I’ve always loved those embroidered high tops on Etsy and other places, but the only ones I could really find were floral, which is cute! But not my vibe. After I got the idea of owning Dead Poets Society shoes I instantly looked for some to buy and found none. So I did it myself! (But I don’t know how to embroider so I painted them instead.)
Maybe a little messy in some places, and the modge podge I used definitely smudged some of the letters, but they’re made with love.
I have a new blog (attached to this one) that has my book and movie reviews, along with some goals of mine for both.
I went through and cleaned out this account, my old fanfiction is still there along with the masterlist, but I don’t plan on writing any new ones. But who knows, maybe I’ll be swept up or something.
Anyways, any old mutuals of mine please reach out!! I’d love to connect with you guys again, and thank you for suffering through my heavily depressed years…

Draco Malfoy x Male!Hufflepuff!McGonagall!Reader
--
Wow, (Y/N) really should not have taken potions again this year. Granted, he had taken it last year… and failed. And it was a required class- but he should have requested an alternative. Rolling his eyes, (Y/N) wiped at the smudged ink on the side of his hand.
A book was dropped on the floor just a few feet away, startling (Y/N) out of his frustration. Draco Malfoy’s gaze darted around to see if anyone had noticed him drop the book he was holding, cheeks lightly flushed from what (Y/N) could only assume was embarrassment.
Quickly picking up the book, Draco found an empty table nearby and tried to suavely saunter over to it, but it looked more like a poor attempt to recover from his previous accident. As he watched Draco sit and pull out his things to study, (Y/N) recalled what his twin sister, Sweetpea, as their parents had fondly nicknamed her, had told him about Draco bothering her.
He wasn’t about to go out of his way to scold or intimidate Malfoy, but seeing as he was right here… He knew his sister could handle herself and would ask him for help if she wanted to, but this was the perfect opportunity to tell Draco what was what. (Y/N) considered the consequences this action would have as he put away his things. Whether he went through with it or not he needed a break from studying.
Silently nodding his head, (Y/N) decided to confront Malfoy.
Even if he wasn’t harassing his sister, Malfoy needed a wakeup call. At least, that was (Y/N)’s reasoning.
Slinging his bag over his shoulder (Y/N) approached Draco, who was surprisingly alone. Where were his lackey’s?
(Y/N) cleared his throat to catch Malfoy’s attention, “Malfoy?”
Draco looked him up and down before scoffing, returning his gaze to the book on the table in front of him.
This thoroughly ticked (Y/N) off, leading to him slamming the book Draco was reading shut. The nerve of this punk! He only raised an eyebrow as Draco objected.
“You can take a few moments to listen to what I have to say,” (Y/N) shot back in response to Draco’s, ‘Hey!’.
“And who are you, exactly?” Draco’s glare deepend as he leaned back in his seat with crossed arms, looking up at (Y/N).
“(Y/N) McGonagall.”
The only recognition (Y/N) received was a petty blink, but he took that as enough and continued.
“My sister was telling me you were bothering her-”
“I wasn’t bothering her, I was flirting with her, and if Potter hadn’t-”
(Y/N) leaned forward with a look that could kill, and Draco decided (completely on his own) that it was time to shut up.
“Harassment and flirting are not the same things, especially when she’s actively asking you to leave her alone,” (Y/N)’s words dripped with poison and Draco’s eyes widened. “The worst part is that it's not just my sister- it’s other girls too. And if you’re not bothering people you’re bullying them.” Draco noticed the way (Y/N)’s brows creased with anger, eyes aflame with the passion he had for this issue. It took him aback.
It wasn’t like this was the first time someone had told him this, but a complete stranger- and a Hufflepuff no doubt- standing up to him took him by surprise. Draco inspected his face further but he didn’t recall doing anything to this guy- they’d never even met. The only thing he knew was that his sister was the Hufflepuff girl he’d been asking out and they were both McGonagall’s.
“Nothing to say to that?” (Y/N) shook his head at Draco expectantly after not receiving any response, straightening his stance. With a sigh he continued, “Just leave my sister alone. Maybe if you were nicer to people you’d have more friends that aren’t afraid of you- or should I say afraid of your father?” (Y/N) rolled his eyes and took a step back from the table.
Draco seemed to snap out of his trance and regained his glare. “What do you know anyways? I have just enough friends and I never asked you for advice.”
Shaking his head, (Y/N) knocked gently on the table, “Well, if you change your mind come and find me.”
Draco watched him walk away, glare falling as he thought about what (Y/N) had said. Aside from the fact that he was extremely out of line, he was kind of attractive… not that Draco would ever think of a boy like that.
…
Draco sat with a slumped posture, picking at his dinner, fork moving a pea across his plate slowly.
“Catch it!”
Goyle snorted in response to Crabbe’s shout, opening his mouth to catch a grape Crabbe was about to throw over Draco’s head.
Reaching up to snatch Crabbe’s wrist, Draco glared up at him. “If you throw one more grape I will hex you.” The venom in his voice had Crabbe shrinking in his hold, putting down the grape and eating his dinner after Draco let him go. Goyle followed his actions.
Usually Draco would dismiss the guilt he felt after making Crabbe and Goyle feel bad, but after (Y/N) talked to him today he couldn’t.
Maybe the Hufflepuff had a point, Draco thought as he glared down at his food, not that he would ever admit it out loud.

Ron Weasley x Male!Ravenclaw!Granger!Reader

Ron is a proud person, but he can admit that he’s also a jealous one. Finding out that (Y/N) has been hanging out with a fellow Ravenclaw didn’t rub him right, and that feeling only grew after meeting him.
(Y/N) had been meeting up with his fellow Ravenclaw, Joshua Hendley, and at first it was to study. But soon Josh was asking (Y/N) to go to Hogsmeade or sneak out at night from the dorms. Sometimes (Y/N) would reject his invitations and other times he would go with him, and he hadn’t really noticed just how upset Josh would get when (Y/N) turned him down.
Not until now.
“I did it! I did it, (Y/N)! I won the game!” Josh had run up to (Y/N), who’d been standing with his sister and friends.
“Good job, Josh! Your team did great, you worked hard for it,” (Y/N) congratulated, patting Josh on the back after he was pulled into a hug.
“Who’s this?” Ron asked, sizing Josh up. Who was this random classmate that was forcing his boyfriend into a hug? His usual grimace overtook his face as he glared at Josh, and (Y/N) picked up on it.
“This is Joshua Hendley, he’s in Ravenclaw with me. We’ve been hanging out together for the past couple of weeks. He was the friend I mentioned to you.” (Y/N) took a step away from Josh after the hug and he didn’t seem to like that, his brow creasing at the word ‘friend’.
“Right… the one that’s been taking you to Hogsmeade?” Ron recalled a conversation they had over dinner the other day.
“Yes. Josh, this is my boyfriend Ron.”
Ron nodded stiffly at Josh, but he didn’t return the gesture. Instead he scoffed, looking at (Y/N) with an anger that (Y/N) hadn’t noticed before.
“Him? Really?” he raised an eyebrow at (Y/N).
Blinking in confusion, (Y/N) linked his hand with Ron’s, “What do you mean?”
“Ronald Weasley. You’re really going to settle for him?”
“Josh, I don’t know what you’re talking about-”
“Don’t you realize why I’ve been spending so much time with you?”
(Y/N) took a hesitant step back at the tone in Josh’s voice, and Ron immediately stood at attention, ready to do something he’d probably regret.
“It wasn’t because I wanted to be your friend, cupcake.” The last word was dripping with venom. “I have feelings for you but you’re too dense to see it.”
“I’m sorry, Josh, but-”
“Yes, yes- you’re with this idiot.”
Harry glanced away from his best friend to Hermione, but not soon enough to stop her from standing between the three in front of them.
“Say that again,” she threatened, pulling her wand from her sleeve. She was closest to Josh, weight in the tips of her toes as she almost fully blocked her brother and his boyfriend from Josh’s view.
“Get out of the way, Granger. This isn’t your fight.”
“The hell it is, that’s my little brother you’re shouting at. And Ronald Weasley is ten times the man you’ll ever be. My brother is lucky to have him, and the same goes for Ron.”
Ron seemed taken aback at this, smiling at the back of Hermione’s head. (Y/N) rubbed the back of his hand with his thumb, sharing the smile with him.
Josh snorted, rolling his eyes, “Like you can say anything. What do you know about relationships, Granger?”
(Y/N) went to take a step forward, but if Hermione seemed hurt by this she didn’t let it show. She raised her wand closer to Josh’s face, and her glare became even more intense.
“You will leave my brother and Ron alone. You will not see them or talk to them, am I understood?”
It was now that Josh seemed to realize the severity of his situation, especially when he looked over at Harry who was looking at him with a half-pity, half-anger filled gaze. Putting up his hands in surrender he backed up, glaring at Ron and (Y/N) as he went.
“And keep the Granger’s names out of your mouth!” Ron shouted after him, his arm around (Y/N)’s waist.
“Are you lot alright?” Harry asked as they started to walk towards the castle. “I’m sorry I wasn’t more help.”
“Nonsense, Harry. If you’d tried ‘Mione probably would’ve cursed you,” (Y/N) teased, nudging her arm as she tucked her wand away again.
“I didn’t know you felt that way about me, Hermione,” Ron went further, smirking at her as they climbed the hill, quickly dodging Hermione’s punch.
“I never said it,” she insisted, sticking her nose up as she went ahead.
“Thank you, Ron,” (Y/N) whispered, catching his hand again.

