i don't even have anything funny to say, i just fucking hate this. hate it. viscerally. the idea that anybody would think this is something i would be happy about is utterly alien to me and anybody making ai generated photos of me is getting blocked on sight.

i only ever read the second book once but the first book was my first Grown Up Book (they had it on the the bookshelf in my 6th grade classroom for some reason??) and i probably read it like 5 times between then and graduating high school. now having said that i have to disagree on it being better than the movie lol, most of the changes were improvements (although as far as spielberg adaptations of books go nothing beats "jaws", that book is wretched)

if you want a glimpse of what a more book-accurate jurassic park might have looked like, check out "the andromeda strain" from 1971, it's adapted from michael crichton's first book and it's 90% scientists looking at screens but it's never boring because they're constantly doing bonkers camera/editing tricks like this the whole time:

i'm old enough to have seen the first one in theatres and it was an Event. Huge. Massive. Then each of the sequels was worse than the one before and i never bothered seeing any of the jurassic worlds
