“God?”She almost laughed but stopped herself after taking a look at the other person. “I’m a realist , and what i’ve seen?No god in their right mind would back that. N O G O D. Religion is good though. Keeps you grounded to something. “ Shaun shoved her hands into her pockets. She had to bite her tongue for the woman felt as if, if she kept on , she’d end up saying something stupid. Not many people to talk to who were vaguely in the same profession. She didn’t want to mess this up. 

“You want the truth? Early on fighting those malevolent creatures , you stop asking why these things happen. You just do.” 

“Say , you look l o n e l y.” Her words were spoken with a hint of tease.

“Woah! Hey sorry about spilling my smoothie all over you! I, uh, can buy you a new shir-t?”

“I always love a strong woman in power.” Shaun spoke up, after appearing almost suddenly by the woman. She’s definitely admiring Nadine’s form , although it might not be as  easily visible through her gas mask. She sticks out a gloved hand to the woman. “I’m Shaun. Illuminati. My boss sent me to talk face to face.” 

“And what , do tell, have you found?” Shaun smiled as her finger haloed the rim of her glass. She’d found this man at a bar and started talking over drinks. He mentioned he was an adventurer and this peaked Shaun’s interest. She was leaned up with her elbows on the table, listening closely.