Hermione Granger x Fem!Slytherin!Reader

The fresh smell of new books would always cheer Hermione up. Not that she was in a bad mood, but it cheered her up nonetheless. Hearing the bell ring above the door was something Hermione had been longing to hear all year, the smell of a citrus scented candle wafting around the sunlit shop.
The walls had chipped brown paint on them, a warm timber color that seemed to be fading, showing the true age of the building. The wood floors had colorful rugs placed here and there, the children’s section a burst of color against the serene atmosphere. Waving to the man at the front desk, someone she’d seen there often over the years, Hermione was on her way to find a new book.
She walked slowly down the fiction aisle, her finger skimming the spines of each book. When she found one that caught her eye she pulled it off the shelf, reading the synopsis on the back.
“Looking for something exciting?” a voice asked, making Hermione flinch in surprise. She looked up at the person next to her, eyes wide. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you,” she laughed and held her hands up to show that she meant no harm.
“You’re fine, it’s just very quiet in here,” Hermione reassured, smiling gently at the girl in front of her. “And yes, something exciting. I’ve been reading non-fiction these last couple of months and decided to switch it up.” She waved the book in her hand around slightly.
“Hence the fiction section,” the girl commented, smiling with amusement when Hermione agreed. “That one is one of my favorites.” She gestured to the book Hermione was holding.
Hermione looked back down at the book, reexamining it. “Is it any good?”
“I’d like to think I have pretty good taste,” she replied, skimming the titles of the books on the shelf in front of her.
“Are you looking for something to read?” Hermione questioned, holding on to her book with more certainty than before.
“No, I just come here to find pretty girls to talk to,” she replied, her face completely serious.
Hermione was slightly taken aback, hesitating before asking, “Really?”
The girl’s serious face morphed into a smirk, shaking her head calmly. “No, I was being sarcastic. But that does tend to be one of the perks of this shop.”
Hermione laughed nervously in response, nodding her head before tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
“Yes, I’m here to find a new book to read. Any suggestions?” She motioned to the shelf they were standing in front of.
Hermione turned serious as she inspected the spines, her eyes catching a specific one. As she pulled it off the shelf she asked, “How do you feel about a mystery with a romantic subplot?”
“Sounds right up my alley, if I’m being honest.”
Hermione handed her the book and they both made their way up to the counter to pay.
“You’ll have to let me know how you like the book,” the girl insisted, scribbling something down on a nearby paper. Ripping it off she handed it to Hermione. “This is my house phone, don't be surprised if my parents answer.”
“I won’t…” Hermione trailed off as she realized she didn’t know the girl’s name.
Catching the hint, the girl stuck out her hand for Hermione to shake. “(Y/N) (L/N), at your service.”
“Hermione Granger,” she returned.
“Hermione?” a voice called from outside the shop, catching both girl’s attention. Hermione’s father waved to her through the window, motioning that it was time for them to leave.
“Ah, I’ve got to go. It was a pleasure meeting you! I hope to hear how you enjoy my book as well.” Hermione smiled, cheeks pink as she said goodbye. She scolded herself as she walked away, reminding herself that she had a new friend and she shouldn’t expect anything more. Well, she had a new and very attractive friend. There’s a difference…
A Week Later…
Sniffling, Hermione gently closed the book and placed it on her lap, wiping at her tears. It had been a wonderful yet heart wrenching book, in which the main character lost the person which they loved most. She took a deep breath as she looked out of her cracked window, reflecting on what she’d read. Taking a sip of the tea that had gone cold, long forgotten after the climax of the book started, she stood up.
Hermione had been using the slip of paper (Y/N) had handed her at the bookshop as a bookmark, so as not to lose it. Now, she’d use it for its actual purpose. Gliding down the stairs, Hermione found the landline in their kitchen, dialing in the number and holding it to her ear.
As it started to ring she felt pangs of nervousness with each ring that sounded. Should she actually call her? It wasn’t a prank, was it? She didn’t think it was- they both were interested in reading and it’d be nice to have someone to talk to about it… What if she’d been making fun of Hermione the whole time and-?
“Hello?”
Clearing her throat quickly, Hermione recovered from her surprise at the voice. “Yes, hello. This is Hermione Granger, I was wondering if I could speak to (Y/N)?”
“Just a minute,” what seemed to be (Y/N)’s mother responded. Hermione heard a distant shout for her, with a “your friend’s on the phone!” after.
After another moment a different voice echoed through the phone.
“Hey, bookshop girl! Hermione, right?” (Y/N) teased through the phone, and her ease comforted Hermione from her anxieties.
“Yes, it’s Hermione. I finished the book you recommended, just now actually.”
An excited gasp could be heard, followed by a, “Did you cry? How much did you cry?”
Hermione let out a somewhat offended scoff and shook her head, even though (Y/N) couldn’t see it.
“For your information I did cry, it was a sad ending! How come you didn’t warn me?”
“What would be the fun in reading it if I’d told you how it ends?” Hermione could hear the smile in her voice.
“I suppose you’re right,” Hermione sighed back, sitting down on a stool near the counter. “Have you finished the one I gave you yet?”
“Yes, I did! You know, I always do the same thing with mystery books. I think I’ve figured out who the culprit is within three chapters and am always completely wrong by the end of the book.”
Hermione chuckled, “I also thought it was Mr. Barnabee until chapter sixteen.”
“It so should’ve been him, right? And that crazy reveal in sixteen where Gracie the mistress pulled out the handkerchief- it was exhilarating.”
“I take it you liked it?” Hermione twisted the phone cord around her finger, giving her hands something to do while they talked.
“Oh yes, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Any more recommendations? I was going to go back to the bookshop this weekend to feed my addiction.”
“Addiction?”
“Of literature.”
Hermione snorted, laughing at the response. “That’s a bit dramatic, don’t you think?” The smile in her voice was evident.
“Not at all. I can’t seem to stop and it’s draining my bank account.”
Hermione giggled again. “How about this, we can meet up and shop together?”
“Even better. I’ll be there Saturday at noon.”
“I will too.”
“Bye.”
“Bye.”
As the line clicked to signal (Y/N) had hung up, Hermione bit her lip and sighed. She stopped mid-giggling and shook her head, scolding herself again. She’d found another friend who enjoys reading just as much as she does, that doesn’t mean she can’t still scare them off. She needed to tone it down.
…
The summer had ended as soon as it began as the girl’s read together. They started going to each other’s houses to read, and Hermione had gotten into the habit of laying her head on (Y/N)’s lap, listening to her tell the most wondrous stories from the books.
They laughed together, cried together, damn near did everything together. None of which helped Hermione get rid of her feelings in the slightest. Little did she know, (Y/N) had started to harbor feelings for her as well, what with so much time spent with each other.
Today they were reading separately, Hermione sitting against the headboard of her bed while (Y/N) laid at the end, legs hanging off as she fingered the corner of the page. It didn’t seem like she was actually reading, but lost in thought.
Hermione’s gaze kept darting from her book to the girl in front of her, blushing every time she was almost caught.
Truth was, both the girl’s were trying to figure out how to tell the other they wouldn’t be at home for the school year. They couldn’t very well tell the other that she was a witch! Well, they could, but they didn’t know that yet.
(Y/N) shifted her position to sit up, facing Hermione and abandoning her book.
“‘Mione?”
“Hm?” Hermione set down her book, giving (Y/N) her full attention.
“I need to tell you something.”
“What is it?” She began to worry, her own problems shoved to the back of her mind.
“Summer’s almost over… I just wanted to tell you that I won’t be here when school starts back up.” (Y/N) bit her lip, picking at the skin of her nails. “I’m attending this boarding school, it’s a live-in…”
Hermione let out a somewhat relieved sigh at the admission, setting her book aside and scooting towards (Y/N) on the bed. Taking her hands in her own, Hermione smiled at her.
“I won’t either for the same reasons.” Her worry drained away as she saw (Y/N) shoulders relax and a smile appear on her face. They still wouldn’t be seeing each other until winter break or summer, but at least she wouldn’t be leaving Hermione behind. They both had reasons for not being home.
“Can I send you letters?” (Y/N) asked, playing with Hermione’s hand that rested between them. She knew it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to have a muggle sending letters to a wizarding village, or castle, without knowing, but what she didn’t know couldn’t hurt her- right?
Hermione seemed to be going through the same possibilities in her head, but ever since she’d met (Y/N), her priorities had been a bit skewed.
“Yes, you can. I’ll write down the address,” Hermione got up and scribbled on a piece of paper, handing it to (Y/N). She put it between the pages of her book immediately without looking at it, knowing she wouldn’t remember a lick of it anyways. When she sends her first letter Hermione can just look at the address she wrote from to write back.
Hermione sat back down on the bed and the two girls shared a look of understanding. They wouldn’t see each other in person for a while but that doesn’t mean this friendship had to only be for the summer.
(Y/N) reached across the bed and wrapped her arms around Hermione’s neck, pulling her into a hug. Hermione returned the gesture, arms around (Y/N)’s waist as she tucked her head into her neck. She just knew (Y/N) and the boys would get along so well if they’d ever get the chance to meet.
“I’ll miss you,” (Y/N) whispered into Hermione’s hair.
“I’ll miss you more.”
“I doubt it.”
“Don’t fight me on this, you won’t win.”
Hermione pulled (Y/N) back and they both laid on the bed, laughing together.
A Week Later…
They’d said their official goodbyes the night before hugging and holding hands until it got late enough that Hermione knew she wouldn’t want to wake up the next morning. When they parted, (Y/N) had kissed her cheek, handing Hermione a book she’d bought her as a farewell gift.
Sitting in her parents car, Hermione read the synopsis on the back of the book, smiling and flipping through the pages.
There’s no doubt Harry and Ron would hear more about (Y/N) than they’d care to, but that’s just what comes with being friends, you hear about each other’s crushes whether you like it or not. Not that Hermione would ever admit to it being a crush. Or that she’d touched the place (Y/N) had kissed on her cheek every time she thought of her…
Arriving at platform nine and three quarters, Hermione bid her parents goodbye with a hug and ran straight into the brick pillar. Coming out on the other side, Hermione took in the air, already feeling the magic thrumming through it, as if she could taste it.
Taking her bags off of the cart she had pushed them in with, she left it near the entrance and searched for her friends, specifically for the family of redheads, knowing Harry would most likely be with the Weasley’s.
Eventually she found Ron and Harry with them, and they boarded the train. Now they walked down the aisle, searching for an empty compartment, Hermione leading. Suddenly, as she was looking through the windows of one of the doors, someone ran into her. She was pushed back into Ron, who helped her stand back on two feet.
“Oh, I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was going- ‘Mione?” the extremely familiar voice gasped in shock.
Looking up, Hermione met (Y/N)’s gaze. “(Y/N)?!” Hermione asked back with just as much surprise.
“I didn’t know you were a witch,” they both said at the same time, laughing with each other after.
“Well, this makes things much easier,” (Y/N) admitted, pulling Hermione into a hug after handing her the bag that she’d dropped back.
“You two know each other?” Harry asked, gaze darting down to (Y/N)’s green and silver tie.
“We met over the summer,” Hermione filled in, also taking in (Y/N)’s uniform (but not for the same reasons). “I had no idea you went to Hogwarts,” Hermione repeated, moving out of the way as a few people passed by.
“I didn’t know you went here either! There’s an empty compartment just up here.” (Y/N) led them just two doors up and opened it, letting them all enter and following after.
“So how did you two meet?” Harry asked, looking slyly between the two as they sat across from Ron and himself.
“At this muggle bookshop, we were both looking for something to read and started spending time together,” (Y/N) explained after putting Hermione’s bag above them next to her own.
They spent the rest of the time getting to know each other, Ron still holding a bit of distaste for her house, but pushing that aside as they talked about the Chudley Cannons together. Harry had liked her from the start, well- as soon as she said she disliked Malfoy about as much as the rest of them.
Once they arrived at Hogwarts they got off the train, knowing they’d have to separate soon. (Y/N)’s Slytherin friends waved in the distance, calling out her name.
“Well, I’d better go now. It was a pleasure meeting you two, and it was a welcomed surprise to see you, Hermione.” (Y/N) smiled and took Hermione’s hand, kissing the back of her knuckles. Hermione’s face heated at the action, Ron and Harry deciding they should just start walking to avoid making things awkward.
“Don’t be a stranger. Now that I know you go here I want to spend time with you,” Hermione admitted, not letting go of (Y/N)’s hand until she did it herself.
“I promise, I’ll see you as much as possible. And hey, now we recommend wizarding books to each other.” (Y/N) winked and hugged Hermione goodbye, walking away to see her friends.
Hermione bit her lip before turning to where Ron and Harry had waited for her. She jogged to catch up to them, and they started walking to the carriages.
“So, a Slytherin?” Harry teased and Hermione elbowed him in the side, Ron throwing his head back as he laughed.
This was going to be an interesting year.

