♚ Do you agree with fandom interpretation of your character?
Probably not, because most fandom thinks he's in love with Taichi or Sora or Mimi or Takeru or anybody except Joe. :)
He's a LOT less 'cool' than he looks, in both composure and the "not-being-a-dork" sense.
Music is important to him, but it's not THE most important thing. Or even the only thing. So all the things where people think he should have been a rock star, or focus on his bands and nothing else, seem off to me. He'll be playing acoustic guitar and harmonica live from space. That seems more like the concert he really wants to give.
He's a Cancer, ruled by the Moon. The first opening, his Crest, Gabumon, and a lot of other things make this incredibly obvious. Not a Pisces. (he's got a Pisces Mars to deal with, if you really want to know).
He's not a tsundere to anybody except Taichi. (Remember the diner episode? ("Who are you?" "His friend!"). He even says it twice.). He's more complicated, and more honest with his feelings, than a stereotypical catchphrase.
Just shy and generally uncomfortable unless he knows you really well, but once he speaks (and it's gonna be with force), ain't no stopping him. Yes, he'll tell you how stupid you are and your plans are (because they probably are, Taichi, Takeru...), but it's just as likely he'll apologize—eventually. He can be nice, even not grumpy, around people. Really. Just takes circumstances. :)
He's not a brooding emo delicate flower (is this even still an interpretation?). He's stronger than that, and he's just as likely to be sulking and writing lyrics outside somewhere as in, especially if he's got Gabumon. He's got a very active nature to cope with his dark moods— and years of experience. Please don't have him fainting away and self-harming for six weeks. That's not him.
I don't think fandom focuses on how much he cares about everybody, and the things he does because of that, and the way he needs everyone.
And yeah, I think he's in love with Joe, hopelessly or not, repressed or realized or not, and that hasn't changed for a while. It's always going to be at least part of my interpretation, fandom or not.
