like this.
He clears his throat. "You're bold."
You pull back a little and stick your tongue out. "And you love me."
His gaze grows even softer, one hand coming up to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. "I do. I'll always love you." Alan isn't the vocal type, romantic sweet talking foreign to him like a language he never had the chance to learn. That's why his words sink deep in your chest, taking your breath away.
Your cheerful grin turns into a genuine smile, your stomach fluttering. "I know." Your voice is only a whisper, but there's no doubt in it. No question. Because when Alan Mido dedicates himself to someone, he’s never going to turn his back on them.
"I love you too." You answer, pecking his lips and resting your head on his chest. You hear the thumping of his heart, a little faster at first, maybe because he had been startled awake or maybe because of the words you just exchanged. Then it settles again into the steady rhythm you're familiar with. The sound of your home.
With Alan stroking the back of your head in unhurried movements, your eyes flutter shut, a sense of security and content tiredness washing all over you. And soon enough, you're both falling back asleep, enveloped in warmth and peace.

He thought you were like this only with him, but he was wrong. You refused to be photographed, even if you did, you gave that tight-lipped smile that just scream 'Someone bullied me into posing for a pic!'.
Maybe something happened, or you're just being dramatic, trying to get attention? Yeah no, he'll never ask you what's wrong, so guess what? He'll find out. Through a more energy draining route though.

There had been several disappearances of people who reappeared a week or 2 later. When questioned, they seemed have no memories of that time period. It was suspected that an anomaly was involved and hence, Darkwick sent you with the Vagastrom ghouls.
These disappearances took place in an amusement park. The moon was nowhere to be seen, it was moonless night. And what were you doing outside the amusement park at night? Ask Leo.
"The gate is locked...how are we even going to enter...?" Well true, you weren't just allowed to blow up the infrastructures like James Bond. If only you had a dynamite....Wait, you wouldn't waste that on some petty gate of an amusement park. Watch out Leo, Don't piss MC off for the sake of your room!
"Through that, duh?" Leo pointed at that STAFF ONLY entrance a few foot away from the main entrance.
"Leo...You can see that it has a keypad lock? And we don't know the password." Sho jabbed his thumb at the black keypad on the door.
Leo just smirked. "Leave it to me."

And...you guys have been trying to figure out the password of that lock for a while [basically staring as Leo typed and retyped something on the keypad...] . Your patience was running thin, this was boring.
"You know, this will take forever!! I am going!!" Saying that, you stomped off to the nearby tree..?
"And where do you think you're going, honour roll?" Leo was clearly irritated by that attitude of yours.. But he finds that endearing too
"I'll breach into the park like a real man." That....made all three of them stare at you with a quizzical look etched on their face.
Alan was more concerned than exasperated unlike the other two as you started climbing the wall.
"MC...You should get down before you hurt yourself." He approached you as if you were a cat who got stuck on a tree and doesn't know how to get down now.
"Let her be, captain. She ain't a baby." that made Alan retreat back reluctantly as Leo dismissed your stunts.
And with your great athletic skills, you did succeed to breach into the park! Though that's different you fell right on your back and it hurts as hell, but hey, focus on the positive!
You were on the ground, before you could get up you hear a door behind you open. You turned to the source and...oh, its them.
"How did you EVEN do that!?" You knew Leo was really good with tech, but to this extent!? You could only stare at him agape while he just smirked victoriously.
Sho hauled you up to your feet since you were so much in shock you couldn't process anything.
"Are you hurt anywhere, MC?" Alan's concern snapped you out of your trails of thoughts. You nodded your head and smiled reassuringly at the taller ghoul which relaxed him a bit.