--
Hope that was okay! Thanks again for requesting <3
Hermione rolled her eyes, not amused by the situation in the slightest. Harry and Draco were inches away from each other’s faces, which were both bright red. Ron was behind Harry, sizing up Draco’s goons and seemingly getting ready for a physical fight.
Seeing as this had already happened twice this week, Hermione was over it. Looking to the shop beside them, the one they were headed to in the first place, Hermione started walking towards the door. Harry and Ron didn’t even notice as she left, but she figured they’d find her when their anger wore off.
“Scrivenshaft’s Quill Shop” was written above the doorway, a bell ringing as she walked in.
“Welcome! Shout if you need anything,” a kind woman from behind the front desk announced, sorting through a new shipment of quills.
Hermione somewhat nodded in acknowledgment before walking over to a table display of new feather types. Uninterested in any of the quills in front of her she decided to stick with her usual quills. As she started to walk away, her eyes caught a display on the wall, distracting her.
She was startled when she ran into something- or rather, someone. A hand reached out to steady her, landing on her up arm as a gasp escaped her lips.
“Oh, I’m so sorry! I should’ve been looking where I’m going, I apologize. Are you alright?”
Her head snapped back up at the voice, and she decided she could have heard it for the rest of her life and still been happy. She had to blink a bit, realizing the person in front of her had asked her a question.
“I’m sorry… what?” Her hand had gone up to hold their arm as well, the two connected.
“Are you alright? You didn’t get hurt or anything, did you?” They repeated.
“Oh, yes. Don’t worry, I'm fine. I’m only glad I didn’t fall.” Hermione quickly nodded, taking the chance to look the person over. They were wearing a cloak, they clearly went to Hogwarts from the emblem on the breast. She blinked, yet again, in surprise as she noticed the red and gold lining of the black cloak. “You- are you in Gryffindor?”
The person, taken aback by the question, darted their gaze down to where Hermione had been looking.
“Oh, um, yes! We… We share some classes together as well. Actually we were paired up in Transfiguration at the beginning of this year.” They looked just as confused as Hermione felt, and their eyes flashed with hurt for a moment.
“I’m… sorry, I can’t say that I remember that.” She felt a bit ashamed. “But I think it’s time we’ve been formally introduced,” Hermione decided aloud, letting go of their arm as it dropped from her shoulder. She held out her hand as an offer for them to shake it. “I’m Hermione Granger, I’m in my sixth year. What’s your name?” She tried to smile, though she was quite embarrassed about not recognizing or knowing them.
Clearing their throat the person smiled as well, meeting her hand halfway. “(Y/N) (L/N), sixth year as well. It’s nice to officially meet you, Granger.”
“And you, (L/N).”
Their hands shook in the middle.
The Next Day…
Having gotten to Ancient Runes early, Hermione picked a seat towards the front of the room. She sat in the second row to the front, pulling out her books and then testing out her new quills. Pulling back from the paper after writing, she admired the smooth lettering, ink drying on the parchment.
Other students started filing into the room as she waited for class to start, not expecting someone to tap her on the shoulder. Looking up to meet the person’s eyes, her own widened with recognition.
“Oh, (L/N)! I didn’t know we had Ancient Runes together,” she commented, looking them over again. They looked wonderful today, a maroon sweater with the Hogwarts emblem on it was over their button up and tie. They looked comfortable. Hermione totally didn’t want to hug them to see if they were warm.
“In your defense, you didn’t really know I existed until a few days ago,” (Y/N) laughed in response. They motioned towards the empty seat next to her, “Is this seat taken?”
“No! Please, sit,” Hermione smiled eagerly, quickly adjusting her hair when they looked away. As they put their bag down and pulled out their books Hermione tried to get it together- she shouldn’t scare them off. Act normal, Hermione.
Unfortunately for her, she was so busy thinking about not messing up that she failed to hear the question (Y/N) had asked her.
“Yes! I mean… what?”
You already failed, Hermione.
With an amused laugh, (Y/N) repeated themself, “Why’d you decide to take Runes?”
“Oh! I’m not really sure. I want to take all the classes Hogwarts has, and Dumbledore allowed me to take a few extras. I thought Runes would be fun,” Hermione explained, putting her elbow on the desk and resting her chin in her hand.
“And is it? Fun, that is.”
Hermione looked to the side for a moment, considering the question. “I think so. It’s hard, and annoying a lot of the time, but it challenges me. It’s hard to find things that challenge me recently.”
(Y/N) smiled at her, nodding in understanding. Hermione misinterpreted the smile, thinking they thought she was being arrogant.
“I didn’t mean to brag! I just meant that-!” She was stopped by a hand on her arm.
“Don’t worry, Granger. I didn’t think that at all, I admire it if anything.”
“Really?”
“Yes. And it helps me get to know you better,” (Y/N) added.
“It does?” Hermione’s brows creased in confusion, finding herself unable to think straight when (Y/N) smiled at her like that.
“Mhm. Now I know you like to learn. What else do you like? Oh- better question- what do you not like?” (Y/N) smirked, copying Hermione’s previous pose of placing their chin in their palm.
“Well, I-”
“Please settle down! Class will begin in a moment,” Professor Babbling announced, gathering papers at the front of the room on her desk.
“I guess we’ll just have to meet up again later to talk about it,” (Y/N) concluded, shrugging and relaxing back into their chair.
“Okay,” Hermione whispered back, still in an odd haze. She smiled shyly when (Y/N) wasn’t looking at her, turning to the front of the room and playing with her quill.
Wait- did they just ask her out?
After Class…
(Y/N) stood up from their chair, gathering up their work and putting it in their bag. Hermione, who’d slightly forgotten their conversation during the long class period, started to do the same.
“So, I’ll see you at lunch?” (Y/N) asked expectantly from in front of Hermione, their face showing a gentle smile.
“What?” Hermione asked in confusion. She’d been asking them to repeat themself a lot, hadn’t she?
“To talk more. Unless you’d like to do it another time? Or not at all!” (Y/N) was quick to reassure, shaking their hands as if to take back their previous statement. They didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, or make her think she had to talk to them.
Hermione smiled, laughing a bit as she slung her bag over her shoulder.
“Lunch it is. Where should we meet?” Hermione asked, the two walking out of the classroom together.
“Head of the table?”
“Sounds like a plan,” Hermione confirmed, smiling and waving as they parted.
…
Over the next few weeks, Hermione and (Y/N) would get together at lunch to talk, that’s where they met Harry and Ron. Hermione was very glad they got along, it would’ve been a nightmare if they hadn’t. They’d meet up in the common room or the library to study together, usually Ancient Runes, but lately it’s just ended with them talking (and Hermione insisting that they need to focus).
Soon enough it was rare to see one without the other, and if they were apart they were asking where the other was. Harry and Ron weren’t disturbed by a new person in their group, and Hermione appreciated that it was more balanced now. Harry and Ron would always run off together- and it had never bothered her that they were closer than they were with her, she was just glad she had her partner now.
Well- not partner, I mean, she wished they were her partner. She means in a platonic way- of course. Obviously.
…
Break for the Christmas Holidays was coming up and the group was in the common room, hogging the fireplace. Harry and Ron were on the floor playing wizards chess, Hermione and (Y/N) on the couch. They were shoulder-to-shoulder, using each other for support while they read their respective books, sharing a blanket.
“So Harry, are you still coming over for Christmas?” Ron asked Harry expectantly, worried that Harry would try to stay at Hogwarts again.
“If Mrs. Weasley doesn’t mind. I still feel bad for intruding, no matter how often I’ve been over there,” Harry insisted, commanding one of his pieces to move.
“Mum always says you’re welcome, and you know she’ll get mad at me if you don’t come,” Ron responded, destroying one of Harry’s pieces.
“Alright, if you say so.”
“What about you, ‘Mione? (Y/N)?” Ron asked the two on the sofa, eyes not leaving the board on the floor.
“My parents are expecting me this year, but say hi to your mum for me. My parents and I will be sending a gift when I get home,” Hermione responded, flipping a page in her book.
“I’m staying here again this year,” (Y/N) responded, looking up slowly as they found all three Gryffindors staring at them. “What?”
“How many years have you spent Christmas at Hogwarts?” Harry asked, pushing his glasses up his nose.
“Uhm… six.”
“You’re in your sixth year, though,” Ron commented, tilting his head in confusion.
“Yup,” (Y/N) replied, popping the ‘p’.
“Would you like to come over to my house this Christmas? My parents would love to have you,” Hermione offered, putting her book down for a moment.
“They don’t even know me, and I wouldn’t want to intrude,” (Y/N) insisted, pretending to go back to their book.
“Oh, they know you alright,” Harry snickered, the boys going back to their chess. The two had swiped one of Hermione’s letters she’d been writing, teasing her about her crush, much to her dismay. She had written to her parents all about (Y/N).
“What do you mean-?”
“You wouldn’t be intruding, really!” Hermione interrupted, glaring at Harry before smiling at (Y/N). “What do you say?”
“Well… if I really wouldn’t be a bother…”
“You wouldn’t,” Hermione insisted.
(Y/N) slowly nodded, “Alright. Thank you, Hermione.” And they both settled back into their previous position, shoulders resting against each other.
At the Granger’s…
“I told you they’d love you!” Hermione laughed as the two entered her room, putting their bags on the ground.
“Your parents are wonderful, ‘Mione,” (Y/N) replied with their own laugh, looking around her room. “So, this is where you grew up?” They inspected a picture of her with some of her muggle friends.
“Yes, it is. Some of it’s embarrassing, really,” Hermione nervously chuckled as she quickly hid some of her stuffed animals.
“I think it’s sweet,” (Y/N) muttered in response, admiring a candid picture that her friend had taken of her while they were camping.
Hermione just shook her head, sitting on the bed.
Rolling her eyes, she laughed again, “Stop snooping! Come here.” She motioned for them to lay down with her. As they sat on the covers she flopped back, the mattress bouncing when (Y/N) joined her.
“Thank you, Hermione. This is the best Christmas I’ve ever had.”
“But Christmas is tomorrow,” Hermione replied with a curious tone, turning her head on the mattress to see their face. They returned the gesture, smiling at her.
“I know.”
Their pinky brushed the back of her hand, and Hermione slowly responded, linking their fingers together.
Snow fell outside, thick snowflakes sticking to the glass as the two Gryffindors shared a kiss. Only the first of many to come.
Can Hermione x fem!reader (or any you’re comfortable with) exist where the reader’s a slytherin but actively a good person-
like she’s a pureblooded snake but like, the cute ones with big eyes and that smile at you
like she’s a super competitive quidditch captain, and has slytherin friends, but she also shows the nervous ravenclaw first years around and has study groups with her hufflepuff friends and eats at the gryffindor table sometimes??
ok bye I just think it could be cute
Study Group
OH MY GOD YES- YES OH MY GOD YES

