The NRA is a terrorist organization. The NRA is terrorizing Americans, and too many elected officials in the American government are the NRAâs enablers and co-conspirators.

Ya MCM said ew when you told him you were on your period. Heâs 27.
That shit is forever nasty lol
Bruh like what are you supposed to do with it? Play in it? Come on now
Ya MCM thinks periods are nasty because he canât play in it. He was born in 1986.
periods arent nasty but woman arent supposed to have them its actually poor diet that causes them look it up just a fun factÂ
Ya MCM thinks periods are a result of a poor diet. Heâs over 18.
This nigga thinks periods are like optional. And was confident enough to try to tell a woman with a vagina that that was a fact. The internet is wild bruh.
W i l d. and he deadass.
âŠâŠâŠâŠ
Iâm so glad I had comprehensive health classes in school. I couldnât imagine being that dense
Actually, heâs not wrong. For Black women, a period is called such because it should LITERALLY appear to be a drop of blood, hence a PERIOD. Heavy blood flow is caused from hemorrhaging in the system, which isnât natural. Thatâs why it hurts, as I would imagine. It really does involve diet.
Ya MCM thinks black women menstruate in a different way than other women.
I am literally going to end my life. Itâs called a period as in period of time. A period of time I wish your mothers had not missed

now THIS is an ally
Awe dude his sister died last year and she was gay.
And he had this huge mass wedding party to honor her.
And he called a bunch of celebrity chefs to make the food for it.
Wow this is⊠really cute?
Iâm⊠sympathizing with Guy Fieri?
(And he did 101 gay weddings because he was trying to compare the Attorney General against marriage equality to Cruella DeVille, like, 101 dalmations.)
THE TRUE UNPROBLEMATIC FAVE
Come to think of it I never actually found a single reason to dislike him. To my knowledge heâs just a goofball who likes food.
Okay, so as far as I can tell, the whole thing people kinda roll their eyes about is Guy Fiereiâs whole presentation. Heâs loud and heâs got the bleached hair and he kinda seems like the annoying frat bro chanting âShots!â at a party.Â
But.
Dudeâs biggest show on TV is one where he drives around and highlights tiny restaurants that make good food. (And they do- I found my favorite pizza place in town because it was on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.) And theyâre all little places, usually run by family or something, making food they love. So heâs doing an amazingly awesome thing for these small restaurants, driving a lot of business to them. I found this article thatâs talking about how places see a definite bump in sales, and they can even tell when a repeat airs, because theyâll still get emails and stuff.Â
And thereâs the fact that every time he goes out to film an episode, he invites a kid along from the Make-a-Wish foundation- actually, he invites their whole family, so no one feels left out. Apparently, that happens on all his shows, which is pretty amazing. Again, this is because of his sister- she was diagnosed with cancer as a kid, and beat it, though she died of melanoma a few years ago. So because he went through that as a kid, he does a lot to help out families who are dealing with that sort of thing. Itâs pretty awesome.
I admit it, Iâve made fun of him before, because he does have that whole attitude that kinda grates. But when you put that aside, heâs a dude whoâs enjoying himself, helping out a lot of people, and talking a lot about food he thinks is delicious. So good for him. Thereâs worse things in the world.
I have always and will always love guy. heâs such a big goofâŠwhatâs not to loveâŠ
Y'all Guy is wonderful. He got his start on Next Food Network Star and I remember that season very vividly. I saw it as a kid. He just wants people to have fun while they eat. Thatâs literally his only goal. There was a challenge where they had to make cupcakes for 5 year olds and everyone made these boring ass cupcakes like âOh theyâre decorated like the 4 seasons see its educationalâ and they were criminally dull. The only thing that was changed was the frosting. And Guy comes up and starts making all these crazily shaped sushi cupcakes. Like cutting them into goofy shapes, making them bite sized, modeling them after dragons and stuff, it was so cool and the kids were EXCITED. He gets what makes thing fun on a fundamental, basic level. Heâs not a douchebag frat boy. Heâs that crazy uncle you were always excited to see at family gatherings.
Go watch Guyâs Grocery Games. Its on Hulu. Heâs so goofy and fun and heâs just as excited for the winners as the winners themselves. The show really makes me happy to watch.
Yâall I joke on Guy Fieri but he geninely is an amazing motherfucker.
I was at work today for Labour Day and on TV was Good Morning America. The theme was celebrating the American worker and their accomplishments. Iâll tell you how it went down.
Kelly put on her glasses, smile wide, and pulled out a piece of paper which she read from. The paper was from an article (which I have issues with, but I will leave alone for now) by ABC news. Kelly proceeded only to read the opening of it, which reads: âAmericans work more than anyone in the industrialized world. More than the English, more than the French, way more than the Germans or Norwegians. Even, recently, more than the Japanese. And Americans take less vacation, work longer days, and retire later, too.â
And everyone cheered.
And they kept cheering when Kelly put her paper down and smiled at everyone. (not continuing with the rest of the article which suggests that this may in fact be a problem).
And I just couldnât BELIEVE that anyone was cheering. America. AMERICA you work more than the French, who are entitled by law to have 5 weeks off a year for vacation and can not work more than 35 hours per week. You work more than Norway, who average 33 hours per week and 44,000 dollars a year. Germany, where AGAIN, we see a shorter work week and better pay! And all of these countries have health care and better pay and free/affordable education!
WHY ARE YOU CHEERING?
I have a different interpretation of this information: the American worker is the most taken advantage of worker in the industrialized world. Itâs plain and simple. You work long hours and get horrible pay. You take multiple jobs and work and work and work just to get by. Unions are disappearing, jobs are always looking for part timers and all you are doing is giving up your time for less money, less vacation, less safety and stability and less education than anyone else on the list.
Celebrate Labour day. Celebrate the accomplishments of the common worker, but donât let these people trick you into thinking you should celebrate the theft of your time and energy, or the fruits of your labour.
They are using you. Stop cheering.

