also while I’m yapping about bleach it actually would have been so interesting and novel to have orihime’s arc be her finding herself outside of Ichigo. She TWICE acknowledges how she feels secondary to rukia in ichigo’s world (THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT THE TEXT SAYS MIND YOU!!!) and it actually would have been so fresh to see a stereotypical shonen female character grow beyond her affection for the male main character who’s clearly in love with someone else and ACTS on that love over and over and over again. godddd what could have been.