“Slytherin wins!” the announcer shouts over the sounds coming from the stands on the quidditch field. A mixture of "boo"'s and cheering were heard, a conflict seemingly starting out in the Gryffindor stands.
(Y/N), a chaser and Slytherins quidditch team captain, flew over to her seeker, holding up the arm that held the snitch and cheering with everyone. Patting the seeker’s shoulder, (Y/N) smiled and congratulated him.
The team flew back to the ground, heading to the showers before being intercepted by the crowd.
“You fly better than Angelina!” Fred shouted, his arm going over the captain’s shoulder.
“Don’t let her hear you saying that,” George warned, arm going around (Y/N)’s other shoulder.
The Weasleys were a family friend of the (L/N)’s so they'd grown up together like siblings. When they started at Hogwarts and (Y/N) was sorted into Slytherin instead of Gryffindor they were disappointed, but got over it pretty soon after. Well, it took Ron a bit longer, but he got there. To make up for it, (Y/N) would sit at the Gryffindor table at dinner sometimes.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes and ducked out of their hold, wiping the sweat from her brow.
“Thanks boys, we worked hard,” (Y/N) replied, patting George’s arm before going to walk away again.
She was startled when Ron was suddenly in her face, Harry and Hermione behind him.
“Bloody Hell, (Y/N)!” Ron shouted, grabbing her upper arms and shaking her around. “That catch, and the pass- and when you-!” He continued to stutter out incoherent praises.
“You did great out there,” Hermione congratulated for him as Harry tried to calm him down.
(Y/N) replied with a laugh, “Thanks Hermione. I’m really proud of my team, they really gave it their all. You should’ve seen how hard I’ve been working them, I’m surprised they don’t hate me.” She smiled jokingly at Hermione.
“No one could hate you,” Hermione responded seriously to the joke. (Y/N) seemed to soften at that, her exhaustion beginning to show.
“Thanks, ‘Mione.” She patted her shoulder.
(Y/N) would have hugged her but she didn’t want to get Hermione dirty.
“Mind helping me escape?” (Y/N) laughed, gesturing to the crowd surrounding them. Hermione laughed and nodded, grabbing (Y/N)’s hand and pulling her away.
When they got to the Quidditch showers, Hermione let go.
“Do you think we’re safe now?” (Y/N) whispered conspiratorially, a laugh lilting the end of her sentence. She tried to stop herself from reaching out for Hermione’s hand.
“I think we are,” Hermione laughed back. The Gryffindor herself was missing the warmth.
There’d always been tension between them. When they’d first met Hermione was intimidated by (Y/N), seeing as she was in the year above her, and also a Slytherin. Hermione never had much luck with Slytherins.
Not to mention she was gorgeous, and it’s terrifying talking to beautiful people. (Y/N) had always sensed Hermione’s discomfort and was always trying to make ‘Mione feel comfortable. They’d grown closer over these past 5 years, but the tension was different than before.
“Well, I’d better shower before dinner,” (Y/N) lazily pointed behind herself to the door.
“Want me to save you a spot at the Gryffindor table? You know Wood will want to talk to you about Ravenclaw’s defeat.” Hermione really wanted her to say yes. They hardly spent enough time together as it is, and even if she doesn’t have a chance with (Y/N) she still enjoys her company.
“For sure, Granger. Make sure it’s next to you, yeah?” (Y/N) winked with a mischievous smirk. (Y/N) would often playfully flirt with Hermione to see her reaction, heat spreading up her neck and around her face.
And that’s exactly the reaction she got, Hermione’s gaze shy as she looked to her feet. She nodded and bit her lip, watching (Y/N) walk through the doorway.
At Dinner…
All of the Gryffindor’s were shouting over each other, the twins practically on the table as they argued with Oliver, their own captain. They’d already talked about the game, Wood practically interrogating the game plans they used from (Y/N). Now he was red in the face, scoffing at the twins.
(Y/N) and Hermione were on the sidelines, having a conversation about her study group. Ron and Harry would pop in every once in a while, but were also having a conversation about what Draco was up to this week.
“Lila, she’s from Hufflepuff- a third year- was having some trouble with Care of Magical Creatures. Something about nifflers? I don’t know, that girl is so quiet I have to have Becca translate for me.” (Y/N) shook her head sympathetically.
“Poor thing,” Hermione agreed, putting down her cup after having a sip. “Maybe I could come to the next one? It could be nice to have another person to help.”
“Sure, we’re meeting tomorrow in the library after lunch. Have you got a free period then?” (Y/N) asked, taking a bite of the food in front of her. Hermione hummed in confirmation, not trusting her voice.
She was so excited. Maybe she could start going to all of their study groups! She smiled to herself as she continued eating.
The Next Day…
Lunch was ending and Hermione stood up excitedly, practically buzzing.
“Someone’s excited,” Harry teased in a sing-song voice.
“It’s because she’s off to see her girlfriend~!” Fred and George replied.
“Oh, ‘Mione’s got a girlfriend now? Looks like I’ve got competition,” (Y/N) announced her presence, smiling at Hermione. She blushed at the quip and smiled back.
“Ignore them, they’re idiots.” Hermione shot the boys a glare.
“Trust me, I know. Shall we?” (Y/N) held up her arm, beckoning Hermione to wrap her arm around hers. Once she did they were off, leaving the boys behind.
When they got out into the corridor (Y/N) didn’t pull away like Hermione expected. They made small talk, (Y/N) waving to her friends when they passed. Hermione slowly trailed off her sentence when (Y/N) stopped walking.
“What’s wrong?” Hermione asked, looking around herself to assure they weren’t at their destination yet.
“Look.” (Y/N) pointed at a Ravenclaw, seemingly a first year. He was crying, sitting against the wall and shielding his face as his body shook. (Y/N) unhooked her arm from Hermione's and walked up to him, crouching down to his level.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” (Y/N) asked gently, but still frightened the first year. He flinched, uncovering his face to look at (Y/N). He seemed confused after he saw the color of her robes. Why would a Slytherin be nice to him?
He sniffled, “My classroom changed places and I can’t find it. I just got its new location memorized and then it moves! I’m gonna be late for Transfiguration and lose house points again.” He groaned in frustration, hands covering his face. (Y/N) gently took his hands and held them, giving him a comforting smile.
“Professor McGonagall can be very forgiving, as long as you tell her what happened. I’m (Y/N) (L/N), what's your name?”
“Conner,” he muttered through his tears. “Conner Wimble.”
“Well, Conner, I’ll walk you to Transfiguration. And teach you some tricks to find your classes. Is that okay?”
“Yes… thank you.”
Hermione shook herself from her thoughts, seeing (Y/N) being so kind to the first year did nothing to stifle her feelings. She rushed forward to join the conversation, crouching down as well.
“I know a spell that makes a string appear in the air that guides you to your classes. I could teach it to you,” she spoke gently to the Ravenclaw, bringing him to stand.
“Please, I need all the help I can get,” he sniffled out.
“Come on, let’s stand up now.” (Y/N), who still held his hands, pulled him to stand.
At the Library…
(Y/N) held open the door for Hermione, entering after her. She waved to Madam Pince before gently cupping Hermione’s elbow, guiding her to the study group.
“Look who decided to show up,” Becca giggled, a yellow ribbon holding her dark brown hair back.
“Yeah, sorry guys- got a bit distracted.” Her hand found the small of Hermione’s back. “This is Hermione-!” (Y/N) whispered before she was cut off.
“Everybody knows who she is. Harry Potter’s friend, right?” Suzie, a fourth year Ravenclaw, asked rhetorically. Her tone was a bit harsh, distaste following Harry’s name.
“Yes, but she has a name. Hermione will be joining us today, if that’s alright with everyone?” (Y/N) eyed Suzie with a warning gaze. After she got head nods from around the table she pulled out Hermione’s chair for her. Hermione blushed and gave (Y/N) a shy smile in thanks, earning a nod in return.
“So, how is everybody? Lila, how was Care of Magical Creatures today?” (Y/N) paid specific attention to the Hufflepuff as she pulled out her books. Lila murmured something nobody could hear, except for her best friend who sat right next to her.
“She said the niffler problem’s still got her stumped,” Becca repeated, going back to doodling on the corner of her parchment with her quill.
“We would have heard her if she would only speak up,” Suzie sassed as she rolled her eyes, playing with the end of her blond ponytail.
“Suzie!” (Y/N) scolded, looking concerned more than angry. “Please apologize.” She adopted a motherly look, eyebrows raised expectantly.
Suzie looked slightly ashamed, gaze lowering as she uncrossed her arms. She played with the edge of her blue sweater, the silver eagle on the sleeve catching the light. “Sorry Lila, that was mean.”
“It’s okay. You have a point,” Lila spoke a bit louder this time, giving Suzie a small smile.
“What’s going on?” (Y/N) gently asked Suzie, running a hand up and down her arm. Hermione watched with a bit of envy, but shook herself out of it when she realized her thoughts.
Suzie’s lip started trembling, her eyes blinking quickly to rid herself of the gathering tears. “David and I got into a fight. He’s been using one of the secrets I trusted him with against me in our arguments. It’s been going on all day.” She sniffled, sliding a bit of her sweater over her hand to wipe at her nose.
Lila, who was closest to her, put her hand on Suzie’s shoulder, rubbing it gently. Everyone sympathized and started helping her come up with solutions, and afterwards the studying quickly commenced.
One Hour Later…
Becca giggled at a joke (Y/N) whispered to her as they left the library, Lila smiling a bit. Hermione and Suzie were finishing a conversation while actively shoving books into their bags, trying to avoid the door swinging into them. Hermione almost got hit but (Y/N)’s hand stopped it, both of them looking surprised.
“Watch out there love, almost got hit.”
Hermione blushed at the pet name.
Suzie looked between the two of them for a second, sitting in their tension-filled silence.
Clearing her throat loudly, Suzie caught the girls’ attention, “I’m going to go talk to David now, I’ll see you two later?” Without waiting for an answer she walked off, waving behind her. She shouted goodbye to the two Hufflepuff’s and was gone.
“We’d best be off too. (Y/N), would you be a dear and ask Fred and George for more sugar quills? Lila and I have been craving them,” Becca laughed, joining hands with Lila.
“For sure! I’ll let you know what they say. Same time next week?” They nodded. “Make sure Suzie knows that too, please.” And they were off.
Hermione and (Y/N) looked at each other, still standing in front of the library. Taking in a breath, (Y/N) broke the silence.
“Would you like to come again next week? Suzie seemed to like having you around,” (Y/N) laughed a bit, smiling at the Gryffindor in front of her.
“Yes, I’m sure it was just Suzie,” Hermione giggled and nodded, not able to look away from (Y/N). Said Slytherin scoffed in surprise at the comment, her face heating up as she laughed in amusement.
“I’m glad we’re in agreement on that then.”
They smiled at each other for a bit longer, not wanting to part.
“Well, I think this makes you an official part of our group. What do you say?” (Y/N) stuck out her hand. “Want to join our study group?”
Hermione met her half way, shaking her hand.
“Well, we wouldn’t want to disappoint Suzie, now would we?”

