@noxturnalfate really did not ask for this, but gets it anyway
Jack was holding on for dear life on the railing of their porch. He was trying to breathe in and out and let the pain was over him. Beside him, a horrified Tess was just stending next to her father, not sure if she could move or say anything. He's been home for 2 days, after being realised from his stabbing happening.
"I'm so...fucking sorry dad." Jack let out a pained scoff. "Don't curse." he whispered, but did not really mean it either. "I just wanted to give you a hug...I forgot about - " "You good honey...." Jack cut her off. He felt really faint , felt like the color had drained from his face and cold sweats had appeared on his temple. Despite the intense pain, he looked down at his daughter and smiled. "Happens, don't sweat it."
She came closer and hugged his arm. Jack leaned down and kissed her head. "I'm here, princess, don't worry." he whispered. His grip on the railing was even stranger because it took all his will power and strength to remain up and not show any sign of pain in front of her. "Could you get your father for me? And then get to that homework , cause you did say fuck." Tess nodded. She did not even argue. "Yeah, no problem. You okay dad right? " Jack nodded. "I am." he was not. "Okay"
Tess got inside, and Jack waited as long as he could before breathing out the pain. "Daddy? " Tess called to get her other dad's attention in the kitchen. "Dad is asking for you, he's on the porch...I may...have fu-dged up ...I touched his wound on the back trying to hug him? I was gentle but...erm...I think I did hurt him still ? " Tess's face did the same thing as Jack's when he was guilty or felt bad of something. "I have homework to do so...that's where you'll find me"
When Jack heard footsteps and look behind him, there was some relief. He had not yet moved, he felt that if he did, all hell would break loose. Being stabbed was not new, but everything held with threads right now, may it be internally or externally, and while his clavicle wound was not the problem anymore, his backwound was not doing well. "Think the sutures broke..." he whispered when Weylen was close enough and he leaned on his husband for balance.