You were searching for something that looked like an old stuffed toy. You didn't have a picture of it so it was pretty hard to find it. The reports said that the only thing people remembered was seeing a walking plush that seemed pretty old...white cloth and many stitch marks, around 2 foot tall, not scary to look at but had an eerie aura around it.
"What do you think the plushie wants if it actually is the culprit?" You questioned.
"Dunno, probably trying to spread 'plush dominance' " and hence Sho and you joked around about an evil plushie.
But, the air started to feel a little heavier now. You could feel that something was not normal... Something inhumane was present among you all.. And you know they feel it too by the fact all of them tensed a bit.
And then you heard it. Something approaching you from behind. You turned and... There it was. The plush like anomaly which took steps in the same manner as an infant taking his first step.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"... It's small-"
"it was mentioned that it was two feet tall, what did you expect? A Godzilla?" Leo hissed at your comment.
As for the anomaly, it looked offended. It flared at you with its button eyes before it's stitched mouth tore open and a narrow beam of light shot out of it.
"Watch out!" Before you could let your reflex and adrenaline work, you were pulled away just in time by Alan. The beam hit the nearby stall which collapsed into pieces. Now that's horrifying...
The anomaly anomaly let out a high pitched shriek and fog began to envelope everything that was in your sight..
You couldn't see anything, the fog was too dense. You narrowed your eyes, trying to make out the shape of anything in your surrounding.. But it was of no use.
Just then, you heard a real hard punch lane on something that's soft. You heard the same scream as the fog disappeared and you could see that the anomaly was being pinned to the ground by Alan. It thrashed, trying to get out of his grasp. Leo was trying to tie the anomaly with anomalous chains given by the academy. (Yes I made that up 😔)
But... Where is sho? He was beside you before the fog... You looked beside you and you only saw a... White rat that's wearing a Persian blue bandana...? Did.... Did that anomaly turn Sho into a rat?!
You scooped the rat Sho into your hand.
"LEO!! SHO IS A RAT!!!"
The ghoul didn't even bother to look at you. " Seriously honor roll, I'm not your elementary school teacher who is going to resolve banters between you and him."
"I'm serious!!" You shrieked
Leo faltered and that gave the anomaly a chance to escape.. Which it didn't let go. The anomaly leapt out of Alan's grasp and then... It cloned itself into 3 anomalies. Double trouble? Nah, its triple trouble!!
Leo stared at the rat in hand, his eyes drifting back and forth between the rat, your worried face and to something or someone behind you which you didn't bother acknowledge.
"Ah... Is that so...? Then, you better take him to professor Nicholas if you want him back. Don't worry, cap and I will handle the anomaly." his tone had twisted from snarky irritation to a suspiciously sweeter ones which he used when he was either messing with someone or trying to get his way. But you weren't going to play his little games. Instead, you made your way out of the park, heading to the galaxy express.

"PROFESSOR PLEASE RETURN ME MY SHO!!" You were crying your heart out as you held up the rat to the professor who only looked helpless. You were in his office right now.
"I... Don't think we have anything to turn a rat back in to human...? I'm afraid I can't do anything about it.." the professor was bewildered by this absurd situation.
You heard the door of his office open and shut behind you, but you didn't bother looking, it has to be Leo and Alan.
"So he is going to be a rat forever!? My poor Sho..!" your crying got even louder.
"Yikes, so you think I got turned into a rat now? Seriously senpai?" You heard a familiar voice which you though you'd never hear again behind you. You turned to the source of sound and there he was, looking at you with a mix of pity and amusement, arms crossed over his chest. Sho.
Beside him stood Leo who was snapping a pic of you. Yours eyes were puffy and cheeks flushed, AND you were holding a rat, of course it's worth for blackmail material.
The moment you realised you have been fooled by Leo-
"EEEKK!!" you threw the rat away. (I repeat no rats were harmed)
"what? You were just holding that little creature in your hand like it was something precious honour roll!!" Leo wheezed at your reaction.
Both the first years were laughing loudly now.. Oh, they were infuriating. How dare he mess with you..
"You... YOU'LL PAY FOR IT KUROSAGI!!"
And then, legends say that you're still chasing Leo for your revenge.

His skin crawled whenever some other ghoul tried something with you. He wants to cut their hands off so they wouldn't touch you...
He had your schedule memorised. He'd keep track of you whenever he can, he just wants to protect you. Oh? That poor GA student who confessed to you last day? Gone. Suddenly he has disappeared all the official documents too...Don't dwell on this topic. Forget about him, he wasn't good for you anyways, darling.
He can eliminate the GA students with ease, but ghouls? It ain't a cakewalk, especially if it's his captain. He can't eliminate Jin if he wants his house to win the gala..but Jin couldn't seem to keep his hands to himself, always trying to claim you.. Before things further escalated between you and Jin...he had to do something.
And hence, here you were...in the vault, sipping tea. You trusted him.
"I hope captain wasn't too hard on you today?" his tone suggested that he already knew the answer.
You rolled your eyes. "Oh..if he was as cold as those metal chairs in the hospital's waiting area during winters! Typical Jin."
Tohma just chuckled and listened to you rant, it was kind of regular thing now...whenever you left Jin's room after being done with whatever tedious task he had assigned for you, you'd meed Tohma on the way and he'd invite you to tea at the vault which soon turned into a lesson on chess.
"Sometimes, i wanna hit him with the duster i'm holding..." You suddenly felt a little drowsy.. "wait..- Tohma.....why are you....two-?" Your vision blurred and you blacked out.
Tohma smirked as he saw you go limp. Thanks to the anomalous drugs that he could have you all to himself. Don't worry, he'll make sure nobody will come looking for you. The moment night comes, he'll take you to his room and tie you. You might act a little rebellious for the first week, but you'll soon understand and give in...You just need a little time.