Holding hands was always so calming to Ron. He was very touchy, not only with (Y/N). It wasn't anything weird, it's just that his love language is physical touch, so he'd hug his friends without shame, and after finding out his boyfriend was 100% okay with PDA, he went for it. Any moment he could, he'd be touching (Y/N): hands on his shoulders or around his waist, lips brushing his neck, and he really loved when (Y/N) would sit on his lap.
For the snuggles aspect, of course.
Not for any other reason.
But after feeling particularly ignored by his family, not that they did it on purpose- but it happens- he seeks comfort through the touch of his boyfriend.
Laying on his bed in the Ravenclaw dorms, to avoid Harry's teasing, the boys held each other.
Ron's head was on (Y/N)'s chest as he laid on top of him, legs intertwined. (Y/N) had his arms around Ron, one hand coming up to comb through his hair. The motion further relaxed the hot headed Gryffindor, nearly luring him to sleep.
Ron reached up and took the hand from his hair, pressing a kiss to it instead. A blush spread across (Y/N)'s face as Ron placed the hand to his cheek, nuzzling it fondly.
"Ron?" (Y/N) hesitantly whispered into the calm air.
"Yes, honey?" Ron replied, his voice muffled with sleep.
"I love you."
Ron gasped awake, putting his hands on the mattress under (Y/N). He pushed himself up until he was eye-level with his boyfriend.
"You love me?" Ron repeated with an incredulous look.
"Yes. I'm in love with you. I love you." (Y/N) cupped his cheeks, tracing his freckles. The Gryffindor merely started in shock, fists clutching the blue blanket beneath them.
He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Insecurity and self-doubt overtook him and he scrambled off his Ravenclaw partner, sitting a the edge of the bed.
(Y/N) took this as rejected, sitting up and staring at his boyfriend's side profile. HIs brows were creased and his lip was trembling.
"I'm sorry, I thought I'd waited long enough- is it too soon for 'I love you's'?" (Y/N) asked, voice filled with anxiety. Placing his hand on Ron's shoulder, he flinched back as Ron pushed it off just as quickly as it had taken its place. He stood up, a stomp in his step as he turned to face (Y/N).
Red in the face, his breath picked up, but (Y/N) could see the tears gathering in his eyes.
"Why?" Ron asked harshly, fists clenched at his sides.
"'Why' what?" (Y/N) repeated gently, more worried for Ron than anything.
"Why me?"
(Y/N) couldn't formulate a response, eyebrows meeting in confusion.
"I'm fucking worthless, (Y/N)! You're a Granger- and a Ravenclaw- top of your class. I'm such an idiot I barely get past 'Poor' in my marks! Not only that but you're so handsome it hurts- but look at me! You deserve better than-"
Suddenly his face was in (Y/N)'s hands, both of them crying. Ron hadn't noticed the tears until now, the wet drops being wiped away by the pads of (Y/N)'s fingers.
"Stop it, Ron. You are not worthless-" Ron opened his mouth but (Y/N) shushed him- "You need to listen to what I'm about to say. You are the most beautiful man I've every met. And you are so smart-"
"I'm not as smart as Percy-"
"Fuck Percy! Listen, I love your family, but you must stop comparing yourself to your brothers and me, no matter how often your mother does. Just because you don't get the same marks as Percy or me doesn't mean you're dumber than us. I know nothing about quidditch!"
"Yes, you do."
"All I know I learned from you. Wizarding currency? You taught me about that too. And I'm sure you could beat Percy in any trivia about historic wizards." (Y/N) laughed and Ron matched his watery chuckle.
"You are just enough for me, Ron. More than enough, more than I could ask for. I love you, and you are more than deserving of my love."
Ron smiled, still crying, before pulling (Y/N) into a hug. His head tucked into (Y/N)'s neck and he breathed in his comforting scent.
"It's okay that you aren't ready to say it back, I just wanted you to know how I feel." (Y/N) let his hand run up and down his back, his other hand slipping into Ron's hair.

Jasper Hale x Trans!Male!Reader

God no, not today. Any day but today- (Y/N) could not be feeling like this on his one year anniversary with Jasper.
He knew Jasper wouldn't mind, he'd take good care of him until he was feeling better, or keep him company while he was feeling down. (Y/N) did the same for him if he was having a bad day or was feeling particularly insecure or guilty due to his past.
But Jasper had planned the most adorable picnic and (Y/N) knew he'd been spending a lot of time on his gift, but he wouldn't give away what it was. (Y/N) had made Jasper a quilt out of random materials, some bought from the fabric store and others being T-Shirts of their shared favorite band, or other things that meant a lot to them.
Everything had to be perfect, but as he brushed his teeth (Y/N) caught his reflection and knew it wasn't going to be.
Splashing his face with water, (Y/N) tried not to get visibly upset. Jasper could always tell how he was feeling, due to his powers, but also just from the way he looked. He tried to not be invasive with his powers, so he'd gotten good at being visually observant.
Taking in deep breaths, face dripping from the water, (Y/N) caught his reflection again.
And then he was crying.
Jasper was meant to be here any minute, and the second he got out of his car he would be able to hear the muffled sobs coming from the second floor bathroom- hell, maybe even sooner than that.
Not even a full minute had (Y/N) been crying before he heard gentle knocks on the bathroom door.
"(Y/N)? I let myself in, are you okay?" Jasper asked worriedly through the door. (Y/N) had given him a key to his house a couple of months ago- not that he needed one to get in, but as a symbol of his trust.
Sniffling and wiping under his eye, (Y/N) nodded, even if Jasper couldn't see him.
"Yeah, I'm fine." But his voice came out warbled, still thick with tears.
"Not to tell you how you feel, but you don't sound fine. Can I come in, so we can talk?"
(Y/N)'s breathing picked up again and he let out a quiet "yes"- so quiet that it wouldn't have been audible if not for Jasper's enhanced hearing.
Jasper crouched down in front of (Y/N)'s shaking form, hands coming to hold his upper arms gently.
"Hey, what's goin' on darlin'?" his accent came out thicker then it usually was, comforting (Y/N), who loved his accent.
"I fucked it up," (Y/N) cried to him, leaning forward to get closer to him. Jasper shifted to the wall next to (Y/N) and hugged him, running a soothing yet cold hand up and down his back.
"What did ya' fuck up?" he asked gently, rocking slowly to sooth the man next to him.
"Our anniversary. It was supposed to be perfect, but I-" he hiccupped- "I'm not feeling good about myself, and I-"
Jasper hummed comfortingly, still gently rocking from side to side.
"Honey, our anniversary isn't ruined, and definitely not by your doin'."
"But you planned all this stuff and our gifts-" (Y/N) stumbled out again, looking into Jasper's eyes with tears in his own.
"And all of that's grand, but any day with you is a perfect day, sweetheart. If our anniversary is spent right here on your bathroom floor while we work through how you're feeling, that's a perfect day in my eyes.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like seein' you upset." He wiped the tears from under (Y/N)'s eyes, that had slowly stopped flowing. "But if I get to hear you talk for hours I would never get tired of it." He cupped (Y/N)'s face.
(Y/N) let out a watery chuckle, his hands coming up to hold Jasper's wrists. "Are you sure? I was so excited for the picnic, but now I don't feel like leaving the house..."
"We have a lifetime to have a picnic, no use in forcing you to be uncomfortable when we could snuggle up in your bed and watch Star Wars?
As for the gifts, we don't have to be on a picnic to give them."
Jasper gently pulled (Y/N) up to stand, holding his hand as he led (Y/N) to his bed. A wrapped box sat on the blanket, seemingly tossed there in the panic to reassure his boyfriend.
"Open it." Jasper nodded to the package with his head.
Wiping some stray tears, (Y/N) sniffled and sat on the edge of the bed, unwrapping the box. Inside was a scrapbook.
(Y/N)'s eyes widened as he looked up at Jasper, who took a seat next to him on the bed.
"Is this what I think it is?" (Y/N) whispered with teary eyes, pulling out the book and opening it to the first page.
"If you think it's a scrapbook then yes," Jasper teased, putting his chin on (Y/N)'s shoulder as they went through it together.
Each page was covered in pictures of the two. Kissing, holding hands, their first date. They laughed at the memories and goofy pictures of them with their friends and family.
It was perfect.
When they reached the end there was a small handwritten note from Jasper.
"One year down, and hopefully many more to go,
Love you my sweet boy,
Jas."
(Y/N) laughed bashfully and turned his head to meet Jasper's lips with a kiss. Jasper's hand came to hold the back of (Y/N)'s head while (Y/N)'s hand cupped his jaw.
As they parted, they smiled at each other.
"This is amazing, Jas. Thank you so much," (Y/N) thanked his boyfriend genuinely.
"Anything for you, darlin'."
"Oh, I've got my gift too!" (Y/N) jumped up, placing his new favorite book in its spot on his bookshelf. Turning to his desk he reached under it and pulled out the folded quilt, a bow wrapped around it.
"You didn't," Jasper mumbled in amazement as he stood up and reached for the blanket. Taking off the bow and unfolding it, he laid it out on the bed and looked at each little detail.
"Do you like it?" (Y/N) asked hesitantly, second guessing everything.
"Do I like it?" Jasper repeated incredulously. "I love it!" He turned and swept (Y/N) into a hug, arms around his shoulders. (Y/N) laughed with relief and wrapped his arms around his waist.
They spent the rest of the day wrapped in Jasper's new quilt, having a Star Wars marathon.
doesn’t gotta be the granger could be but I just have a ron problem ok 🧍♂️
The Human Howler (a snippet)
We have a Ron problem together 🧍♂️+🧍♂️
I'm gonna make this a snippet in the granger!reader series, because bro's so sweet with him but I wanna see him be feral
Roger Davies is a Ravenclaw I've repeatedly heard mentioned as a little shit- so I'm just gonna use him as the asshole here :)
OH- and I included a nickname that Hermione has for reader that I came up with during Harry's oneshot-
Warnings: Harassment :) Unwanted flirting and touching :) Everything's fine :)
---
Dinner was underfoot and the trio sat at the Gryffindor table, Harry and Hermione in a conversation together. The two, realizing that Ron had stopped eating, looked at him. His murderous gazed was set on the table across the hall; Ravenclaw.
Following his gaze they saw what was happening. (Y/N) was trying to eat his dinner in peace, not even sparing a glance at his fellow Ravenclaw, who was acting out of line. He kept trying to put his hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder, but he kept brushing it off. He kept flirting and saying off-putting and inappropriate things, all of which (Y/N) hadn't wanted or asked for in the slightest.
Nonetheless, he persevered and kept ignoring him.
"Is that Roger Davies?" Hermione asked Ron, her protective side kicking in. "Has he bothered (Y/N) like this before?"
"Apparently he's been hinting and bothering (Y/N) this week, but I don't think it's ever been this bad," Ron ground out through his clenched teeth, his grip on his fork white-knuckled. "I'm trying not to do anything because he asked me not to, but how can I just sit here-?"
Ron was cut off when (Y/N) abruptly jolted away from Davies with a shocked look. It looked as though the blood had drained from his face and his eyes were wide as saucers. He started speaking, his voice raised as if he was berating Davies.
That was Ron's last straw.
He stood up quickly, walking over to where they were sitting. Hermione wanted to follow- but she also wanted to see what Ron was going to do (she had her own plans for Davies).
When he got there Ron put a gentle hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder as to not startle him, and then he let loose. You could hear him from the Gryffindor table.
"Listen, Davies- I've tried to sit back because (Y/N) assured me he could handle it- and he has been. But you have been giving him unwanted advances all week, and news flash! He's taken. Stop touching him, stop flirting with him, he's clearly uncomfortable! Just because you're a miserable little twat doesn't mean you get to make everybody around you just as miserable!
Keep your hands to yourself, Davies, or you don't want to know what will happen."
Ron was red in the face when he finished, his breathing heavy. His hand was now in (Y/N)'s, and (Y/N) looked up at him astonished.
Davies looked at the professors at the head of the hall, who did nothing, and then shrunk away. The people sitting next to him shifted down the bench to make space and Davies stood up, running out of the hall with a face as dark as Ron's.
Ron then held (Y/N)'s hand back to the Gryffindor table, helping him get another plate of food (seeing as they had abandoned his last).
"Are you okay, Peanut?" Hermione asked with a worried look, holding her brother's hand for a moment.
"Yes. More relieved than anything," (Y/N) sighed out, heart still racing.
"Don't worry. We've got something planned for Davies." Harry smirked mischievously and looked at Hermione, who matched his look.
"You won't have to worry about Roger Davies when we're done with him, that's for sure," Hermione reassured.
As they went back to the food, Ron took hold of (Y/N)'s hand.
"I'm sorry. I know you told me you could handle it- but seeing it happen-"
"Thank you, Ron. It hadn't been that bad yet. I thought I could handle it, but thank you for stepping in. It was quite the look on you." He smiled and winked, making Ron's face go red for a different reason.
Hellooooooo could I request a stranger things where it’s Robin x Male Reader, but platonically, where they bond over ice cream, being gay (or whatever for the reader), and the trauma of existing in the hell that is Hawkins?? I just stan robin
"Let Me Finish My Cone!"
This request slays and I'm excited to write it! Honestly I wish I got more platonic requests- I don't mind the romantic ones (I really like writing them) but some balance would be nice, yk?
Also- I keep misspelling Robin as Robing for some reason- so sorry if I accidentally missed a typo and that's in there 😭
We all stan Robin (Maya Hawke <333)
Headcanon of mine: Robin bites her ice cream. At first she did it to freak Steve out but now she can't eat ice cream any other way.

