I have an interest in putting together a little speed dating/ singles mingle type of event.

Do I have anyone who would be interested in signing up?

My pa was very much the kind of man who was very stern and strict about fighting as a last resort. Because he wanted us to go into the military and be able to carry ourselves in such a way that petty disputes turning into fistfights weren’t our downfall. But, he definitely preferred that when we did fight, we won.

I mean… I feel it. My father was probably just as proud of my first fight as he was when I joined the Marines, if not more so, as I know he was slightly disappointed I chose Marines over Navy coming off the academy. And I’m certainly proud of my lil bear for defending himself when it was needed.

Fair enough.