No. Just no. Ok?
So I used to make this joke all the time. Now I have chronic tinnitus. For those of you who donât know what that is, itâs nerve damage in your ears which often comes as a result of being constantly exposed to very loud noise for a long period of time. The nerve damage results in a constant ringing/buzzing in your ears. So far thereâs no cure. The severity of it varies, and Iâm lucky to have a mild case, which I can barely hear during the day and is easy to block out at night. That said, loads of people with tinnitus arenât so lucky. Severe tinnitus canât be blocked out. Those who suffer from it also suffer from severe loss of sleep, depression, anxietyâŠ. the list goes on. Tinnitus also comes with a degree of hearing loss in most cases, making it even harder to ignore. In fact, some people with severe tinnitus kill themselves just to make the ringing stop. Tinnitus can be so severe that it drives a person to suicide. Chronic tinnitus used to mostly be prevalent in older people who worked for years with loud machinery etc, but all of a sudden itâs becoming more common in our generation. Why? Because of people, like me, who listened to their music too goddamn loudly through their headphones.
Deaf by the time youâre 20? Please. Thatâs the least of your worries.
Please reblog. This post reminded me to move my music further away and turn it down. Someone else may need to be more cautious of their shit too.
Chronic mild tinnitus here, too, due to too many metal concerts in my youth. Turn your headphones down a little. Wear earplugs at concerts. Protect your ears.
Your eyes have an iris that can shrink down, and eyelids that can squint shut, to protect them from light that is too bright. Your ears have NOTHING to block out sounds that are too loud. Itâs up to you.
Tinnitus sufferer from drumline in high school checking in. These days I wear earplugs at concerts, rehearsals, clubs, and even movies sometimes. Get yourself a set that look like these ones:
Etymotics Research was one of the first companies Iâm aware of to widely market with this sort of ear plug, and theyâre great, because they reduce noise fairly evenly across the spectrum, and so you hear everything accurately, just quieter.  While theyâre certainly more expensive than the foam earplugs that you see everywhere, they also are washable and last for months and months, and sound great, if not better than without for live music.  Please protect your ears.  There is no way to recover lost hearing.
Apparently I had this. I just thought silence was a ringing sound
you also might have even been âbornâ with this. a lot of people with sensory issues (especially autistic or ADD/ADHD people) experience this when itâs silent around them but havent actually hurt their ears with music at all.
so its also a sensory processing thing and you can be âbornâ with it (aka develop with it in childhood) like i have
Wait I thought that ringing was normal?? I hear ringing when its dead silent are you seriously saying my ADHD causes this???? I thought everyone had that???!!??!
normal people dont have that ringing noise. while itâs minor in cases of sensory development issues from developmental disorders, it can be severe if a person with a developmental disorder listens to loud music. i know that sometimes during a sensory overload from autism, the ringing will become terribly loud
Oh lord ok. Be careful with loud noises. Gotcha. I didnt realize not everyone hears that ringing. I thought it was normal so I never asked if anyone else heard it too. Thanks for the warning about loud music! Ive always tried to avoid going to concerts because of the ringing but I thought it was a thing everyone put up with and that I was being a wimp. Im glad I have an explanation!
Oh my god wait itâs not normal to hear ringing when itâs dead silent??? And it can result from sensory processing issues?? Oh man this is revelation after revelationÂ
Thatâs Not Who We Are
Was suprised to find out this strip had been nominated for an Ignatz award this morning. I was not expecting that, and I am beyond honored to have been considered. Thankyou to Matt Bors and The Nib for commisioning it from me, and thankyou to Eleri Harris my wonderful editor.