Robin Buckley with Male!Reader
---
Sitting on a bench at the mall, two teenagers held melting ice cream cones in their hands. Robin sat criss-cross with her legs under her, and (Y/N) with his ankle resting on his other knee.
Robin was on break from work, still in her uniform minus the hat, which she'd forced (Y/N) to wear. It sat crooked on his head, almost falling off.
"There's no one to date here," (Y/N) sighed out as a hot guy walked past them. He licked his ice cream with a grumpy look on his face.
"If anyone knows how it is, I do," Robin snorted, biting her ice cream.
"Like- none of the guys look at me, and if they do it's only in a friend way. I don't know any other gay guys in Hawkins!" (Y/N) whisper-shouted to his best friend.
She side-eyed him, "What about Steve? He's bi, you know."
"Someone who's out, I mean. Not that I have anything against Steve or the fact that he isn't publicly out- it's just that I wanna be able to be seen with my boyfriend! And romantically, too. I don't want my relationship to be a secret."
"In this town it kind of has to be," Robin sighed out this time, thinking of her own experiences with it. "And if you don't treat it like a secret, other people will."
"This town is so fucked up. I would be in a rush to get out of here except for the fact that everywhere else would be just as bad."
"What about Los Angeles?" Robin looked over to her friend, taking another bite of her ice cream, almost down to the cone part.
"LA? I dunno, man... maybe. Wanna come with me and find out?" He smirked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Once I get enough money to leave this place, hell yeah!"
"You and me both." (Y/N) still wore his uniform from the arcade upstairs in the mall. He was sick of the snotty kids there and seconds away from quitting his job.
"How is Steve doing with that, by the way?"
"Ahh, fine. He's been getting more confident- saw him flirting with some guy at the counter earlier."
"Yeah? And how'd that go?"
"Horribly, but at least he's getting out there!" Robin tried to be positive as (Y/N) laughed.
"I remember when I started flirting with guys. But then again I never was very good at flirting."
"No you are not- I remember when you tried to flirt with me," Robin remembered, smiling with amusement. (Y/N)'s face turned red from embarrassment as he, too, remembered.
"Must we bring it up?" He hid his face in his free hand.
"You were trying so hard to be straight!"
"And failing horribly," (Y/N) finished for her, the two sharing a laugh. "Oh- there's the man of the hour!"
Steve was waving at Robin to come back. Seems her break was over.
"Robin!" He shouted, his face going red as (Y/N) winked at him.
"Let me finish my cone, asshole!" Robin shouted back. Steve flipped her the bird and she stuck her tongue out at him, making him roll his eyes. Both ignored the looks they got from the interaction.
"You sure you don't like him?" Robin teased as she leaned back again.
"I'm not sure about anything. I just don't think he's willing to commit, you know?" (Y/N) speculated, lazily licking his cone.
"Well, you can't be sure until you try!" Robin popped the end of the cone into her mouth and swiped her hat from (Y/N)'s head, patting it as she walked away.
(Y/N) groaned as his watch went off, signaling the end of his own break.
Oh yeah one more (again, a problem is showing 💀) remember when I asked abt songfics? While not rlly a songfic, could I get one where it’s (tom holland’s) Peter Parker x Male Reader inspired by Jet Lag by Simple Plan and Natasha Bedingfielf (stan Nat Bedingfield) where Peter is abroad on a long mission and y/n is just stuck at home rebuilding the death star with Ned, but they really miss each other a buttload
Time Difference
Shuuuttt upppp- I'd never heard of this song before but I listened to it and have so many ideas for this fic- I'm in love.
I haven't done many songfics so I hope I didn't format this weird or anything-
I'm considering this as like a part 2 of Roses- established relationship and all that.
I skip a view verses just because they don't work with the story- but the bulk of the song is included!
BOLD is (Y/N)'s texts and normal are Peter's.

Peter Parker x Male!Reader
---
Hugging each other tightly, Peter kissed (Y/N) as they said goodbye. Peter was about to go on a mission abroad, but as far as (Y/N) knew it was just a trip for his internship to meet some amazing scientists and engineers in Europe.
He'd be gone for three weeks- which was far too long for teenagers in a relationship. But off he flew, and (Y/N) went back home, waiting for the text that he had landed.
What time is it where you are?
I miss you more than anything
Peter hung upside-down from the hotel ceiling, something he often did when feeling anxious. Other than a dim lamp in the corner, his phone was the only light in the room, shining a blue light over his face.
He smiled a bit at one of (Y/N)'s texts, before sending one back. They would usually be on FaceTime but this was their way of acting like they were going to bed even though they weren't.
"What time is it for you?"
"early"
Peter rolled his eyes with a smile.
"You need to get ready for school."
"and you need to be getting some sleep!"
He could imagine the exact look (Y/N) was making with his face, sad that he couldn't be there to see it in person.
Instead of hitting the FaceTime button like he wanted so badly to do, he just said what he was feeling.
"I miss you"
"i miss you more 🫶"
I'm back at home, you feel so far
Waiting for the phone to ring
(Y/N) was over at Ned's house, supposedly studying. In reality all he was doing was nervously glancing at his phone every few seconds.
"Why can't you call him, again?" Ned asked for the hundredth time, sick of his friend not paying attention.
"Because he might be at some important meeting! Or he might be asleep, I don't know- this time difference is screwing me up." (Y/N) bit his nail as he tried to focus on his work again.
He felt bad for treating Ned like this, but he didn't always do this. He just hadn't gotten the call that he usually got around lunch time so now he was anxious.
Picking up his phone he sent Peter a quick text message.
"i'll call you before i go to bed- stay safe and keep having fun!"
Biting his lip he shook his head after it sent, putting his phone down and looking at his notebook. It felt like Peter was a whole planet away, not just an ocean.
When Peter finally saw the text message he wanted to kick himself.
"Kid, come on, we've got to get you some first aid," Tony insisted, trying to get Peter to follow him. They'd just finished fighting and they were both roughed up.
Tony knew the second he got his hands on his phone, Peter wouldn't be available anymore (and would likely ignore his injuries to make sure his boyfriend was okay first).
"I'm so sorry (Y/N), we can definitely call tonight- emergency meeting happened before I was able to call :("
The reply was instant.
"dw babe, i can wait <3 it may come as a surprise to you but i can be very patient"
It's getting lonely living upside down
I don't even wanna be in this town
Tryna figure out the timezone's making me crazy
When Peter wasn't nervously hanging upside down like a bat on his ceiling, he was adventuring the cities he went to with his fellow Avengers (well- eventually fellow Avengers he hoped).
But everywhere he went he was reminded of (Y/N), things to buy him or pictures to send him- all he wanted to do was be with (Y/N).
Cuddling, watching a movie- and he missed his friends too. As he fell asleep one night he thought about a movie night with (Y/N), Ned, and MJ- or sitting at lunch with them.
Not to mention the time difference was throwing both boyfriend's out of wack-
You say goodmorning when it's midnight
Going out of my head, alone in this bed
Peter lay in his bed, wide awake despite the late hour. He didn't often sleep with (Y/N), no matter how many times he wanted to web over to his house after patrol. (Y/N) didn't know about Spider-Man yet, and Peter didn't know when he'd tell him.
But they'd often fall asleep together during hang outs. They'd stay up all night texting/calling and then snuggle together in person- and it'd been two weeks without that.
Peter was feeling alone in the big empty hotel bed.
Suddenly his phone went off and he picked it up.
"morning babe! got coffee and thought of you <3" (Y/N) sent with an attached picture of him at the coffee shop they would frequent together.
Peter sent back a picture of him (it was obvious he had to use the flash of his phone because of the dark of the room) holding a thumbs up with a tired smile.
"Can't wait to go there together when I get back!"
I wake up to your sunset
It's driving me mad, I miss you so bad
The couple always sent pictures of the sky to each other, even when Peter was in Queens with (Y/N).
(Y/N) had become lonely, even with his near constant contact with Peter. He missed holding him, his hand. Kissing him.
So he went up to the roof of his apartment building, where he and Peter would relax together often.
He didn't want to cry- it's not like Peter was off at war. He was safe with Mr. Stark and his security team, having fun. He should feel happy for Peter, but he felt like Peter hadn't told him the whole truth about the trip.
Regardless, he took a picture of the sunset he'd been watching and sent it to Peter with a text;
"wanted to share my sunset with you. i can't wait for you to come home"
He wanted to add an "I love you" but decided against it. They hadn't said it yet and that'd be a pretty shitty way to start saying it.
Maybe when he gets back (Y/N) will tell him.
The first thing Peter did when he opened his eyes was reach for his phone- as he had the entire trip. That was the text he woke up to- sent only ten minutes ago.
Standing up from his bed he opened the windows, looking out at the city they were in. The sun was still rising, so he took a picture of it and sent it back.
"My sunrise to your sunset. Poetic, if you ask me"
And my heart-heart-heart is so jet lagged
Heart-heart-heart is so jet lagged
Heart-heart-heart is so jet lagged
Is so jet lagged
What time is it where you are?
Five more days and I'll be home
"Only five more days!" (Y/N) announced as he opened the door to his room, going straight to his calendar to mark it off.
Ned and MJ, who had followed behind him, dropped their backpacks and found a place to study.
"Then you'll finally be tolerable again," MJ muttered, clicking her pen as she waited for (Y/N) to sit down with them.
"Oh no, they'll be worse together. I say at least a week of constant PDA and love-sick phrases," Ned corrected, nodding assuredly.
(Y/N) basically jumped out of his skin as his phone went off, quickly pulling it out of his pocket.
"Five more days <3"
Smiling brightly, (Y/N) texted back.
"five more days!"
MJ groaned as she thought about Ned's response and kicked (Y/N) in the shin.
"Ow!"
"Get your ass out of the clouds and help me with my calc homework," MJ ordered with a glare.
Rolling his eyes (Y/N) joined them on the floor, pulling out his stuff.
"You can't tell me you're not excited for Peter to be back," (Y/N) said towards Ned, glancing up at him.
"I am- or I will be, once he's back for at least a week. I'm counting it as four weeks because he'll only get out of the clouds, as MJ said, after a week of you."
"It won't be like that guys, I promise. We can be in a relationship and still be present with our friends!" (Y/N) protested, opening MJ's calculus book.
Ned and MJ shared a look, doubtful. (Y/N) saw and became even more determined to not hoard Peter all to himself when he got back.
I been keeping busy all the time
Just to try to keep you off my mind
The next few days were unbearable for (Y/N)- well, for Peter too, but those last days were packed with fighting so he was distracted.
Desperately trying to find things to keep his mind off Peter, he decided to rebuild the Lego death star with Ned (who just wanted to make sure his friend was okay).
It worked for a while, and when they finished it was late- but he still had two days to wait for Peter to come home.
Ned went back to his house with a joyful goodbye- over the last couple of weeks the one-on-one time he had with (Y/N) was usually filled with talking about Peter, but he got a few gems like tonight out of it.
Reading books, painting with MJ, doing puzzles with Aunt May- none of it helped (Y/N) much.
So agony was what was left for the next few days.
I miss you so bad (I miss you so bad)
I miss you so bad (I miss you so bad)
I miss you so bad (I wanna share your horizon)
I miss you so bad (And see the same sun rising)
I miss you so bad (And turn the hour back to when you were holding me)
(Y/N) stood with Aunt May and his friends in May's apartment, rocking on the balls of his feet anxiously. Peter had taken Mr. Stark's private jet and he said that Happy would be driving him to the apartment.
A little welcoming party was set up; cake, his favorite dinner, his favorite movie ready to be booted up. Now all that was left was Peter.
The door swung open and once (Y/N) saw his face, he held himself back from launching into his arms.
Aunt May greeted him first, inspecting his face (which was covered in cuts and bruises). (Y/N) was taken aback- what happened in Europe?
When the shock wore off and May was finished greeting him, Peter pulled (Y/N) into a hug as he got close enough.
They rocked back and forth, Peter smiling from ear to ear and (Y/N) frowning with concern.
"Are you okay? What happened?" (Y/N) whispered into his ear, running a hand through the back of his hair.
"I'll explain everything later, I promise."
(Y/N) was okay with that- as long as he got an explanation later. He let the worry go for a second to pull back and give Peter a peck on the lips. He was gonna tell him-
"I missed you."
He chickened out.
"I missed you too," Peter whispered back.
"Promise we'll talk later?"
"Promise."
Hardly separating the whole night, the boys ate dinner with their small family- and enjoyed themselves the whole time.
The heavier topics could be saved for later, because now was the time to be happy that they were together again.
Could I ask for an Edward Cullen x male reader where the reader is Bella’s best friend (who moved right after her)- He ends up becoming infatuated with him instead, and they just have a happy time??
This is Different...
Twilight timmmmeee- time to reach into the archives of my memories and pull random facts from my ass.
Thank you for the request! I hope you enjoy <3

