And this might be old news to people but it’s new to me, but I’d always assumed that Lizzie and Bumby were in a similar age group and Skizzieren was a late teen when she was murdered and that Lizzie too was a late teen

This is based on the fact Bumby was a student of their father, Dr Wilson saying Lizzie was too old to be a playmate for Alice implying they were age gap siblings, and the art of Lizzie in the family portrait making her look like a late teen to me, maybe 16 at the youngest

But, look at this art from the design Bible:

The only context we’re given here is that this is Alice’s christening, meaning that the little girl next to the cat being tended to by who I’m guessing is Nan Sharpe is definitely Lizzie, and on the other side of the christening is Bumby, clearly an adult, or potentially late teen with a beard growing in early.

Lizzie here looks like she’s 4 at most. It could just be stylisation (in which case it’s a very deliberate choice to make her look extra tiny and Bumby extra mature in comparison if he is a late teen with a full beard) but she can’t be much older than that and no matter what they deffo aren’t in the same age bracket like I’d originally assumed.

The fire occurred when Alice was 7, so if Lizzie was 4, she’d have been 11 at the time of the fire, which is genuinely crazy to me. At first I didn’t think that made any sense because she definitely doesn’t read as that young to me (she smokes, being one reason) but then I thought about it.

She has a very high voice in Alice’s memories. The Queen in madness returns is also referred to as Lizzie and very much looks like a child. So maybe it’s not that far-fetched

I’m not sure if these arts of her quite read as 11 to me but they deffo don’t read like 16-17 as I originally assumed she was.