Edward Cullen x Male!Reader
---
Bella had to kept telling herself to wait just one more week, because then (Y/N) would be there and she could vent to him about how weird this town was.
The two had grown up together in Arizona and were practically inseparable. Their parents did that thing where they were convinced Bella and (Y/N) were going to date and get married and all of that, which just isn't happening. But it made his dad easier to convince when they asked if (Y/N) could move to Forks, Washington with Bella.
(Y/N)'s parents had just gotten a divorce and his dad was moving anyways, and he was old enough that he just wanted to stay with his dad (and little sister that would come to visit every once in a while) until he was an adult.
So after Bella left to Forks, (Y/N) and his dad started packing their bags and started their trip.
Bella could not wait to tell him about the school, the weird but oddly charming students, and the standoffish Cullen family.
Finally the week came to an end and Charlie drove Bella to pick them up from the airport.
(Y/N)'s father, James, had planned to buy a car once they got to the new house, but Charlie had so kindly offered to drive them until he did get one.
At the airport Bella ran up to (Y/N) and he caught her in a hug, laughing at her eagerness.
"Looks like somebody missed me!" (Y/N) squeezed out a laugh, Bella cutting off his air supply with the grip of her hug.
"It's been absolute agony without you here, I have so much to tell you- and warn you about."
"Oh damn, that doesn't sound good," (Y/N) replied as Bella helped pick up one of his bags.
"It's crazy out here." She nodded, and the two shared a look that only childhood friends could share.
"Any cute guys?" they had a hushed conversation to the car, Charlie and James too wrapped up talking about fishing to pay attention.
"I'm sure you'd find them cute," Bella scoffed, throwing a teasing smile over her shoulder as she loaded the trunk.
(Y/N) scoffed back, betrayed at her diss.
"I'm sure you went for the stalker-ish one anyways." With a sly smirk he got into the backseat, closing the door on her denials.
...
(Y/N) had settled in, conveniently living next door to the Swan's house, and drove with Bella in her old truck to school that Monday.
"So, Jessica is into Mike and Angela is with Eric. And Tyler flirts with everybody, but nobody goes out with him?" (Y/N) recapped from the tangent of drama Bella had been giving him.
"Yup, pretty much," Bella confirmed, turning into the school parking lot.
"And all of the Cullen's are super hot- but they're dating each other?" (Y/N) asked, more suspiciously this time.
"Well, they're all adopted, but yes. Except for Edward- but I already told you what happened."
"Yeah the weird smelling thing and the he disappeared just to come back with a different eye color."
"They could just be colored contacts," Bella corrected, still not sure herself.
"Strange... Welp, let's do this," (Y/N) sighed as he got out of the passengers seat of the car.
Bella shrunk into his side, all of the attention on her once again. Last time it was because she was the new girl, but now it's because she had her attractive best friend with her.
"Yo, Bella!" Mike called out, giving (Y/N) a confused glare.
Bella waved back and started walking over, (Y/N) following at her side. Leaning down to whisper in her ear (Y/N) held back a laugh, "You left out the part about Mike's crush on you."
Bella just rolled her eyes as they met up with the group.
"You just moved here, right?" Angela asked, holding Eric's hand as they lent up against Tyler's van behind them.
"Yes, I did. I grew up with Bella in Arizona and where she goes I go," (Y/N) laughed, nudging Bella in the side jokingly.
That's when he noticed her distracted state. Following her line of sight he realized she was staring at a car full of probably the most attractive people he'd ever seen.
"Who's that?" (Y/N) asked the group, acting clueless to get more information.
"Those are the Cullen's-" Jessica jumped right into the rant about their family.
When she was done she came closer to (Y/N), grabbing hold of his hand as she batted her eyelashes at him. "Let me show you around!"
Shrugging, (Y/N) waved to Bella, who rolled her eyes at Jessica's obvious flirting.
...
"Where'd you find that guy? He's so hot," Jessica gushed to Bella at lunch. (Y/N) hadn't sat down yet so she'd finally gotten a second to ask.
"We grew up together- he wasn't that hot when we first met, trust me," Bella almost snorted, playing with the food on her tray.
"You guys aren't like..." trailing off she wiggled her eyebrows to imply.
"No- god, no," Bella laughed. "He's like my brother."
"Oh, good. Less competition then," Jessica sighed.
"I don't think you'll be having much luck either, Jessica," Angela pointed out, nodding in (Y/N)'s direction.
He was flirting with some guy in the lunch line, the guys face bright red as he laughed at something (Y/N) had said.
Jessica looked heartbroken but Angela and Bella just laughed about it.
When (Y/N) finally joined them Bella raised an eyebrow at him.
"What?" (Y/N) shrugged indignantly, opening his milk carton.
"Not even a full day in and you're already jumping on them," Bella teased, popping a grape into her mouth.
"Hey, you told me there wasn't any cute guys here, I just wanted to see what he was like," (Y/N) protested. "I didn't even like him that much. Kind of a dick."
Hearing a sudden and loud snort of laughter, (Y/N) and Bella turned around to see the Cullen's lunch table, Edward hiding his face as he looked towards the windows as his siblings glared at (Y/N). Or maybe they just all had RBF- save for the short girl with the pixie-like hair. She smiled at (Y/N) and waved, so he waved back.
"They're so weird," Jessica whispered as she dug into her lunch.
"How much have you actually talked to them?" (Y/N) questioned, taking a bite of his apple.
Jessica didn't answer for a minute, looking kind of embarrassed. Angela rolled her eyes, answering for her. "Once- and it was Edward rejecting her."
(Y/N) snorted and then apologized, "Sorry. It just seems like you're holding a grudge on people you barely know." He then changed the subject, not wanting to make an enemy out of Jessica.
She really seemed like a good friend, he didn't want to go pushing her buttons, that'd be mean.
...
"Mr. Molina, it's nice to meet you. I'm your new student, (Y/N)."
"Ahh, Mr. (L/N), is it?" (Y/N) nodded. "You can sit in front of Edward Cullen. You're lucky we had an empty seat," he joked, pointing to where he was talking about.
That was when (Y/N) got his good first look at Edward Cullen. His gaze was intense, just like Bella had said, but it was less scary than she described it.
Seemed like a guy worth getting to know.
Walking over to the desk with Bella, (Y/N) held out his hand to Edward. "You're Edward Cullen, right? Mr. Molina told me to sit in front of you, but I've heard stories and wanted to introduce myself." He smiled confidently.
Edward hesitantly took his hand and shook it, (Y/N) not reacting to the hard coldness of his skin.
Or at least he didn't show it- (Y/N) was immediately thrown off but didn't want to put off this attractive guy.
"Like you said, I'm Edward. It's nice to meet you."
"Likewise." (Y/N) winked and sat in his chair, not looking back at Edward or Bella once.
Bella just rolled her eyes with good nature. She'd seen him do this before, if she'd felt uncomfortable or threatened by someone, (Y/N) would draw the attention to himself. That's what worked about their friendship, he could take the attention that she didn't want.
At the end of class, (Y/N) packed up his things and then helped Bella do the same. He waved to Edward with a "Bye!" and they left.
Out in the parking lot his siblings all waited for him by the car.
"What's up?" Emmett asked, his arm around Rosalie.
Alice squealed, "Oh! It happened, didn't it? I thought it was Bella at first but then I saw him and just knew it would happen!" She jumped up and down and clapped her hands.
"What happened?" Rosalie questioned again, Jasper smirking as he sensed Edward's emotions.
"He fell in love," Alice stage-whispered. She was teasing him, of course, but Edward grumbled all the same.
They all piled into the car but before Edward got in he looked across the lot to see (Y/N) leaning on the truck hood talking to Bella.
He hadn't fallen in love. He couldn't- not with a human.
With Bella it was just an obscene thirst... but this was different.

Harry Potter x Female!Hufflepuff!McGonagall!Reader
(The Ron x Male!Ravenclaw!Granger!Reader is mentioned as "Granger"- but Hermione calls him "Peanut" because I definitely think she would call him that growing up, and Y/N is already taken in this series.)
---
It was Harry's sixth year and it was all the same, some imminent threat looming over his head, people staring at him, and Malfoy being a bully.
Sitting in Herbology, Harry groaned quietly as Professor Sprout said they were to be paired with someone from the opposite house, in this case Hufflepuff.
Ron gave him a sympathetic look and walked away, Hermione just shrugging at him. Suddenly, someone from behind him cleared their throat.
"Hello, I'm (Y/N) McGonagall. What's your name?" (Y/N) held out her hand with a confident smile as she waited for him to take it.
Harry was taken aback, shaking her hand anyways. "You don't know my name?"
"I do know your name, but I thought a formal introduction would be nice."
"Oh. I'm Harry Potter."
"Would you like to be partners, Potter?" She looked at him expectantly.
He nodded, not trusting his words, as she turned to the plant on the table, dropping her bag on the floor next to her stool.
"Your last name is McGonagall?" Harry asked, sitting hesitantly in his seat and facing her.
"She's my great aunt. And speaking of her, she actually sent me with a message for you," (Y/N) revealed, facing him.
"Oh," Harry was a bit disappointed, finding out this beautiful Hufflepuff was told to talk to him and that she didn't do it of her own volition.
"She just says she wants to see you after lunch, has something important to tell you, etcetera etcetera-" (Y/N) shrugged and turned back to the plant, inspecting its leaves.
She didn't need to partner up with him just to say that, but she had wanted to. (Y/N) hadn't gotten the chance to meet the great Harry Potter and she'd been going to school with him for 6 years now.
He's not as awe-striking as everyone was making it seem. He was just a teenage boy like all the others.
"Alright, Potter, let's see if you live up to your name. Let's try to pot this plant."
Harry was hooked. He was in love, actually. Not only had she not made a big deal about his name (cliché but still appreciated), but she'd also made a pun about it that had nothing to do with Voldemort.
Cue the pursuit of love Harry was quickly chasing.
They were partnered together for the next few weeks in herbology, so he got to spend time with her there- but now that he'd spoken with her he was seeing her everywhere.
They took opposite paths to most of their classes, passing each other in the corridors almost every period. Their friend groups all hung out in the courtyard most days, and she came to every quidditch game (Harry found this out after getting hit with a bludger after staring at her too long).
Staring at her from across the courtyard, Harry watched her laugh with her friends. He had yet to speak to her outside of herbology and the staring was getting creepy, or at least that's what Hermione said.
Ron didn't know what was going on because he was too wrapped up in Hermione's brother anyways, who was heading this way now.
They had a conversation and Harry barely tuned in to hear Ron talking about love.
"Love is so stupid," Hermione scoffed.
"I don't know, it could be kind of fun!" Ron had objected.
"How would you know?" Harry laughed, patting Ron's foot that was near him.
"Oh, what do you know about love, Harry?" Ron shot back.
"Not enough..." Harry said glumly, looking back across the yard to see (Y/N) still talking with her friends.
He got lost in his thoughts again, trying to figure out how to talk to her, or impress her. Try to get her to notice him, which hadn't been a problem with anybody else thus far, so it was proving a challenge.
She then packed up her things and left, and Harry frowned. He looked around the courtyard and saw Draco laughing with his group of lackies and stood up, turning to Hermione's little brother.
"Granger, you're really good at transfiguration, right?"
"What isn't he good at?" Ron asked, not expecting an answer.
"McGonagall loves you."
He was trying to distract himself by pranking Draco, but part of him thought that it might impress (Y/N).
...
Later that day they met under the staircase and Harry gave the younger Granger the spell to figure out, before Hermione whispered to him, "Harry, look."
(Y/N) was walking quickly across the stairs, looking behind herself at Draco. He seemed to be following her, and she didn't seem to like it if the uncomfortable look on her face and stiff posture said anything.
Harry quickly ran up the stairs, Hermione following.
"Just leave me alone, Malfoy," (Y/N) dismissed, still walking.
Draco jumped in front of her, blocking her path.
"Oh come on, you don't want to go to Hogsmeade with me?" Draco's sly smirk made its way onto his face,
"She said to leave her alone!" Harry shouted from behind (Y/N), causing them both to whip their heads around.
"Ugh, why are you here, Potter?" Draco sneered, looking Harry up and down.
"Leave her alone, Malfoy," Harry repeated, poison dripping off each word. He stepped in front of (Y/N), blocking her view of Draco.
"Or what, Potter?"
"You'll find out soon enough."
Draco just scoffed and started walking away. "If you change your mind, you know where to find me," he shouted to (Y/N).
"Don't count on it," she shouted back, rolling her eyes.
"Are you okay?" Harry asked once he was gone, turning around to face her.
"What in Merlin's left ball sack was that?" (Y/N) asked heatedly, glaring up at Harry.
Flabbergasted, Harry blinked and shook his head. "What do you mean?" he stuttered out.
"I can fight my own battles, Harry. Stepping in front of me like that not only undermined my power in the situation, but also let Draco know that he's welcome to bother me if you're not around."
Harry let the information sink and he nodded, somewhat dumbly.
"I'm sorry, I thought I was helping..." he trailed off unsurely.
(Y/N) sighed, "I can't forgive you quite yet, I'm still angry- but you cannot do that again. If you wanted to help you could have stood by my side, not in front of me. Partnership and teamwork is more powerful against harassment than just butting heads," she gently tried to explain.
"I'm not a damsel in distress or some princess you need to save, so please don't try to unless I ask you to."
She started walking away and Harry just watched her go, Hermione approaching from behind.
"She has a point, Harry. I know you and Malfoy have this whole 'enemies' thing going on, but stepping in front of her was not the right move," Hermione reiterated, pulling him by the arm.
"Come on, Peanut and Ron are waiting."

I enjoyed writing this so I hope I can keep this motivation to write it- I hope you guys liked it!
Listen listen listen I don’t have an addiction I’m just a Ravenclaw who thinks Hermione is cool and Ron is cute ok I don’t have a problem (I probably do) but like I was imagining a couple months down the line when Ron and y/n are more comfortable they start hugging in public, Ron has his hand on y/n’s back when they’re walking together, etc, and Hermione’s like NOT IN MY WIZARDING ACADEMY and scares the everliving shit out of ron when his hand “wanders” a bit too low (again, a problem is likely)
Getting Handsy
Literally been having such a shitty week and these are what's keeping me alive- if you have a problem so do I.
I LOVE IT WHEN THEY GET ALL COMFY- like don't get me wrong, the awkward beginnings are adorable, but when they finally feel 100% comfortable with each other its so cute!

Dating (Y/N) had felt like a dream to Ron, and the same going for (Y/N). They had been dating for almost six months when they started doing more PDA in public. Holding hands, hugging, kissing, all of it.
Ron couldn't keep his hands off (Y/N), mostly because physical touch is his love language, but also because he felt comfort whenever he could feel his boyfriend.
It didn't bother (Y/N) in the slightest so they would often be seen doing PDA, much to Hermione's dismay.
It was the last week of school before summer break, and Ron was getting clingy. He couldn't stand not being able to see (Y/N) everyday and would miss him dearly, so he wasn't planning on missing an opportunity to love his boyfriend in person.
They were at one of the last quidditch games, Harry as seeker and Ron as keeper, against the Slytherins. After they'd won, everybody began crowding the Gryffindor team.
(Y/N) and Hermione decided to stand outside the crowd, choosing life over being trampled. Suddenly they saw Ron and Harry squeezing through the edge of the crowd and make their way towards them.
"Ron, Harry! You both did wonderfully!" (Y/N) congratulated, pulling Ron into a hug. Ron's hands went down to his waist, pulling him close as he returned it.
"Thanks, (Y/N), seems like practice payed off," Harry laughed, eyes darting around as if he was looking for somebody.
Hermione brushed off his shoulders and fixed his hair in a sisterly way, patting his cheek after. "It wasn't all practice, you've got talent that brought you the rest of the way."
Harry smiled down at her, "Thanks, 'Mione."
He started to whisper something to her and they walked a little ways off, not that Ron and (Y/N) minded.
Lips locked, they rocked back and forth in their spot, gentle kisses placed on each others lips. (Y/N) pulled back and peppered his face in kisses, causing a giggle to escape his lips.
When the kiss became more heated, Ron's hands started roaming (and so did (Y/N)'s).
"Weasley, get your hands off my brother and have some shame!" Hermione completely interrupted her conversation with Harry as she started storming towards the couple. "You are in the middle of the quidditch field for gods sake!"
Having the sense to look embarrassed, Ron broke off of (Y/N) at her shouting, clearing his throat and rubbing the back of his neck.
"As much as I enjoyed that," (Y/N) whispered to Ron, "Hermione's right. You need to get cleaned up and head to dinner," he finished loud enough so they could all hear.
Running his hands down Ron's arms, he took hold of his hand and pulled him along to the castle, looking back and laughing at how red his face was.
They could hear Hermione scoff in disgust as she walked beside Harry, glaring at their joined hands.
"Didn't take you as the overprotective type, 'Mione," Harry thought aloud, finding amusement in what had happened.
"I just don't get why they constantly have to run off to snog every five minutes, much less do it in front of me. Ron's getting very cheeky with his hands," she hissed, squinting at the back of his head.
"You're still friends with him, right?" Harry seemed a touch concerned, realizing he hadn't payed much thought to how their relationships had been going (he'd been so focused on his own).
"That's what's so weird about it! He's completely normal whenever (Y/N) isn't around, maybe a bit gloomy, but tolerable. He usually doesn't talk to me about (Y/N) after I threatened to use an unforgivable curse on him-" Hermione shrugged nonchalantly before she was cut off.
"You what?" Harry guffawed, knowing (more like hoping) she was joking. "You threatened him?"
"He's dating my little brother! I had to do something," Hermione shot back, glaring indignantly at him.
"Alright, as an only child I can't argue with that. And you and (Y/N) still get on without Ron there?"
"Of course we do. We still fight, but we'd fight whether he's dating my friend or not."
"Don't they both seem happier together?" Harry speculated, watching Ron bump his shoulder into (Y/N)'s as they laughed about something he said.
Hermione watched them too, her shoulders deflating some. "I just don't want to watch him get hurt. Either of them, really," she admitted.
"It's not your responsibility to pick up after them, Hermione. If something happened between them- they're big boys. They can figure it out themselves. Don't get me wrong, you can still support them both and comfort them, but it wouldn't be your problem to solve. They got together just fine on their own, didn't they?" Harry lectured wisely.
Staring at him like he had two heads, Hermione shook hers, "Where'd you pull that from, Potter? I've never heard be you so emotionally mature before..."
Harry just shrugged, a blush warming his face.
"Ohhh... this is about-"
"Harry!" A voice called from behind them, making Harry look back. A smile brightened his face and he patted Hermione's shoulder.
"I'll see you guys later, save me a seat at the table!" And he was off.
Great, now she had to third wheel.
...
That night Hermione stumbled sleepily down the common room stairs, rubbing her eyes awake. She'd woken up in the middle of the night and wanted to go down to the kitchens for something to eat.
The crackling of the fire threw her off, someone must've been down there. Creeping further out of the shadows Hermione saw who it was.
Asleep and tangled around each other on the couch was her brother and best friend. (Y/N) was on top of Ron, drool dripping onto Ron's shirt and legs intertwined. Ron was holding (Y/N) with a blanket thrown over them (their feet sticking out).
Hermione stopped for a moment, taking in the scene in front of her. Harry's words came back to her, and instead of worrying she smiled, pulling the blanket over their feet and adding a log to the fire.
Sneaking out quietly she made her way down to the kitchens, running into someone on the way there...

Okay I'm giving Hermione one too, but it's gonna be a little different than these!
